  1. Is his a coupe mate? Reason why im asking is that ive been told they handle like totally different cars.
  2. Thinking about buying one for the wife. Anyone any experiences with them? Good or bad.
  3. Well thats me home safe and sound! I think there was a problem with a valve that pumped clean air into the cabin, think the pilot said there was an air lock in it? Thanks for all the comments!
  4. Going on holiday to Turkey today. 45 mins into flight pilot said there was a technical problem with the plane and we would have to return to Manchester. Got within 15 min of Manchester and pilot said we would have to fly around coast of England to burn up 1500kg of fuel as we were to heavy to land. Anyway after flying around with our landing gear down to increase drag and use more fuel we landed in Manchester only to find fire engines etc waiting for us to land. Still sitting on the plane after 2 hours none the wiser!
  5. Might just keep them as a winter wheel!
  6. As Neil pointed out, there's lots of really good painters in our area and most of them are very reasonable. If you want any work carried out send me a PM and i'll get you a price!
  7. There was a brand new ray alloy sold on ebay yesterday for £75!!
  8. I'm looking at buying a set of rays for my zed. I recently had my OEM wheels refurbed. They were powder coated and now look brand new. Question is, how much should i expect to sell them for?
  9. Anything from £81 to over £100.
  10. Bought a new set of mats for the Zed today. Think I got a bargain, I also think seller may have more for sale. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Nissa ... 5d315f096c
  11. Thats my mind made up full respray it is. Anyone know the paint code for the door handles?
  12. 6 of one, half a dozen of the other. Nobody is taking away pensions that have already been accrued! That's the thing. Nothing is being "taken away" from anybody. Everybody now has a choice. They either stick with the proposed arrangements or they can leave and go work in a the private sector. My understanding is that everything accrued to-date stands. I agree I for one could seek employment in the private sector, but what do all the nurses thats spent up to 4 years at university do? How many private employers employ nursing staff? As ive already said they simply have to grin and put up with it no matter how bad it gets.
  13. The point i was trying to make about nurses is that no matter how bad there employment conditions get, whether its pensions, working condition etc they wont strike even if they voted yes to do so. Most that voted yes prob did as a scare tatic. Also when i joined the NHS, like others i did so knowing that my salary would be 25% less than if i had used my qualifications and experience to gain employment in the private sector. The reason why i did this was due to the job security and pension scheme it offered.
  14. The strike is about the pensions, not the sometimes rubbish NHS management and conditions that makes (in your example) hospital staffs lives difficult. That PFI on your hospital isn't helping the country one iota either. I agree that PFI is a bad idea, but if the authorities cant afford to build new hospitals, schools etc what other options are there?
  15. Ive worked in the NHS for over 15 years. I now work in a pfi hospital for a large international company. I think its absolutely disgusting how the nursing staff have been treated over the years. Dont think that the nurses are taking the threat of strike action lightly. The nurses ive spoken to are going through hell, even thinking about striking. I really dont think most of the public know what nurses go through on an average day, it must be the most thankless job out there. Finally what makes it worse is that those in power know nurses probably wont strike no matter how much @*!# they fling at them!
  16. Get it now! Sorry was being a bit thick. Its been happening alot recently. Went out for a wee drive last week after nearly crushing myself to death. I decided to park the car and nip in for a haircut. I waited over an hour in the barbers, finally had a trim, left the barbers and walked home. Got halfway home and realised i'd left my car in the carpark. Had to walk back down and get it
  17. Thanks, any bad points. Dont want it to look like my car's been in an accident when I finally decide to sell it. I would be slightly unsure of a car that had a full respray. I'd be much more unsure of a car that had a significant partial respray (i.e whole front end) than one that had a full respray, and anyway as it's not due to any damage I wouldn't have said you'd be under any obligation to tell anyone about it when you come to sell it on. As long as the colour matches the V5 and the car looked straight, i'd see a full respray as a bonus when buying a car, especially one with crappy thin paint like the Zed. If it really is a full respray for £600, bite his hand off and go for it DB Thanks for the advice mate. I'm going to take photos of all my panels to show that ive only got some stonechips here and there. That way i can show any future buyer.

  19. My Zed is booked in next tuesday to have the front bumper, part of the bonnet and drivers side back quarter painted. Reason for this is that the bumper and bonnet have the usual stone chips and the paint on the back quarter looks a bit thin. It is a really close friend who's painting my car and his work is always awesome. Question is he only wants £260 to do the work (mate's rates), thats including machine polishing my full car afterwards. I asked him how much he would take to respray my full car out of curiosity. He replied £600! I think this is really cheap and I know his work will be faultless, but is there any disadvantages to having my full car resprayed?
