    Clean Z!

gave her a quick 20 min clean and thought I would post up a snap!! Clean! by Winkj, on Flickr
  2. thanks for the quick replies. I will be more specific. I want to remove the external black plastics - wheel arch trim, front and rear bumper plastic trim and front grille. they are all the black satin that you see on everyday cars, normally a strip across your door to stop people mashing up your door with theirs! (wish my z had one or i wouldn't now have a dent ) I have found the following link, granted I know its basic but is this the standard process without investing a lot of cash? http://www.pugaddicts.co.uk/2012/06/complete-guide-to-painting-plastic-car.html
  3. Keyser, does the zedshed do modern mini painting! I will reply when I get back to a laptop! Just didn't want you to think I was being short in my OP!!
  4. Hi Guys, looking for some advice again. I am a novice when it comes to painting/spraying. My worse half has asked for me to colour code the black pastics on her mini to match the yellow paint. it is the typical black wheel arch plastic. How much of a job will this be to do for a beginner? Cheers Guys!

    Mini One Wheels

guys, not sure if this is ok to be posted here or sound be in off topic discussion, please don't shout. I am looking for some 16"/17" wheels for my worse halfs yellow mini one. Open to suggestions (within reason) , can be after-market. please let me know if you have any for sale!
  8. yep but not following it exactly... just need to be sure not to have wide op throttle before 400 miles, also dont lug the bike and should be fine.
  9. Cheers dblock, that's an opinion I Seem to be getting, people who don't necessarily like bikes appreciate it for its looks. So far it's a cracking bike to look at and ride. Great friend for my z! But I must say, matt black is a really pain in the arse to keep mark free!

    Pilot super sports

Finally had my front two reo50as replaced so I have a full set of pilot super sports...... They are amazing and would suggest them to anyone. Still shocked at the change the front two have already made to my cars handling and grip!
  13. never actually thought of that! - hopefully I wont have to call them again any time soon... unless it is for a claim! haha
  14. thanks for the nice comments everyone, its appreciated! if anyone is ever in wallingford then be sure to pop by and see the Z and my new toy!
  15. 1k? My R1 only costs me £60 a year to insure!!!! Lovely bike though. Bet your neighbours will love you with those open pipes. the row of houses are mainly for the elderly so they actually love it! but i do walk it out a bit before i start it up ... i thought my z was loud!
  16. im sorry but the picture of that mouse trap in the footwell is far tooooooo funny!
  17. Took it easy for the first 50 to get the tyres bedded in, still going to cruise along until its run in properly. Insurance was bit of a pain to be honest, ended up going with the cheapest - hastings. HOWEVER! i would suggest that others not be fooled by their cheap prices as every time I called, I was on hold, first time for around 20 minutes, 2nd for over 45, and 3rd for around 40. therefore I have determined they must make up the difference in price reduction on their premium phone lines! I got it for 1k in the end so I was happy with that at my age/1st bike and all. thanks for your help and suggestions
  18. Well after months of saving etc it finally arrived. to those of you who said not to buy a new bike for my first bike..... I am sorry took her out for her very first 50 miles yesterday and she rides like a charm! photo (7) by Winkj, on Flickr photo (6) by Winkj, on Flickr image (12) by Winkj, on Flickr image (11) by Winkj, on Flickr image (6) by Winkj, on Flickr image (5) by Winkj, on Flickr image (4) by Winkj, on Flickr HD3 by Winkj, on Flickr HD2 by Winkj, on Flickr HD1 by Winkj, on Flickr not great pics yet. hopefully will get some in the 20degrees sunshine this weekend!
  19. if I wanted to buy a cheap bike and ride it for 2 years.. I would. If I want to buy an expensive bike for my first bike and end up dropping it, I will learn the hard way... if thats the case, then I will have to pay to fix it.. all about what I think the risk/reward is.
  20. 3rd party, fire and theft? brings it down to 300ish,. . . suggestions welcome!
  21. cheers guys - wanted to lock it as I thought I had as much info as i needed. clearly not! thanks guys!!!
  22. Interesting point - I am adding on some screeming eagle stuff. new intakes (hypercharger), new pipes, upgraded ECU, but the insurance company I just rang (Devitt) said that this is not classed as a modification as its an 'optional extra' from HD... is this your view mate?
