    M Series.

For family life bmw 535d m sport or insignia vxr
  2. Ive had both a bmw 123d hatchback and a 350z and im now back driving a bmw 320i m sport plus. I bought my 123d brand new in 2009 and i have to say the engine was awesome. The only reason i sold it was i didnt do the miles to justify a diesel anymore and i regreted not buying the m sport model!! I loved my zed also but the fuel costs and the depreciation costs were simply getting too much and it was always at the back of my mind that i had no warrenty on the car. But it never put a foot wrong in the year i owned it. I recently bought a brand new 320i m sport, ok its not the fastest thing in the world but i really, really like it. I can honestly say that the m port suspension and run flats ride great together, ok im no expert, but its no different from the zed or the previous 2 astra vxr's ive owned. All i can say is its all the car i will ever need. In a perfect world i would love a new 335i m sport coupe, but thats something to aim for in the future. Im glad i owned my zed, i think i traded it in at the right time but i dont really miss it anymore. Enjoy your new car mate as its probably the best diesel engine on the road! (imo).
  3. Cant really comment on anyone else's agreements, but i can buy my car after the 4 years for well under 10k. I think thats not a bad price for a car that only ive owned and has probably only done about 20 k miles!
  4. Plenty on 24 months at that sort of price. Get on http://www.contracthireandleasing.co.uk and have a look Cant see any for anywhere near that price mate.
  5. Yeah mate 48 months, but i would be able to change with no negative equity after about 36 months as i got a massive discount on list price!
  6. I bought a brand new bmw 320i m sport plus a few months ago for £339 deposit and £339 pm. After the agreed term i can hand it back, or trade it in for something else. Probably be around £2k equity.
  7. Need to contact bmw about this. 2 bar seems low for the front and 3 bar seems really high for the rear!
  8. I bought a new bmw 320i m sport plus about 6 weeks ago. Thought i would check the tyre pressures. Problem is the information sticker located in the drivers side door sill states my front tyres (225/40/18 W) should be 2.0 bar, think thats around 29 psi and the rear tyres (255/35/18 W) should be 3.0 bar think thats around 43 psi. Does anyone know if this is correct seems really hich for the rears. Big difference between front and rear!
  9. Hey Stuarty, thanks for getting in touch and telling me all this, you have not only saved me time and money but most importantly the reassurance of a looked after, well maintained Zed and for that I applaud you I do have one question tho, when I move off at slow speed whilst turning the rear of the car makes a “clinking†noise as if coins are being dropped? Is this due to the rear CV joints? Many Thanks, Tony Yeah mate defo got the notorious rear clicky axle problem. If you got a warrenty get them to change the cv joints. I cant stress how well looked after your car was by myself and the previous owner. Car was always run on tesco momentum 99 ron and also had extra oil changes. i left all mots and tax discs the car has ever had in service booklet. If you look you'll see it never failed an mot and it only had one advisory for tyres. Also all four wheels were refurbed last may by custom coatings in bellshill and still have a warrenty.

    Hello!

Hi mate, you've bought my old car. The socket on the wing was fitted by the guy i bought it from and is a charging point for a trickle charger. Theguy hardly used the car and wanted to keep the battery charged Hey! small world how I managed to purchase a car from arnold sharks that was owned by a member of this form I now have extreme peace of mind that the car was well looked after, and thanks for letting me know about the "socket" but i personally thought it was of no use to me and asked the dealer to remove it. So its all good Glad your happy with the car, all service work on the car was carried out by mark at the garage in motherwell. If i was you all i would do is an oil change as absolutely everything else was done. The engine managment light came on once, i had the code read and it was an o2 sensor, i was told it was prob due to really cold weather in jan. I had it reset and it never came back on. Only other thing is it defo has the notorious rear clicky axle problem. If its got a warrenty i would defo want the cv joints changed.
  11. You may have marred it, or semi burned the paint through not using enough fluid to keep the bar sliding across the surface. Can you post a picture please. Ive tried to take a photo mate but its not really that obvious in the photo. Ive booked it in for a machine polish on monday.
  12. Cheers neil, just wish i could have sold it privately and saved the buyer a fortune. I did advertise it on piston heads for a while.

  14. Mean't to say if you require any info about it let me know. By the way it had a full service 2000 miles before i traded it in! It had everything changed including oil, filter, diff oil, gear box oil, brake fluid, coolant system, air filter and most importantly spark plugs!! I also changed all wipers to bosch flat blades. The wheels where also refurbed by custom coatings in bellshill and still under warranty.
  15. Hi mate, you've bought my old car. I traded it in a few months ago
  16. Am i correct in saying the marring can be polished out by a pro?
  17. Cars only 5 weeks old with 400 miles.
  18. I clayed today for the first time. I used dodo juice clay bar and lube. After claying ive noticed some marring on the paint work. I then hand polished using dodo juice lime prime but it didnt remove the marring. Question is, would using auto glym srp remove the marring or do i need someone to machine polish it out? By the way i used plenty lube and i wet every panel before claing as it was a warm day!
  19. Try turning on the air con, it will smooth out the engine rattle that ocurs every few seconds. Cant comment on you clutch noise though
  20. TBH if fuel efficiency was that important to you, and you knew the Z would be thirsty in the first place, why did you buy a 3.5l V6? 21mpg is normal for urban commutes with moderate traffic to negotiate. I'm sure the beemer is good car, but it's not quite the head-turning beast the 350z is. That being said, I certainly wouldn't want to commute in one. That would be painfully expensive. Mine's a weekend toy :-) TBH mate, ive always had turbos vxr's etc. I had knee surgery so i sold my vxr and bought my wife a wee corsa to get me about as i couldnt drive. When my knee was recovered and i could drive again i thought i would have a zed. As i mentioned i knew what i was getting into, but mpg wasnt a problem as i had the corsa for everyday driving. Then my son past his test and i insured the corsa for him. As my son now thinks its his corsa i had to use the zed as my daily drive. I loved every minute of the zed and it was totally problem free. I traded both the zed and the corsa in last month and replaced them with brand new 320i m sport plus and a brand new mini cooper. Great car the zed, but as i said i was glad to see it go
  21. Ive had 2 new astra vxr's and ive drove a few corsa vxr's. I bought a new bmw last month and i was so impressed with it i bought my wife a brand new mini cooper last week. Mini is in a totally different league to the vauxhalls. Granted its not a cooper s but i got the jcw alloys fitted and it looks and drives VXR range is great when new but they soon start to show poor build quality. Best thing about the astra vxr was the keyless entry system.
  22. I bought my zed last year. When i bought it i knew how bad the mpg would be, but in the end i was getting 21 mpg everywhere. Car was fully serviced and always run on tesco momentum. I dont regret buying it but im glad to see the back of it. Now drive a brand new 320i m sport and although its a totally different car im loving it and getting 45 mpg everywhere!

    new car

I traded my 350z in last month and bought a new 320i m sport plus and im loving it. I also have a vx corsa which i traded in today and bought a new mini one with pepper pack as a second car. Im thinking about fitting carbon fibre wing miror covers to it and having the roof wrapped in black. Can anyone recommend anywhere to have this done? I live about 30 min from glasgow. http://www.arnoldclark.com/used-cars/nissan/350z/3.5-v6-gt-3-dr/2004-(54)/ref/cc_l4ph8g47rklvfle8/
