  1. I used that last week. worked a treat
  2. I don't have that one but I do have the JWT light weight one. It does make a noticeable difference to how quickly the revs climb and fall compared to stock.
  3. This would be a brilliant feature in any man cave Top work
  4. You must have a steady hand and the patients of a saint!
  5. Another happy customer Its amazing how OEM it looks in place
  6. I bought a cheapo Chinese one from eBay. It's ok but I'd prob spend a bit more and get a decent one. To be fair tho all I use it for is to plug a usb stick In to play music & sat nav and it does this fine. I just purchased a cheapo Chinese reverse camera aswel and it works a treat. 7. Yeh that's the one! I was on my phone and couldn't find the sizes but remember it now. That good news I'd love to do an engine rebuild at some point but not got the facilities just now, just hope it happens by choice and not forced on me Cutting it fine for getting the feel of the new engine for the competition!
  8. Cheers. It got to the point of sell and move on or keep and commit, but still loved driving it so put the money for another car into getting this up to scratch. Just need to get the balls to take it on track haha Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  9. I know it seemed to drag in at the end! It's the next size down, can't remember the size off the top of my head. I measured it cause i did think about changing it for the smallest one but wasn't sure if that would be pushing it too much too soon. They are 600cc but were a total pain to get the fueling sorted. The fueling chart was almost the polar opposite compared to normal. Chris smoothed it all out tho. I'll stick with 405 and just keep ontop of the maintenance. Slippy slope chasing numbers haha. How's yours coming along? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  10. shared a video with you from the Flickr app! Take a look: https://www.flickr.com/gp/37311870@N08/36qN40 Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  11. Final map today :teeth:The injectors didn't play ball and the fueling chart was all back to front but Chris worked his magic and got it sorted eventually and put up with my 101 questions 20170605_125715.mp4 Happy with the numbers, We compared it to other supercharged zeds with the smaller pulleys running higher boost and my final numbers wasn't far off but i'm not going to chase those extra few bhp as i'm sure wbhp405 is plenty and hopefully safe & reliable enough. <iframe width="800" height="450" src="https://www.dropshot....mp4"></iframe> It's not stopped raining since getting it back so not had a chance to give it a good blast.Just a few bits and bobs to tidy up now, new sump has been ordered, the bearings on the idler pulleys to replace, washer bottle to ditch & paint work tidy up *gave up with photobucket but can't seem to get a website that will let me upload my video
  12. Colours cracking The green donor car used to belong to a member on here, the unique suspension colouring gives it away Curious as to why the angle on the rear pate?
  13. I had looked at that but I like the wide style as it means I dont loose any ground clearance. Not that I'm lowered much but we have bucket loads of speed bumps up here 😡 Can't use a spacer as my standard sump bent a bit coming off and I'd be back to less ground clearance. 14. That explains why I can't find any for sale then. I did think about getting it welded but this will be the 3rd time I'll have had it off and not sure about the previous owner and it's brutal to separate from the block so getting worried about introducing warping or more hairline cracks. For peace of mind I'd rather just get a new one. Found a aps replica which is what's currently fitted on eBay so might just go with that. All I'd need to do is make up a thicker plate for one of the turbo plates and tap it out to suit the temp sensor. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  15. Could it be that it's designed to allow a constant flow but keep it restricted until it's up to temp then it will give full flow? Strip it out and check? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk

    APS oil sump

My high capacity oil sump has a hairline crack so on the look out for a new one. Quite fancy the APS one as its a similar design so would allow me to keep my oil temp sensor set up similar. Just struggling to find any uk suppliers to get an idea of price. http://www.airpowersystems.com/350z/sump/sump.htm this is the one i'm after if the price is right.
  17. 1 step forward 2 back today. Fresh new 10-50 oil changed in. Old oil had only done 300miles 😂 Although the pressure still reads low the temperature seems steadier when pressing on. I'm happy enough and will keep an eye on it. Found the culprit to the spurious oil weep! Hairline crack in the sump 😠patched up for now but still weeping when warm so will need to keep an eye on this. Time to source a new sump The rest of the jobs are on hold due to making the most of the weather and doing up the garden. No rush for them anyway. Bummer but Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  18. That makes sense, ...tbh I didn't miss my headlight washers once they'd gone/bottle removed anyway so I doubt you will either. As I said Jez and Craig at Horsham did mine so hopefully they can help. Good luck. Jez doesn't know how it was done so will just find out when it comes to doing it
  19. I went for a eBay special android unit. Just a lazy man's tablet install. It's nothing special but does the job. I've ran cables into the cubby with usb & phone charger from it. Hindsight id have went the extra mile and done a tablet install Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  20. Won the works one aswel quids in ££ 😎 Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  21. Plenty stop/start to Aberdeen so come up and show her off for me Haha could be a shout if I can get the oil leak sorted. When you due back offshore? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk No idea yet...probs my no time soon. Only done about 2 weeks this year í ½í¸• Man that's not good, I thought things would pick up with it being shut down season
  22. Yeh I read that's what Sam had done but i'm going to get the front bumper resprayed again at the end of this year so planned on smoothing out the washer holes for a smoother front end. Good shout i'll drop him a message There is plenty of boosted zeds these days so though someone must have went down this route before.

  24. Could do as a last resort but I'd like to keep it tidy and make a plug up for it. Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  25. Clean sheet for the mot Got the car back now, so many new noises to get used to as normal! Single mass light weight fly wheel sounds more chattery than youtube videos showed hopefully will quieten down a bit when bedded in but does make a big difference at revs climbing / falling. I'll need to work on my rev matching for smoother changes as i'm a bit jumpy with it just now until i've re calibrated my footwork. A lot of steady hissing when cruising at a steady speed and an addictive woosh when you come off heavy throttle, can't wait till its not restricted to get the full effect of this. I'll need to do an oil change as the oil pressure is far too low with the 5-30 oil, so thats been ordered up. Annoying as i'd just spent £100 on the 10liters of 5-30 but my fault as I prob read that it needed thicker oil and just forgot. Went to wash the car today and noticed a oil stain on the drive, quick look and it would seem that pesky oil leak is back on the sump so will have a look at this again! Need to remove the passenger side washer bottle and sort the intercooler pipework now I'v got an mot. I'll whip off the idler pulleys and get the bearing numbers from them so these can be ordered up. one of the 3 seems to have a lot of play like a spacer is missing or its mounted the wrong way so will need to address this. Other than these minor issues I'll just need to try and rack up as many stop start miles as possible so I can get her back in for the final tune.
