  1. I average 22ish mpg around town. motorway obviously more, maybe 30 if I'm lucky.
  2. Ok cheers alex, probably the safest option! Found a place online that does postal service for £30 so not too bad (cheaper than caliper!) any ideas of what to use to block off hose once caliper off?
  3. one for the list. WIll probably take the whole caliper off to get to grips with it properly and avoid any crap getting into the system. Dblock, will let you know but Easyout (plus a little heat) is the first option! 7 out of 8 nipples were fine though so you may be OK! replaced them all anyway so new ones in now.
  4. working on the car today and replacing the nipples and bleeding the brakes (Brembo) .... all fine with a little persuasion until the last one which due to my super human strength decided to part ways with the other half of itself thankfully not low enough down to leak!!! really don't want to replace the caliper because of one broken nipple so any bright ideas / useful tools to remove the broken part?? Please!
  5. Welcome! spacers very easy to fit! which bit of London are you in? I'm near Tottenham if that's close and you want help
  6. So we're in area C then. What time are most people planning to arrive? And what times are the track sessions?
  7. Gauchos is very nice but expensive so depends how rich you feel! triple figures for decent meal with drinks without going too mad! And there are plenty of old school decent pubs hanging on! list of the Samuel Smiths ones here if you like a decent beer in an oldie world pub: http://www.londonerseye.com/where-are-all-the-samuel-smith-pubs/ Harry Potter should be cool! Imperial War Museum is also pretty impressive and free! http://www.iwm.org.uk/visits/iwm-london Holocaust exhibit is worth a see though pretty heavy going. and all the other places mentioned should be good! you'll be tired by the end of it!
  8. Anywhere in that area will be fairly touristy (i.e. expensive) but if you look for Wetherspoons they can be OK for beer and non killer food prices. For better quality and (relatively) cheaper prices look for Samuel Smiths pubs (not many around but they have their own beer which is good and don’t charge the earth!) Aberdeen Steakhouse isn’t that good but if you want good meat go to Bodeans (one in Soho, one in Tower Hill) Southern US slow cooked meat that is really good! Also do some web searching for 2 for 1 offers etc at chain restaurants. What else do you want to see? Worth getting out of the centre a bit as mostly touristy! Camden is a different area and has a cool market and lots of smaller restaurants / pubs that aren’t too bad? Get an Oyster card as well to save some money on the tube / bus etc, only a fiver deposit which I think you can get back at the end? Enjoy!
  9. does anyone know what the noise limits are for the track there on the day and more importantly if a K1 / rest OEM is likely to be too loud? If so it can wait til afterwards to be fitted! edit: just found the limit for Castle Coombe is 100db(A) so time to see how loud the K1 is! Edit: search and the answer will become clear! http://www.350z-uk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=62&t=36800&start=0
  10. Looks lovely! was it Cancun? had honeymoon there and loved it if you do go back do your best to get to the Mayan ruins, very worth it and good to get out of the more touristy bits. Chichen Itza good but Palenque very nice as well but a lot further I need to go back one day as well.
  11. I'm on the original clutch and 67K and no problems as said though breakdown cover would be a good idea anyway
  12. Strange you say at pal, the majority of people who own z32's do so because there favourite part is the front lights, yet old school Z enthusiasts reckon the lights are an oddity, think its because the lights were a completely new design from the 240's, 260's ect There the lights used on the late Lambo Diablo and Nissan R390 tho an it's what drew me to the 300, very older supercar looking I thought fair enough, they could grow on me I guess! both very nice looking cars though.
  13. my wife sent me the link though not sure why she was looking!!!??? hopefully she isn't planning any torture!
  14. Hope this isn't a repost but just in case you needed advice on the use of hair removal creme read this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/review/R231U4ZG0YDNHD/ref=cm_cr_pr_viewpnt#R231U4ZG0YDNHD
  15. glad to hear it! mines standard and the oldest model so I'll be holding everyone up looking forward to it though!
  16. Looking good! will have one of these one day though have never been 100% if I like the front lights
  17. hhhmmmm doesn't look quite right! in this pic looks liek it's been snapped and is sagging in the middle:
  18. looking great! very excited now! if anyone else is leaving from London let me know!
  19. Thank you! I'd better start saving for those hearing aids!
  20. If you do split I'd be interested in the brake lines?
  21. I know a good industrial road that's quiet at night, has roundabouts at both ends and long enough to do 3 60-10 stops each loop if you get stuck. Is in north london though off tyhe A406. might be worth you looking around charlton way where it's industrial to see what's possible?
  22. Congrats!!! bet you;re very happy, a new stage in your life. Leave your current job in a good / the right way. As much as you hate it you cna look back and know you did the right thing and were the bigger person. And know they'll still be there in the same mess in years to come!
