  1. Each to their own. It's all personal taste. Nobody is right or wrong. Are you sure? Holy crap. Getting run over would be bad enough - getting buggered at the same time would add insult to injury.
  2. Spotted a gunmetal grey 350, reg ending in YBT, in Portsmouth this morning. The Zed was looking good as it pulled into the Esso petrol station on Copnor road in Portsmouth at 11:15AM. Unfortunately I was in my 'shopping car' at the time.
  3. That's so cool. Reminds me of the days I flew an F16* * in my head
  4. http://www.trucknutz.com/ Shame they don't come in black.
  5. That is a rough experience you've had there. I didn't realise that insurance companies put the onus on drivers to look after cyclists so much. I'm sure if cyclists had insurance and NCBs to look after that would be a bit different! If I may say so, the only problem is with lumping together all cyclists in one group to hate them. We all know there are good and bad drivers, likewise there are good and bad cyclists. People in my office seem to 'hate all cyclists' because one cut in front of them once. The vast majority of cyclists are concerned for their own safety and hence don't do things as stupid as bombing over roundabouts at night wearing dark clothing. You don't have to love safe cyclists, but surely they aren't worthy of hate?
  6. I like very much! Maybe this would be of use? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/stop-light-and-directional-indicator-cycles-bikes-/120737741118?pt=UK_SportsLeisure_Cycling_Bike_Lights&hash=item1c1c87b93e I don't ride in traffic these days, but would definitely get kitted up with something like this if I did.
  7. As someone who has been an avid cyclist - and still enjoys a pedal - I think that having been a cyclist makes you a better and more considered driver, and having been a driver makes you a better cyclist. These debates come up at work sometimes and there are always a few who say cyclists are scum and deserve to be knocked off. Frankly those people are idiots. Likewise cyclists who bomb around like they are invulnerable and not burdened by the same rules as drivers are idiots. The rules are there for their safety and those of other road users. Of course we all break the odd rule every now and then, but running red lights is pretty dumb. Round my way there's a new game with the kids on bikes and mopeds race from one side road to another opposite crossing a main road without checking for traffic. I sure hope it isn't my lovely Zed that gets dented in when Darwin catches up with one of these f*@kwits.
  8. Cheers! Shame I'm not on commission...
  9. Cheers! I have a lot of ideas about what I'd like to achieve.... I'm going to concentrate on cosmetic mods at first and maybe move on to performance later. Next on the list is some subtle tinting for the windows and a spoiler - probably Nismo type 1. Skinto for a couple of months, but in the meantime I might swap the Nissan badges out for all black ones.
  10. I got my aerial sorted out now. You guys gave me some good suggestions, but I thought I'd give an ebay cheapie a try first. The aerial I went for is this one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160601911181&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT Total cost was £4.84 including postage, I bought it on Sunday and it arrived today. Here it is installed: Opinions may differ but I think it looks really good, and importantly for me, wont be easily bent and yanked by any passing vandals. I've tested the reception and it's better than with the standard aerial, really clear. Just one question - does this officially count as my first modification?
  11. I hate to say it, but have you tried turning the phone off and on again? If you're like me you don't ever need to turn your phone off, but they do benefit from it maybe once a month or so. Gotta be worth a try!
  12. Have you tried Admiral? I'm with them and am paying around £400 (37 years old, 7 years no claims). I've seen a lot of other people on this forum saying they got a good deal from Admiral too.
  13. Love 'em! Top tip - keep some around for when you have a cold, they really clear the sinuses!
  14. Congratulations to Jensen. Superb performance.

  16. Didn't look like too much damage, maybe only Cat C
  17. The guy's been hacked surely? Someone's got into his account and is having a laugh. He looks like a run-of-the-mill ebayer from his regular items.
  18. I read about a study carried out at Oxford Uni which claimed mixing up all the letters in a word apart from the first and last actually made for quicker reading speeds! The brain is a mysterious thing...
  19. The link below was sent to me by a good friend. OK, not everybody is correct all the time with their spelling and grammar, and that's fine, but there are some superb examples of ignorance and aggressive correction in the thread. Enjoy! http://www.someecards.com/2011/04/06/th ... n-facebook
  20. Cheers DD, would be good to see your photo before I purchase anything. Possibly dumb question - will any aerial fit the 350Z? Hassan recommended a Honda aerial and you're waiting on one for a Mini. I'd assumed that these things would be quite specific to a model or at least a manufacturer.
  21. Hi. Standard aerials tend to have a short lifespan in the area where I live, so I've got to replace it with a stubby one. I'm after a black aerial and as stubby as possible. Ebay of course has the usual selection at prices from £4 and up, but I have no idea about their quality. Does anyone have experience of budget ebay aerials, or know of a better alternative? Cheers!
