As it stands now

At the moment, I am planning on keeping them green, i think the contrast will work well with the GM paint
Especially behind some gloss bacl wheels

Ive heard the Torque one is decent, can it reset errors?
Im in the market for a bluetooth OBD reader too, so many. I need one that works with an import (JOBD?). interested to see recommendations.

Very good to know. just buy whichever is cheapest at the time, thanks guys. It seems to give a good darkening effect on plastics.

Wait, they are exactly the same? Guess the codes are just for marketing? Is that true for the C5?

Great work, very satisfying i bet

@coldelThe carpet tape didn't bulk it out? I think one of the ways they get a good fit is by shaving down the leather to make it thinner, giving a more even finish on edges etc
Oh and was the piece you fitted to your VX220 was from this retailer?
Another other option is a leather vinyl wrap:

I’ve ordered a gear gaiter from them off eBay at the beginning of the month and they’re not manufacturing at the moment with the lockdown. You might be in for a wait.
They say they will be back to shipping orders on May 5th. Can you post up results when you receive and fit?

It didnt pull tight over the console and the stitching I remember left a fairly raised bump it wasn't flush. I had my seats in my second VX done by a top top guy last year (he does the seats for Bentley!) and the difference is night and day - but thats also reflected in the price!
This is definatly one of those areas where you get what you pay for, might have to buy a small skin to test. Gaiter is one thing, but the fitment of a skin over a panel will be soemthing else.
How did you fit yours on your console? im guess some kind of leather glue?

I always make sure I have a supply of Gtechniq C4/C1/C5.
Never been brave enough to do the whole car but do the wheels yearly along with plastic trims and headlights.
Your rims are so glossy I thought for a moment they had diamond cut faces!
Thanks, thats what i was going for
I dont have a garage so dont think i can do the paintwork and TBH i dont really want to , i like applying sealants/waxes and enjoying the results. Also as i like to correct scratches etc i would be forever reapplying the ceramic .
Would probably be worth doing the headlights to protect the clearcoat with C1, the Depo ones may start to peel after a while.
Where on the Z do you tend to use the C4?

So i was thinking of doing some leather trim pieces in the Zed, found the above retailer who sells tons of leather products, they seem to have leather for almost every panel in the Zed . Here
They do a leather door panel skin you can fit yourself, lots of colour options
Im thinking of just buying a leather handbrake boot to cover the existing plastic and to test them out. Was thinking tan stitching to go with the Alezan seats:
Or maybe even this?
If its good, both have matching gear gaiters
Anyway was wondering if anyone's had experience with their products or any thoughts?

@da.murfI will see what i can do mate
So after having my wheels refurbished i wanted to protect them well, enter:
Ceramic coating that offers up to 1-2 years protection.
Before i applied it i gave the wheels a very thorough clean:
They weren't particularly contaminated but still needed to be as clean as possible for best durability of the coating
Then i gave them a good polish as i was locking in the finish, used koche chemie m3.01 and a foam hand polishing pad
After applying the C5 they were left to cure:
Then the next day refitted and treated to a new pair of lug nuts, in neo chrome
It took a couple days to remove, full prep, apply and let cure. Plus i gave the arches a thorough clean and dress , nasty down there.
Very happy with how it turned out, polishing the wheels really added a lot of gloss and took away the flatness/dullness they had after the powder coating. and the C5 may also have added gloss alonside the protection. Loving the new lug nuts too, replaced the faded Rays ones.

How are you getting on with the Depo's? I have heard mixed reviews, mistake me if I'm wrong but can see condensation build up in the photos?
Ive heard some talk about condensation too. The pic was taken right after i fitted them and washed the car, and yes there was condensation. However since then there hasn't been any. Even today where i had the wheels off cleaning the arches with a jet wash (which is right behind the headlight and has loads of gaps), they are clear. So it may have been something to do with them coming out of storage and being fitted. But i will be keeping an eye on them.
The thing is they are not 100% enclosed, theres a little breather hole with a u shaped pipe and filter. Im not sure if thats on the OEM ones. Will keep thread updated on it.
@nissanman312 Cheers mate

Or just dry it!

Looking good mate. Yellow calipers or red currently?
I had a red manual with light grey interior and dash etc, very rare combo. Always considered modding it but had to choose between that and the Z.

Gonna do em yourself? @LRF4N
I personally prefer yellow or maybe even green or at least a lighter blue. Dark blue might be too subtle behind dark rims and a red car. Unless thats what youre going for, the blue is nice done get me wrong. Just looking at whats around it. Depends on if you want contrast or not
