  1. I wonder what happened to the guy at the cross junction?
  2. Not wishing to overly labour this, but I got this sent to me recently, and it very graphically shows the surreal and calmly terrifying way this disaster hit the people of Japan http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQqmp9OOE1E Appologuise if you has seen it before I fear I may have screwed up the link http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=IQqmp9OOE1E&vq=medium
  3. Ha tidy boiler All is now clear
  4. That's not possible Toby. 313 models came in with the MY07 model Yes, and it was also described as a roadster too! Just pointing out the value of Yoko's car in comparison This one is a POS in comparison!!
  5. So when I read "wanted alternative cubby hole" I thought it was a euphemism for something else Sorry please continue
  6. das ist sehr nett danke für die pics My Teutonic likings aside, let me know if you need anything from an MB dealer, I used to work for Leeds MB and still have friends in low and high places there
  7. Buy that car from Yoko its for nothing Example: there is a 116k mile 313 55 plate on the web for £6491 and it's now where near as nice a car (you dont need to be a genius to know how I know) You would pay the money for the "come back" element but knowing how these cars are maintained, it will mitigate any losses on the age and mileage! Hpi it and get it inspected for your own piece of mind, but get it - it's a cheap, nice looking car
  8. Hi out if hospital but still away from work Pm me the reg and mileage and I will what I can do remotely
  9. Your dead right mate (pardon the pun) I too have a massive issue with the elderly on the roads, I to have witness so terrifying driving. Above all the lack of speed joining motorways at thirty miles an hour, pulling out on you without looking (much more fun on a bike I can tell you!) Speaking as a former car salesman the test drives where absolutely frightening in a strange car to them. I have actully had to stop the car and tell them to get out! Not a deal breaker but at least not a neck breaker
  10. Here's a clue the first driving tests where introduced in the early thirties which means if you had a car before that date you never had to take a test. My grandfather being a point of fact! I took my driving test in 1990 and passed after just five lessons. Sounds great, but no therory test or hazard perseption test. In more recent years I took my heavy bike test with all the new inclusions. Although I am please I passed first time, it was much harder and I have to say feel I think it made me a better driver too. The point is I think we have the infrastructure to retest the elderly as they generally can go for check ups at the doctors, why not also include a re test after retirement age too. As mentioned above the roads where a different place just twenty years ago when I passed, so imagine how different they must be from the last 50 to 70 years ago. I personly belive that it's not a question of age just responsibility as I think that how the courts would see it if this old guy had killed someone

  12. Call the garage first thing in the morning and tell them about your difficulties. Then get the car to them ASAP. If they are worth their salt they will be as keen to the car back as you Good luck

  20. I would tend to aggree, the trouble with Cat D's is that you just dont know. Its all guess work, and a lot of money to throw at a "Bargin" In my experiance there is no such thing as a free lunch. Plus if it was that greater a fix job, within such a short period of time why is he/she selling it?? I have also done a bit of home work on the price too for you, I have e-mailed you a copy of the PDSN report (electronic black Cap guide) and the rule of thumb for us, is you take the trade price and half it for a CAT D - Makes interseting reading
  21. Thats on your e-mail now Good luck Back over the net!
