  1. Thanks for that. Better performance and better price, could be onto a winner there!
  2. Hi. I've got my 350Z ('07)in the garage at the moment for an overheating problem, apparently it needs a new radiator fan. I'm told Nissan want £600+ for a genuine part. Anyone have any ideas for where to get it cheaper, or an OEM part which is up to the job? Thanks, Simon.
  3. Find something that eats spiders, then put said creature inside your wing mirror.

    New Jag!

    That's a mighty purty vehicle.
  5. If you fancy a decent read on the Kindle I can thoroughly recommend the novella The Last Best Day http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Last-Best-Day-ebook/dp/B004LLIE8Y/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1315337817&sr=8-7 It's one I wrote and published a few months ago. A little rough around the edges in places, but some people have told me it's a good read. Please excuse my blatant advertising, but what the hell eh?
  6. In the 'experimental' section you've got some useful features like an internet browser and text to speech. The internet browser is basic, but OK for emergencies and free to use even on the 3G network. Text to speech is reasonable enough to be of real use, I use a radio transmitter so I can have my Kindle read to me through my Zed's stereo on longer journeys.
  7. Excellent stuff, love it! That got passed round the office and wasted a few person days
  8. Sounds like DTE is very conservative then, which is a good thing. But I'll keep that tank healthily topped up in future.
  9. OK, I'm feeling confident I'll get home now, as long as some selfish sod doesn't have an accident and block the A27 on the way home Thanks for the advice re. the bag filter. I've often heard people mention about the crap in the bottom of the tank getting sucked up when running on fumes, but wasn't sure if that was a myth or not. I'll treat her to a full tank of 99 as soon as I get back today.
  10. If I find out exactly how accurate it is I'll be sure to post it! If it's inaccurate in the direction of there being more fuel in the tank then that'll work well for me on my drive home tonight...
  11. While driving to work this morning my DTE warning came up on the multi function gauge. I pulled in to fill up when I realised I'd left my wallet at home - thankfully I noticed before I filled up! My drive back is around 17 miles and my DTE is reading 32 miles. If that number is accurate I've got nothing to worry about. So my question is - how accurate in people's experience is the DTE reading?
  12. I just caught up with the old threads of your previous problems - I'm new here. Sounds traumatic to say the least! You deserve a decent dose of Zed luck and I hope you get it when you pick up your new toy tonight.
  13. I don't know the numbers, but surely it must be quite a small percentage. I'd guesstimate around 0.1% at the most. My take on the root of the problem is that too much is given too easily, that is the people rioting haven't ever had to work for anything they've got. I say 'rioters', it's not right to lump them all together. There are those who want to do random violent acts - I won't pretend to know why because my thinking is too far divorced from such people. And then there are the majority of rioters who want some free loot and think this is their chance to get away with it. Most of us like to get something for nothing, but the difference between us decent people and the rioters is that we don't think it's OK to disadvantage other people in order to get that something. One thing I can imagine is frustrating - though I in no way think this is a valid mitigating factor - is growing up in a society where you know the chances open to you are always going to be limited. I've always had the chance and motivation to work harder if I want to do better in life. In the meantime, I wish the police would grow some teeth and deal with this unacceptable behaviour. I'm not singling your words out in particular Ozz, I just wanted to stick my oar into the debate!
  14. The groovy bonnet bulge is worth a few quid in my opinion.
  15. Spotted a lovely azure blue 350 parked up at the West Dean Chili Fiesta on Friday (5th), reg. **** XZY (I think). Didn't see a club sticker and couldn't flier as my fliers are in my Zed and I was shedding it due to bringing the folks with me. Hope you had as good a time there as I did, weather was great as was the curry goat!
  16. You use a hose to connect the pressure washer to a water source so just get the correct hose connection for your tap B&Q have loads! Cheers Tom!
  17. Can this pressure washer - or other washers - be used with an indoors tap attachement like you can with hosepipes? I don't have an outside tap at the moment and would like to get in with the pressure washing action too.
  18. I would like to take this opportunity to formally register my dislike for the term 'glamping' Camping rocks
  19. An old friend of mine used to hate centre lane drivers so much.... He would overtake them, then pull over to the inside lane, slow down and let the centre lane driver overtake him. Then when he had been passed he would pull out to the outside lane and overtake the centre lane driver again and repeat the process. He would circle the driver in that way as many times as it took before they got the message
  20. School holidays are here. Be prepared for japes and trolling....
  21. This is really sh*t news. I've only just got back into F1 last year after a few years away from it (the Schumacher domination turned me right off) and have been loving it. I already pay far too much for my Virgin TV package each month and as F1 is the only sport I really watch am not going to buy the sports package just for that. The BBC is F1 to me, I don't want to watch it on any other channel. I suppose I'll watch the half of the races they broadcast, but I won't enjoy the season even a quarter as much.
  22. For real. He was an ex police pursuit driving instructor. He said I should know how it felt to drive above the speed limit as well as at it.
  23. Even better, you have a yearly test which determines how much insurance you actually pay... I LOVE that idea!! I surprised myself tbh, but makes perfect sense, good drivers pay less, people who cant be bothered or dont care pay more. How many people still drive the way they were taught in lessons or during a test? My instructor let me drive at 100MPH in my motorway lesson
  24. It may be depressing but if you have to shop at lidl etc to afford your zed, you can't afford your zed. Cut out luxuries such as booze smoking sky tv etc, but to start cutting down the food bill (unless you blowing £1000 a month at Waitrose every month) is a step too far in my opinion. A car is just a car, no matter what car it is. Don't knock Lidl - it's my supermarket of choice! They have the finest sausages this side of the Rhine!
