  1. I've had 2 astra vxr's and i cant really fault them. If your thinking about tunning then stage 2 or 3 is a waste of money unless you shell out £1000 for a LSD. Now that the new astra vxr is on sale (looks awesome) you can pick up a low mile 2007 for your money.

    BMW123d v 350z

I only bought the 123d as they had stopped making the 130i the year before, therefore the 123d M sport was top of the range for performance and trim. Should have bought a used 130i as i only do around 4000 miles a year.

New they seem silly money and depreciate rapidly. Id be looking at one a few years old and probably the coupe. Are they that bad? Twin turbo, 0-60 in less than 7 seconds and 60mpg all sound good to me. I maybe weird, but i dont mind diesels. Best I could manage was 38 mpg.I took it back to bmw and they said the low mpg was due to it being brand new and winter time. They told me I would get better mpg when the car had some milage on it Also i've never damaged a clutch in the 20 years i've been driving, but I had to get clutch replaced at 1500 miles as it had started shuddering when pulling away in 1st gear. I burn't clutch out trying to get my dog home from the vets after an operation after the really bad snow fall in dec 2009.
  4. I agree i thought i had bought it last night via pm and phone call Price was agreed and all i had to do was sort out delivery. Even contacted paul who originally sold it to find out who was the best courier to use. logged on today to find out it was still for sale but for more than we agreed last night.
  5. To expensive for me then mate. I'd rather buy new at that price. Good luck.

    BMW123d v 350z

i bought a brand new bmw 123d m sport in nov 2009. it was a 3 door hatch back in white. nice driving position but thats about it! Probably the biggest waste of my money ever. only kept it for 4 months and done 2000 miles.
  7. PMSL Stew I'll get no sympathy as I was supposed to be at work, instead of messing about with the Zed. I'll have a couple of days rest I think and i'll be as good as new.
  8. Good idea mate, hope I dont get it round the wrong way ice on the back and the deep heat on the nuts. Ive got a 6 inch bruise from my right ball to my hip bone. I'll have to explain that one to the wife!
  9. As it was a nice day today I thought I would get the Zed out the garage and give it a once over and a quick detail. I thought I would start by checking the oil level etc. As it was a bit dark in the garage I thought I would take it onto the driveway to check it. As I wanted to dip the oil when the car was cold I decided not to start it up, so i decided to push it out. Car was facing into garage, so I decided to open the drivers door, let the hand brake off and PULL it out leaning onto the center post. I forgot I had a 3 inch ramp going into my garage, so when the back wheels reached it, the car just picked up speed. I couldnt get out the way before I got caught between the edge of the drivers door and the door frame of my garage I took the full inpact mostly on my groin and abs. My back is also really badly bruised. Cant beleive how stupid I was. I'm to embarassed to tell anyone to there face, but i'm in agony
  10. Triathalon, now thats what I call a sport, especially the ironman events. I'm really only happy when I'm wearing a gumshield
  11. As I said before one pup couldn't care less, she would sit and watch them. The other is a total wreck. Just like humans I suppose, everyone is different.
  12. I honestly feel like going to my local corner shop and giv ing the shop owner a good slapping for selling fireworks in the first place. Im not a violent guy, but if you seen the state my pups in you would agree
  13. I've got 2 small dogs (lhaso apso's). Both are just over 2 years old. One of them could not care less when fireworks go off, but the other is a total nervious wreck every time one goes off. I contacted my vet who told me I should have installed plug in diffusers which release chemicals into the air that have a calming effect on pets, a month ago. As I'm to late to op for that option my vet said I will have to sedate my dog on fireworks night. Problem is that the local arseholes are setting fireworks off all day and night. I've tried everything I can think of to calm my wee dog down but nothing works. I honestly think she's going to have a heart attack as she is rattling from head to toe. If a firework goes off during the night I end up getting no sleep as she is in bits all night and cant settle. If only they knew how much suffering they were causing when lighting fireworks they would hopefully think twice.
  14. Best thing i ever done was get rid of my 10.5 kw electric shower and had a mixer shower feed from my combi boiler installed. Amazing pressure as my boiler is up stairs and my shower is down stairs. Also costs a fraction of the cost to run and wont need replaced every 3 years.
  15. Hi all, Just thought I would start a thread to find out what Sports and Hobbies everyone is intrested in.

    FS: RAY's!

Are the Rays sold? If not I may be intrested.
  19. No probs mate, If it had been white I would have bought it over the telephone! I am still thinking about buying it and wrapping it white and wrapping the rear bumper defuser black carbon fibre effect.
  20. They offered me £6500 for my 54 plate gunmetal GT 54000 miles perfect condition, which i know is a bit low. But I would get the brand new 370z Gt in le mans blue for £24999 on the road including tax. Said if I wanted finance they could arrange a pcp. financing £18500 would be £249 per month for 36 months then a final payment of £12800. they said they would get it wrapped if i wanted at an extra cost.
