  1. Thanks guys, I couldn't find a website but I've got the number I think, I'll look them up when I'm there.
  2. Sadly the army has seen fit to move me from Edinburgh to Catterick in Yorkshire. Can anyone recommend a good place to get the 370 taken care of while I'm there for the next couple of years?
  3. As appealing as it was I simply couldn't justify the £280 to have the car treated. I will probably do a big clean & clay this week, hopefully the sun will hold on long enough for me to apply some FK-1000 and that will have to do for the winter. I'd consider having a product like this put on if I had the bumper or the whole car resprayed. Thank you for the advice though, I've stored it away and will use at a later date.
  4. The competition are using GYEON products, is there much of a difference Ricey?
  5. I'm thinking of having it put on the car for the winter since I'm entering a very busy career period and won't be able to wax and polish regularly for the next 12 months. Any experience or thoughts?
  6. Good Year Eagle F1's for me, I don't have the experience of some of the other members on here but I've found the grip and road noise to be excellent compared to Bridgestone or Kumho tyres.
  7. Well I like the look of the "Limited Series" Platinum Type-R Shift Knob (http://bloxracing.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&path=65_120_156&product_id=359) Though from the options it didn't look they did a six speed manual version with a nissan fitment?
  8. Sorry do these only come as pictured or are there different finishes/colours available?
  9. Hey all, It was a large rock wedged in between the exhaust and the cross member. Took us nearly 40 minutes to find it, was bloody difficult to see unless you were at just the right angle. Only cost me £20! Much happier now, feel like I've got a thorn out of my paw!
  10. Hey gang, thanks for the speedy reply. The noise is coming from the middle of the car possibly more on the passenger side. I have an akrapovic full exhaust with Berks HFCs and already have the hiss that is common with such a setup, this is different because the noise is only audible inside the car which makes me think it must be something knocking against something. My nearest friendly garage is Dynatune or Infinity in Glasgow so I might have to have a random in Edinburgh lift it up for me, probably means paying a fortune for nothing í ½í¸•
  11. Hello all, Had a rather spirited drive from Edinburgh to York this weekend. When I get to York, and every time I get in the car subsequently I get an irritating rattling noise when the car is warming up (goes away quickly) or when coasting in low gears at low speed (doesn't go away). I don't think its the usual clutch rattle because it happens even when the clutch is pressed/depressed. Its also much more audible inside the car rather than outside it. Is there anything that usually comes loose or rattles? When I do a google search I just get millions of articles about the clutch issue. Many thanks Luka
  12. Its pretty lush, all credit belongs to the previous owner to be fair, two grand for an exhaust would have been a bit much for me! I am thinking of getting rid of the Berks by the way due to the hissing/rattling when I take my foot off, I keep thinking ill get used to it but it still bugs me.
  13. I've got Berks with an Akrapovic titanium exhaust, fitment is fine but I'm not sure how much that tells you.
  14. I'm in Edinburgh buddy, gunmetal 370.
  15. I take it you have a friendly mechanic to do your MOT with the ART pipes as well?
  16. thanks for all of the above, I'm running an Akrapovic titanium exhaust, I'll look into the ART pipes. I have some as new ( 200 miles ) invidia decats if you fancy trying them ? £130 I'm tempted, but I'm also concerned about passing my MOT as well. Also by the time I've fitted them and seen if it works for me its a bit late to change your mind! How come you're getting rid of em?
  17. thanks for all of the above, I'm running an Akrapovic titanium exhaust, I'll look into the ART pipes.
  18. FTFY. welcome to my world! I've noticed today that I've got some major scratches (top layer only to be fair) on the passenger door, it might be due to bad mitt action or a previous sponge related incident. I've tried manual polishing but I'm getting nowhere. I'm based in Edinburgh, anyone give me a rough idea how much it would cost to have it buffed out??
  19. Have you heard a car with Berks on and can you tell me how you think the rasp compares? I've got Berks and I'm trying to find a non-raspy solution.
  20. Whats the widest you could go with these at the rear without having to mess about with modifying arches etc?
  21. I'll get through my little tub of Supernaturals first and then give the 1000P a shot, I've ordered the AutoGlym Super Resin stuff simply because it was so much cheaper on Amazon then Poorboys stuff and the reviews seemed pretty good. I'm sure the bug will bite again and ill give Poorboys a shot. I've got matt black wheels, is it worth sticking the 1000P on them if I ever get them in order to discourage break dust?
  22. Every time I log onto this forum I end up buying something else, it would have been cheaper to develop a crack cocaine habit. Ok so once I get my All in One is it still helpful to apply a wax afterwards or am I wasting my time? Incidentally thank you for answering my idiotic questions.
  23. I take your point about tar spots and oxide marks but if you're careful clay is an effective way of getting rid of them in my experience. At a certain point the amount of different products you need simply becomes daft. As for polishing I guess its difficult because I have a car that has been well taken care of and I would describe the paintwork to be in good condition (aside from the front bumper obviously) so I'm not likely to see something revolutionary. I used Meguiar's Deep Crystal polish, applied and worked in with a sponge-like applicator pad and then buffed out with a fine microfiber cloth. All in all I probably spent a good two hours just on that stage and I'm a reasonably fit guy who doesn't mind working hard. I understand people spend days on this but I'm in Scotland and don't have a garage, if I don't get the bloody thing done in a few hours the weather will go mental and it will all be for nought. Could you explain to me the difference between a glaze and a polish and also recommend a decent product that isn't ball breakingly expensive?
