  7. +1 with smd ive just read about it and that's what seems to be norm,im building a box to house batteries then im stuck as to what to get next, got a plug in tube light and 2 normal batteries already, just what invertors to get...so yes...help!
  8. Im looking at the same kind of thing for my newly acquired garage. Think Il build a battery bank with 2 marine/deep cycle batteries and 2 normal batteries and 2 invertors. Big batteries take care of power tools etc little batteries for light/fan and stereo. Solar panel thingy om house to charge them indoors. having read on the net i should get a months use between charges for at least lights and radio was looking at generators but noise and fumes seem an issue
  9. Plugs into obd2 port which is to the right of steering wheel by bottom dash
  10. Dont say that!! il end up ringing them asking if i can have two and knock the wall out inbetween
  11. Thanks for info and tips everyone much appreciated, I spoke to council they said becuase evryone owens a house/flat on my road and generally has a drive way and/or garage only 4 out of the 10 garages are in use (2 of which are my neighbours) no break ins in the last 3 years just one issue with an abandoned car in 2010. Said if i take it long term they would do me a deal and as long as I take it long term and dont destroy the inside Im free to do what I like in terms of shelves/security..overall pretty happy with that so will get the keys next week to have a look at them
  12. Il have to check that out ekona thanks its not that expensive anyway so might just take over his tenancy, Car covers are pretty useless then if that happens and you have to keep washing car lol when car comes back Il see how much room I have left, but in essence my own mini zed shed yay!
  13. No wont be daily anymore but will b coming out quite often.Got a cover already, steering lock is good idea , I normally leave the battery indoors also just to be saferwill fund out about digging holes but i wanted something for inside as the more you put outside the more people will think there's something worth nicking.in going to post a note through his door now lol
  14. Currently my Z is having a make over and i hope it will come out prettier, my neighbour said I can rent one of his garages for cheap as he sold one of his cars. first concern is, is it safe? I live on a quiet road in surrey with no estates. I know they are hotspots but this one is overlooked 4 ways and is 20second walk from my door, in fact walk out door look right and you can see it. Does anyone currently use one to park their zed? Has anyone used anything to secure it better from inside? When it comes back I would rather have it somewhere covered as elements/people hitting it when parked(which happened before it went)seem to have put it in its current state any thoughts appreciated
  15. My zed is at Brooklands now and from the work ive seen that goes on in there, im glad it is!
  16. also managed to find a bit of time and refurb/respray my Rotas, please excuse lack of centre cap and grubby nuts temporary fix till my new wheels arrive, also resprayed rear spoiler which was also a mission!!
  17. another overdue update! I had to fill in the diffuser line as was about to throw something through the window as couldn't blend it without it looking uber f****d! Never done so much sanding in my life, nearly done just a few rough bits to sort out then off to Brooklands to be finished, will line out the diffuser and spray it black and the rest of bumper blade silver. Was told today by friend its the most elaborate fog light installation he's seen here it is.....nearly there
  18. Great job, mine will never look like that
