As you may know I've just bought a set of 20" inch wheels and have had to remove the 20mm spacers as the wheel nuts protruded and because the insert cut into the back of the wheels is in the wrong place I've had to remove them. First of all, the front and rear wheels have an offset of 35 so they look a bit lost under there. So I've looked at several options and one of them would be to remove 5mms from the wheel studs so the wheels would sit square on the spacers, I've found a garage who would do this for me but.....unfortunately, I've damaged 2 or 3 of the short tapered nuts that hold the spacers on and have unable to source any replacement for them. The other option I've looked at would be to buy a set of 4x25mm spacers which would sit square on without having to cut the wheel studs. The only thing is I'm not sure how far the wheels would stick out with a total offset of 10? From a safety point of view this is the way I'd prefer to do it so I was wondering what thoughts anyone has and does anyone else run on an offset of 10 or have any photos?
The other alternative would be to go down the route Ebized took
