  1. Wow Bry.. thats biblical. At least you are on acreage well away from the forest. We are in Beerwah and smelt/saw smoke when Bribie island caught fire, but nothing like that ! We do have a bit of a concern about the bush across the road from the house (where the mozzies and snakes live) when its hot and windy though. Our house has 3 hose pipe taps.. apparently exit plans, clearing leaf litter and soaking the house is a thing. Oz life is hilareous
  2. Thanks Bry, I’ll do that. The waiting period for 820/801 whilst on a BVA is a long (and expensive) one by the looks of it. Hope you aren’t affected by the fires down there!
  3. Haha cheers Gareth, yes I’m liking Australia more and more and when impulsive detours on the way back from Bunnings (like B&Q) result in drives on forest tracks or trips to the beach (32C heat and 28C water) I know we are on the right track After the eventual big tie up here, just got to sort out a proper ‘partner’ visa and then try and get a job over there when I go back one way.. which is no picnic unfortunately as I’m over 45 which is the limit of normal work visa. Could be strawberry picking for a couple of years ..actually I shouldn’t joke
  4. Haha - thanks mate. Yes it has been a very long and expensive process ! We are on the home straight now as my job finished, nearly finished house renovation, cats shipped, household stuff shipped, waited sadly for the geriatric dog to reach a state where he had had his time (16 1/2 years) all last year, interspersed with 5 months in Oz. Means £24 grand from savings spent so far so the big item sell off has properly started now. Hopefully Brexit won’t trash the housing market or exchange rate too much
  5. Brexit? Whats that - I am a remainer but will be exiting Britain myself for real this time. Austrialia will be a certainty now, and I spent 5 out of 12 months in the last year trying it out over there... which brings me to my new old car project.. Precious II ! (Keeping it) Nissan VQ but this time its VQ40DE, R51 Pathfinder Ti MY 2005 with lushious black ducoat. I bought her in December and she’s awesome! We’ve already been Brisbane to Sydney roadtrip, and been forest trailing a few times. You can’t go fast in Queensland and the road surfaces are dreadful, so a replacement zed wasn’t really a sensible idea. SUV wagon with ladder frame chassis with great offroad/beach chops is definitely the way forward Already had fun buying presents such as custom offroad bash plates (underbody armour plating), installing my Pioneer, and fixing odds and ends such as the aircon draining into the carpet issue Fortunately she’s already had the radiator bypass with a huge tranny cooler. Commuting to Australia 3 times a year has been killing me a bit financially. Also this means that Precious 1 will need to find a new home. She has been SORN’d and garaged over the winter and I am waiting for 1 month before MOT day to come around then I can MOT, before putting the for sale ad up on here... will be a sad day.

  8. The OBD reader you want for a JDM ECM (assuming you stick with it - which would be my choice) is an OBDMATE OM500. These are available from Amazon and eBay (sales links show up in searches and they are easy to buy). JDM ECM use JOBD protocol, which the OM500 is fully compatible with to allow reading and resetting of codes.
  9. Sold Juuuuussst fitted to the very last cm in the back of the SUV (out of the box).. drive carefully chaps!
  10. PM’d back again. OK I’ll bite - I’m over a barrel - you are getting a great bargain at *that* price
  11. Pm’d back. Admin: Site email notifications still aren’t working for some of us it seems (there was a thread the other day).
  12. I have a stainless Fujitsubo Legalis R system (upgraded with with Fast Intention HFC and Stillen Y pipe) and can verify that there is absolutely NO bumper burning going on! Mine is supercharged too. I have the slant cut big tail pipes. Burning sounds like a myth* to me Don’t worry about it * perhaps somebody on the net had a bad pops and bangs tune with decats etc so created fire, then conflated melting stories with the Legalis R?
  13. Final price reduction before it goes back into back of garage storage until next year.. £180 collected What say you?
  14. Haha.. Unused and in as new condition. Go on, I really need the storage space.. grab a bargain.. £200 collected
  15. Boing This is still available It’s had a few nibbles, but for various reasons hungry fishes seem to have slipped off the hook. Please be aware that this is a big item, so arranging courier is tricky, meaning it’s collection only - fine if you have access to a van, ute or large car.
  16. Eibach ARBs work well on 350Z’s
  17. Hey Andy, this is great Awesome re-purposing of fire extinguishers ..and of course use of Arduino.
  18. Sorry mate, but I think UK-Ireland is too far, too risky, too costly. I've heard of shipping horror stories in the past (and 188cm is a very long box). Good luck with your search
  19. I would +1 Japex too for anyone in Herts, Beds, Bucks
  20. Nismo V2 replica FRP front bumper Complete with carbon fibre canards (allegedly worth ~£100 on their own), plus hexagon grill mesh. Un-painted, un-primed. Stored in original wrapping and as new with only storage scuffs - bought but never fitted due to genuine reasons. Originally from Tarmac Sportz’ limited production run. Reduced £180 collection only from Wendover due to size. I accept and prefer PayPal. Low price as clear out needed. Packed in giant box 188 x 80 x 60 cms - but should fit in a large estate. Plenty more photos available on request. Chris
