  1. Yeh, but you drive a Vauxhall! Not anymore!
  2. 313bhp vs 300bhp is what, 4% difference? Personally I can't tell the difference between cars with 4% power increase. So that's the numbers out the way! Just go for as best an example as you can afford, a tatty battered 313 is never going to be as much a lovely car to own as a well cared for 300, you will soon forget that 4% power difference.
  3. Must admit I stole the idea, it was on another forum, hilarious reading through it!
  4. We often see people wanting a rant to get things off their chest, how about a 'rant forum' under the Off Topic Discussion forum? Maybe we could call it the 'Therapy Forum'
  5. Flame thrower! I use something from Halfords actually which is excellent, I think its called G3 Detox Shampoo.
  6. Just to update - the guy got his new V5 through in the post today after we decided to 'wait and see' - indeed London isn't full of nasty folk but in fact has some good guys who will see lost mail in the street and post it on your behalf!
  7. Lots of talk of slapping on the glazes and the like every two months, which is good, but I would really advise the use of a detox shampoo not a normal shampoo prior to that bit of work. Although waxes do wear down over time, there will still be patches of it on the car when you reapply new polish and wax, for a really well prepared even start to the two monthly wax process I detox the car so all wax is stripped and you are starting with a clean surface, normal waxes wont do that.
  8. The Gruppe M was the best induction kit I have ever bought for any car. At first I couldn't believe the prices of them but then one day I saw a second hand one in need of TLC for £350 odd on eBay. Bought it and never regretted it. Plus when I took it off my car when I was selling up I managed to get £420 for it on an auction so made a profit. Thinking of getting a Stillen induction kit for my Zed one day next year just for a bit more induction noise. Have you heard the stillen induction noise? I had one on my Zed, its more discreet than you might think and makes quite a different noise compared to your pop chargers and the like.
  9. As ever though, memorabilia is always more valuable than the product itself
  10. Its fine, most cars do this, unfortunately the answer is take it for a 5 minute drive and it will clear all the rust off - although that really is no biggie to do and surely is a good excuse to go for a
  11. Paul Walkers R34 for sale...http://suchen.mobile.de/auto-inserat/nissan-skyline-orig-fast-furious-gt-r34-driven-by-paul-walker-ismaning/172444341.html
  12. Or just a typo by someone hitting the mulled wine a bit early in december
  13. I am looking at buying a few modified cars at the moment, I literally send the for sale ad to them and let them get on with it - as Dan said, a few times, costs will vary - adding a miltek and sports cats to my Zed with Admiral cost £18, but then again I am nearly 40 living in a safe post code whilst putting 4000 miles on the car a year - would it cost a 21 year old £18 with a different insurer to do the same, who knows!
  14. Stunning, loving that, and I am not a fan of matte black...but grey really works!

    Next car?

Little bit too common for my liking, like something a bit different that stands out from the crowd. Would have considered a Mk1 Focus RS but prices are rocketing!
  16. I don't think dealers HAVE to give a warranty do they? I know on DCY Europes site they only give a 3 month warranty on cars purchased for over £4.5k so there are additional requirements to it. Like I said, when I asked this Boys Toys what their warranty offer was I got blanked, if the OP hasn't got anything in writing, not sure what he can do to enforce it?
  17. A few people in modified cars have mentioned a company called A Plan to me, worth a go?
  18. I just called them and when I asked why the background was the same and in the same location they got all funny with me!! its definitely them as I recognised the voice on the phone. The guy on the phone said he had never herd of "paul brown cars" On the Supra thread, there is comments from the Paul Brown guy who claimed that 'our account ballsed it up with companies house and we are listed as dissolved which we are sorting out' which was a year ago...
  19. Ah Boys Toys Specialist Cars, I mailed them inquiring about a car the other day (last weds I think?) and it took 3 days for them to come back with a one word answer, all in lower case, without even saying hello. I followed up with a question about 'warranties' which has been ignored.
  20. Yes I noticed the other day Paul Browns website had disappeared...doesn't bode well. I did a bit of nosing around and found some very unsavoury threads amongst some Supra owners about them... http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?275173
  21. Some good wrapping skills there...just the right time of year to brush up on those skills as well
