  1. Lovely just did this at the weekend very easy, hardest part was removing and fitting the undertray actually!
  2. Any chance of some close ups of the drivers side bolster? Yours look in better condition than mine just not sure how much
  3. Awesome stuff, is there a photo of the rear indicators illuminated? I couldn't see easily but I guess the inner block is the reverse light and the outer blocks is the indicator, where are the lights for the rear fog lamp?
  4. The video doesn't show the reverse or fog light, how do they look?
  5. Mine too, plenty of ebay sellers will create you random decals of whatever text you want, I'm just going to sand mine down, repaint, apply the decals then lacquer and smooth. A friend of mine uses these sort of services for custom guitar heads and says once you flatten the lacquer it's perfectly smooth and un noticeable.
  6. Never had this on the 350 but the gf's quashqai had a lower engine mount that perished, you could wiggle it by hand so was pretty obvious. In terms of driving the give away was letting the engine switch from driving the transmission to the transmission driving the engine, you could feel the engine moving as the mount wasn't holding it securely so it rotated.
  7. Ah I live in Great Cambourne so not far away at all! I'm lazy and don't leave till 8:30 9 tho, not that any time seems to make the A14 anymore enjoyable. I did see a red parked outside the library once and got annoyed! So far I've only seen 3 reds in 4 years of ownership. Guessing you've seen even less white 370's mind!
  8. Cool stuff, new car or just a random encounter? Haven't seen a white 370 around as a regular in these parts
  9. Have you tried the 2 pennies trick? That worked for me when I had to press the boot release button twice. worked for a year or 2 but back to how it was before now, the springs compress I guess
  10. If the boot isn't popping isn't that the springs that need replacing vs the struts? Who does replacement springs? I always have to pop my boot twice
  11. Nice! Talk us through what you did a bit
  12. I was in the red 350z, we saluted each other
  13. Get your door handles colour matched to the wheels! That's what I've done with my red beauty and looks amazing
  14. Woo finally fitted mine! Last piece of the puzzle was to reroute the washer pipes as the oil cooler installation had meant they were mounted below the screw in points. I made a little hanger for them.. https://db.tt/clHiEInA With that done bolting the tray on took all of 4 minutes! Some lovely pics of my new shiny part.. https://db.tt/yQfJEr3D https://db.tt/2OvU9TkN Really happy! Can't stress enough that all the issues I've had were down to the mods from previous owners. Any stock car this would have taken literally 15minutes so don't be put off by my adventures!
  15. Am I right in thinking that you need a mapping change to make use of the gains? Otherwise no change?
  16. When I read this my first thought was that they need a refurb. Mine have been done twice. First time by a detailer after I tried and mucked them up, second time my other half did them by hand like you have done and they came up amazing. Lots of people think their lights are fogged up but it's actually on the outside! Yours will look great now. +1 when I first got the car mine were a bit foggy but my garage cleaned them up as part of a wash and quick detail. They're starting to go again so better have a look, lasted 4 years since the last time though!
  17. They certainly look nicer than a prius. The interior doesn't look too shabby either. I think I'd always want a sports car and I'm still a bit iffy on how all those batteries and having them changed through the cars lifetime really makes it friendlier but it does look cool and they're built in the UK so that's something Probably more fun and a nicer feeling than buying some high MPG tasteless thing that you see everywhere!
  18. So weirdly I removed them a few months back as I didn't think they were helping and the errors were slightly less. Touch wood the sensors trip very rarely (once a month if that) Maybe they just need time to bed in and clean up?
  19. I've a used OEM one which as far as I can tell has all the bolt holes intact and untorn
  20. I've seen him a few times as well although he's never looked back at me *rejected* own up!
  21. I went with Torqen's stoptech deal and went the slotted and drilled route people seem to rate them better, the coating is more sensibly applied as well as the drilled pattern being more what I wanted. Can't say what the actual performance difference is but I'm pleased with them
  22. MDMetal

    Breaks squeal

The nice pads have a soft material on the back of the pads so shims aren't needed (I've hawk ceramics) The cheaper one's don't (whatever my old ones are) and so shims are needed with grease either side. I had this the first time I swapped my pads and shims fixed it instantly. This time I bought nice pads and don't need the shims anymore (should probably clean em and sell them!)
  23. Will do I know what I'm doing now thankfully! If I ever find the previous owner I'm going to strangle them! Who fits an oil intercooler and then cable ties the under tray back instead of replacing 3 of the 4 bolts! Hoping to get them out tonight then I can bolt the back section in and It'll be all sorted
  24. This has been on my to do list for awhile looks awesome, really need to fix my seats so they match the quality though
  25. It bolts directly into the same points as the stock, however as it's metal not plastic it wont sag. Worth checking if your existing tray is correctly attached, mine wasn't.
