  1. I've bought a number of parts from Cougar Store as well, then had them fitted. I'd strongly recommend doing things that way- it really can save a lot of money.
  2. Black zed all the way, I'm afraid. But don't worry, at least you can respray yours a proper colour whenever you're ready. Welcome to the forum!
  3. Who am I kidding?! I love that show, imbeciles and all!
  4. Plus if they do concede that modified cars are legit, they need to start REVIEWING them and the show already has little time for car reviews as it is. Apparently watching three more-than-middle-aged men mucking about with caravans is more important than reviewing cars...
  5. I reckon it all depends on what you're looking for from the car doesn't it? I love the zed, but if what you're looking for is fuel economy, it's not a car that's going to float your boat is it?
  6. Welcome! I'm down in Bristol if you find yourself in need of a slightly longer drive
  7. Welcome New exhaust is essential for the 350z. The standard one really doesn't show off the V6 to its full potential.
  8. That's shocking that admiral said that to him. Utterly wrong, as above. If this chap has admitted it was entirely his fault and is fully comp, then Admiral aren't going to have much to quibble about, I guess... :unsure
  9. Wish I had seen this thread before I left! Just got back from the ring- it was excellent! My two cents are that the ring is special precisely because you get such variety turning up there. People just need to learn some driving etiquette. A safety briefing or something wouldn't hurt...
  10. My insurance this year is only £240 fully comp with Esure. I thought that was a bargain- if you've got several years' no claims, they can give you a good deal.
  11. I use a garage called FCM Motorsport. The mechanic, John, is very knowledgable about the car and always gives me a fair price on any work. I'm not super-knowledgable about the car- I just like to drive it around tracks- but FCM Motorsport definitely get my vote.
  12. Thanks guys! I bow before your God-like knowledge I'll look at the guide, have another look at the problem, and if I still can't sort it I'll post some pics and let you tell me what's wrong I'll get back to you.
  13. Well if ANYONE can sort this for me, you become my personal hero
  14. Hi all, I've REALLY tried to find the answer to this question using the search engine and google, but haven't managed to get what I need, so started a topic. My dad shut my 350 door too hard today and the handle came away from the car! Needless to say, I am distraught. The part I mean is the silvery bit that the passenger can hang on to, not the door handle, per say, just to be clear. I tried to put the thing back together, and whilst it has all slotted back into place, the handle doesn't feel solidly in place any more and comes loose again if I yank it hard. I can't find a guide anywhere how to reassemble this part of the car, so I can't figure out what's wrong with my set up. Any ideas guys? I will owe a beer to anyone who can save me the need to go to the Nissan main stealer about this, but I can't live with knowing this is wrong with the car!
  15. Just got my front, bonnet, wings and the rear of my zed resprayed at TGM. Massive recommendation from me- they've returned the car to 'as new' as far as I'm concerned. It's raining today, but I'll post some pics in the near future. Oh, and Will also glued a crack under my front bumper, touched up a couple of small marks I hadn't even noticed elsewhere on the car and gave me a new set of number plates all for free! If you're interested in cost it was £950 cash. I don't really know if that's a good price or not, but I've been using TGM for a while and they've always been completely fair with me. Good value or not, they've done an absolutely sterling job.
  16. Cheers Pete, I've got a little dent in my driver's door that's been bugging the hell out of me. Maybe I'll give him a go.
  17. +1 for TGM motorsport in Fleet. Have been using them for two years now- they always do a fantastic job for a very fair price. Just had the front and rear of my 350 resprayed by them. The car looks like new and they even threw in a couple of new number plates for free because the old ones 'looked a bit scruffy' Can't recommend them enough.
  18. Just wanted to confirm- took my Z to TGM sport on 25/11/11. They did a great job- I'm very happy and will be using them from now on. Spotted that I'd run my Brembo front pads down in just a year Tom did everything he could to save me money though- he could quite readily have put my wheels back on and charged me again in 1500 miles when the pads really would have been down to nothing.. They did forget to put my car in for its MOT until the very last minute, but I forgot my bloody locking wheel nut for half the day so I guess we're even
  19. Just wanted to add to this. I've just been on the phone with Tom at tgmsport- really friendly and knowledgable chap. I'm getting my p2 service done on my 04 350z in the next two weeks so I will certainly post my impressions to just update this thread a bit! They have quoted me £240 including the fully synth oil, which I reckon is a bargain. The service will include break fluid and coolant changes as well. Could you ask for more? Now I just have to live through those nervous few hours of waiting while the car's in the garage. I can afford the service and MOT but if there's anything wrong in there...
  20. On the plus side, you newer owners do get the 303bhp engine, unlike us lowly 286ers with older models. I happily take the power hit for 200 squid a year difference in my tax bill though!
  21. 87,000 miles and counting... Still goes beautifully
  22. That's exactly what I thought! Are Rays the lightweight alloys? If they are, I'm not too fussed about them either. I will definitely check on the services done thanks You see? This is paying off already! Do you think I've really got a shot at getting the dealer to do a service, given that I'm paying £300 less than the asking price? No harm in asking I suppose.
