  1. lock passenger door from inside , pop bonnet disconnect battery and remove, close bonnet lock drivers door with key. Place battery indoors on carpet or something not concrete. Did this to my battery last September popped it in last week fired up pretty quick, you should be fine if you store it correctly.
  2. that looks like loads of fun and you still have green in your life, pretty win, win there
  3. I love the way the light goes green after he has clattered it
  4. i like the cosmis angled though I would have kept it off the arch and had it slightly more to the right, but that is just me
  5. loving that Grundy, Shame you got to redo sticker its a pain when you realise after and its a massive sticker! HR carbon bonnet is the way forward maybe if TS sticker splits across crease of the door
  6. they all started at different times...douchebags!! that's why they shut it all day! send them all off at the same time let the pro's battle it out with aunty mable

  8. I live near all this cycling chaos and to be honest it is a right pain , ive got to go out soon and cant for the life of me figure out how im going to get to my destination as all the major roads leading to it are closed, plus this isnt the first time in recent weeks for the cycling. I work for British Athletics and when we do this for running events we have a rolling road closure, as soon as the back marker is clear the road gets reopened ...cyclists move faster than runners , so why cant the same be adopted????
  9. if you unbolted the one would you not be able to lower it down one side then can wiggle it a bit better? nightmare mate when that happens and you have to go somewhere if not plenty of lube and just keep wiggling the hell out of it, I remember using a screw driver to prise it bit by bit
  10. un bolt the hanger mounts and then take them off when the whole thing is off the car and bolt them back on
  11. your dangerous person to know Chris! Ive still got to square you up and now you throw that at me
  12. im just trying to get to page 5 ...bit by bit Thanks Stu, I only have half the skills, did most of it then had the sprayer finish the rest as I got angry with it!
  13. i just call it 'the thread that never made it' Cheers buddy im just ticking onto approx 71,000, yeah i figured that about the oil, I thought I had gotten away with it till the plug got pulled and oil dripped everywhere
  14. Thought I would put this in its own thread as im the only one and GMB who comments on my build thread  had my compression test done today and the first 4 were at 180 but the back two were on 170, not sure if its meant to be like that? would these results be ok for me to go S/C? Below is results for each cylinder (back of engine bay) 170 170 180 180 (Oil in spark plug hole) 180 180 (Front of car)
  15. had my compression test done as well and the first 4 were at 180 but the back two were on 170, not sure if its meant to be like that? would that be ok to proceed to the S/C build? Below is results for each cylinder (back of engine bay) 170 170 180 180 (Oil in spark plug hole) 180 180 (Front of car)
  16. if you want to find out what the code is you can do a 'pedal dance' google it and record the flashes (as they flash quick) and can get a code. If you want to find out whats wrong with the car I would say yes it needs the code read
  17. Cheers GMB enjoyed my drive today, bumped into clown off here also! new plugs in, weapon r tank in and general check over, however found the dreaded oil in one of spark plug holes so new rocker cover it is then!
  18. well shes out (though haven't driven her yet) added some wheel decals for good measure reconnected everything that was disconnected before hibernation period. Off to Brooklands tommorow (cant wait for drive) for plug change, power steering tank install some other bits and bobs and more importantly a wash and some skid plates for under the front of the Veilside
  19. until then you can use the bolt hole (if its not destroyed) to cable tie it up till you can get a replacement
  20. good spot bradders I like that one may get two for front and back
  21. wouldn't the bonnet safety system of fired with a crash like that? and isnt it quite expensive to replace that system (as its a one time fire system and ecu) and get the code cleared from the ecu?? Not 100% sure but maybe something to check out if you do get it I have a rear bumper floating around somewhere so if interested let me know
  22. If they have not been undone before I would get it on a ramp or bung a garage £20 to loosen everything you need, then go home and change the exhaust yourself, after almost blow torching my face off I would suggest that
