  1. Yes. And as a "motoring enthusiast" you will be "thrilled" from the first moment you drive it
  2. What's with that quote.............. I am thrilled to receive my super 370Z GT Roadster and cannot wait to get behind the wheel. I am a huge motoring enthusiast and I loved the model from the moment I first drove itâ€. He sounds like a BBC announcer from the 1950s.
  3. Thanks Steve. I will pass on the basis that they apparently don't do much to deflect stone chips from the sills, which was my main reason for considering them
  4. I have always run on 97 (as it's available in several nearby petrol stations) on the assumption that the missing "1" is unlikely to make any difference.
  5. Nice to see I'm not the only one on here who doesn't immediately think "kill".
  6. Against all the odds I've managed 6 months without kerbing my current Z's alloys, but I did it quite a bit in the last one. I used several mobile refurbishers. They ranged from quite cheap (£50) per wheel (and pretty awful) to more expensive but quite good (Wicked Wheels). Last time I had one done by Wicked Wheels it was £100, but they did a good job.
  7. Cheers Colin - in that case I'll probably give them a miss. Liking those sills!
  8. Cheers Colin - can you remember which supplier you got them from?
  9. Sorry to resurrect such an old thread but having noticed how badly my sills are getting "stoned" I'm quite interested in a set of these. Most of the sites selling them don't seem to offer the option to choose a colour though, which is quite confusing.....would I have to get them painted? And are they easy to fit? Thanks
  10. Looks very good in red. Definitely recommend a new exhaust to bring the sound to life
  11. Just a personal opinion but I think the black edition has the edge on looks. Red interior and calipers really add to the look of the car.
  12. Hi and welcome to the forum. You will find people are very helpful and friendly on here. Being from the "I like to drive them but I don't know how they work" brigade, I've had a ton of useful advice from folks on here. Just out of interest what does "n/s/f damaged" mean?
  13. I will definitely be up for reading that Will. I'm keen on the Berks after hearing your video. I'll need to think again if there's a potential issue with the combo.
  14. Think we need to wait for Tom at TGM to work his magic and find out what the issue is with Rosie because a lot of people in the states seem to have the Stillen / Berks combo with no issues. Could it be an issue that for some reason just happens with the Roadster? Will I got my Stillen from Tarmac in December. I also don't have those holes. Don't think it's an issue tbh
  15. Shame you had such a bad experience. When we traded in our previous 370 for our current one I was really surprised that the dealer didn't even ask about earnings - perhaps because we'd financed one previously. Having spoken to one dealer, I think the problem with some places is that they get a lot of people who just want a test drive with no intention of buying, which can make then overly cautious. I guess the way to look at it is if they were rude to you they didn't deserve your custom!
  16. Errrr it was worse for the animals that it was for your cars! I don't mind admitting that I've twice stopped my Z (when it was safe to do so) on rural roads to shepherd young rabbits out of the road in the hope that they don't get run over by other drivers. I reckon animals get a seriously bad deal from us humans, so I like to do my bit for them when I can. NOTE: I AM NOT AN ANIMAL RIGHTS ACTIVIST OR SANDAL WEARING HIPPIE
  17. Just a personal thing - I'm not a huge fan of the "wrapped" look - but I think you've done a very professional job .
  18. TGM seem to be legends in the Honda world and it looks like their rep is growing amongst Z owners. It goes to show that first appearances can be deceptive - their premises is not as flashy as some, but their work is first rate.
  19. Very nice! Not just get the Stillen (other brands available!) and you're sorted.
  20. I think its Quartz Yup. Red callipers = 40th Edition so it Quartz Thanks guys. Also another example of great info from folks on this site. Yep - a 40th anniversary in "Quartz". I had read on a US site that the paint was difficult to match so I was relieved when it turned out to be such a great job. I've looked at all angles and in very bright light - can't see the repair for the life of me.
  21. Thanks - be really interested to hear about it. I had a problem with rattle from my Stillen a while back - turned out to be vibrating a part of the heat shield. Seemed to go away when Tom removed the offending bit of the shield (which he reckoned wasn't doing anything useful anyway). Look forward to seeing the write-up. I'm very close to getting the Berks but my one worry is increased vibration problems.
  22. Thanks Colin - You get a for recommending them to me in the first place for my Stillen. Top outfit.
  23. Don't think it was mine Will if you went yesterday, as I picked up on Tuesday. Funny though - I asked Tom about getting some Berks fitted having seen your vid and he mentioned someone who had the Stillen/Berks combo was coming in due to an issue with a rattle/vibration - I guessed that might be you. What was the issue and did you get it sorted? I am seriously considering the Berks now so be good to know.
  24. Thanks - advice from you and others was a huge help!
