  3. Sorry dude, thought it was ok to post in "other cars", as there is alot of really knowledgeable folk on here! It is but I thought something as particular as that to a BMW would have been more likely to have been found on a beemer forum, it turns out I was wrong No probs mate. I'm not really into forums really, just a member on here

  5. Getting my new BMW tomorrow and its got a feature called ConnectedDrive. Anyone know anything about it. All i know is you can call bmw to open your car if you get locked out or check that its locked!
  6. Love the 335i mate, but its only a 320i i'm getting
  7. If they had started the work and diagnostic work, parts etc had taken longer than expected, then fair enough. But to take your car and not even start work is ripping the ****! If it a friends doing the work for mate's rates then thats also ok, but if your paying the full price, i'd go get it back.
  8. I wasted 2 weeks holidays trying to find a nice coupe. They were either well priced but rough or mint and really expensive. BMW contacted me as i phoned for a settlement figure for my saloon and asked me why i wanted to change so soon. I told them i wanted a more powerful engine and a coupe. They then called the dealer who sold me my saloon who then called me. I went to the showroom thinking i was wasting my time as i had about 1500 quid negative equity ( no bad for a brand new BMW). They said BMW was going to discount whatever i bought . So i bought the coupe and BMW knocked £8k off the list price, i told them i still couldnt afford it and they wipped off my negative equity and told me to choose some optional extra's. Happy days!
  9. My new car gets delivered tomorrow Traded my zed in against a new BMW saloon in January. Ive now traded the saloon in for a BMW coupe New car is a 62 plate, 320i sport plus coupe in alpine white. Its got 19 inch wheels, xenons, m3 boot spoiler, rear diffuser, i drive, upgraded satnav, leather with m sport logos all as standard. I also added heated seats, upgraded interior trim, and servo steer. Cant wait to get it tomorrow!
  10. My wife simply refuses to drive any of my cars, she said she would rather walk!
  11. If i dont find a zed soon, i'm thinking about trading my bmw for a 335i m sport coupe! What everyone think!
  12. Ive already mentioned this in a previous post, but i feel it needs repeated! I MISS MY ZED! Ive been trying to trade my new bmw but i cant find a zed that i like at any dealers. All the ones i like are private sales If i keep this bmw for the next year or so, it might be a 370z i buy, the way the prices are dropping!
  13. Hi Dave, Where abouts in Glasgow are you from?
  14. Good point about them being easy pickings, but Idon`t think a black sack is going to deter a thief, if the car is outside perhaps steely`s or a spare set of wheels would be a better option Yeah mate, Another set would be perfect. My car was in my drive and i didnt have a spare set of wheels. The only reason i used bags was when you walked past you could spot the big shinny brembo's a mile away
  15. I used axle stands whilst my wheels where away for refurb. No problems at all. By the way if your leaving your car outside or in a drive make sure you stick some bin bags over your brembo callipers, as they would be easy pickings for anyone who wanted them!
  16. If your doing weight training during your gym sessions, then the gym is the probably the best place for you. But if its mainly cardio training your doing then there may be better options for you other than running on a treadmill or using a cross trainer etc. I train 10 times a week at present (3 tae kwon-do sessions, 3 brazilian jiu jitsu sessions and a 4 day weight training split). My biggest problem is recovery. I do my strength and conditioning around 3pm and train TKD and BJJ at night from around 7pm. I defo recommend trying boxing, thai boxing, BJJ etc for your HIIT cardio training. You'll learn new skills, meet new friends and chances are you'll not even notice that your working your ass off as you'll be having a good time. Just my opinion, as i can never get my head around the fact that folk jump in there car, drive 2 miles to the gym then jump on a treadmill Why not just go for a run!!
  17. When and what you should eat really depends on what you want to acheive from your workout. If your simply looking to lose bodyfat its simple, eat less calories than burn everyday and you'll lose fat. But remember carbs are your bodies preferred source of energy, therefore you have to deplete all the carbs before you start burning fat. If your doing resistance training then your body requires carbs to fuel your workout, thats why its really important to do your weight training before your cardio. HIIT is the best form of cardio to burn your fat stores. If you've got an iphone or android a good app to download is my fitness pal, its free and really easy to use. Its also got a barcode scanner to help upload your nutritional info. Even if your not a serious bodybuilder protein shakes are ideal to help your tired muscles recover faster.
  18. Thanks Ekona, the contract to pay the upgrade fee was verbal between myself and orange upgrades, all phones for you did was carry out the upgrade on behalf of orange and provide me with my new phones. I paid the fee over the telephone straight to orange. My argument is that Orange offered me an early upgrade if i agreed to pay £127. I acepted and paid the fee. Weeks later Orange said they overcharged me and gave me my cash back. Now they have realised their mistake and want it back. If i bought a new 370z for an agreed price, then nissan said "sorry we have overcharged you and here's your money back" then a month later asked for that money back, you would have to question it. All i know is i was informed 4 times that i had overpayed and now 1 manager says different and wants the money back!
  19. The new contract does not mention the upgrade fee as it was in relation to the old contract, but i do have receipts to confirm that i did pay it. Orange accept that I did pay and also that I was paid it back. They also confirmed that on several occassions i was told that I should not have been charged it in the first place. But those 4 managers were wrong and they now want the payment again 1 month later. I agree that initially i did have to pay the charge, but after being reimbursed and contacting them to confirm this on several occassions, they are wrong to now expect me to pay it. I paid the contract off and it was clear, then they gave me an overpayment back now they have charged me for there mistake and billed me for it on my new contract.
  20. I'm having a dispute with Orange, my mobile phone tariff provider. I have 3 mobile phones with them on 24 months contracts. One of the mobiles got damaged (my own fault). I contacted them to see what my options were and they told me that if I paid an early upgrade fee of £127 this would pay off my exsisting contract and I could start a new 24 month contract and receive a new handset. I decided to pay the early upgrade fee for all 3 mobile phones (3x£127). I received my new handsets and i also increased my tariff's. A week later they reinbursed my bank account with the £381 that I had paid. I contacted them and they said I should not have been charged an earley upgrade fee in the first place. I asked why not as I still had over 6 months left on all 3 contracts, the advisor checked with a manager and the manager confirmed this. I contacted them again a few days later to double check and it was confirmed by 2 different managers. Today I received my bill dated 12th august and suprise, suprise they have added it to my bill. I now have a £500 bill to pay and £381 is the early upgrade fee's. I also had a 10% loyalty discount and a 10% NHS coporate discount which I was told would stay on my account as all I was doing was upgrading my handsets and as long as the telephone numbers stayed the same these discounts would apply. Finally, I upgraded at phones 4 u who have applied a £5 air time discount to each number reducing the tariff cost from £41 per month to £36 per month. This also has not been taken from my bill and when I contacted Orange regarding it, they said I should contact phones 4 u. I did and phones 4 u have all ready sent orange the air time discount payments. Sorry for the rant, but can anyone advise me what to do?
