£50 sounds much more sensible, my zed is 08 reg with 33k miles. I used to change my plugs every year when I drove fast fords, but as I worked for ford I got them for next to nothing. I wonder do I really need to change them ? What do you think I'd pay for oil ?

my car is almost due a p3 so I've rang both a Nissan main dealer and a very good independent I've used for some years. The Nissan garage quoted me approx £350 Inc vat, the independent quoted the same ! This surprised me as they have always undercut main dealers by a significant margin. They qualified the price by saying the biggest proportion of the cost was the spark plugs at £22.97+vat each I've seen postings on this forum stating the cost price of a P3 is ~ £180 so i was wondering is the price of the plugs I've been quoted wrong ? Are they changed on a P3 service and finally would it be cheaper if I sourced oil and plugs myself, I.e on this forum ? Thanx in advance

mine never deviates from 18.7mpg on the computer, daily commute of 4 miles each way, a and b roads, havent had the chance to take her for a long motorway run as yet. Standard unleaded is sitting at £1.30/litre here

Yeah used the washers while driver, must check that out. Just put new washer solution in the car 2 weeks or so back.

Yeah similar smell i have had this in the past myself, but the aircon wasn't on.

I treated myself to a 3d Samsung for Christmas and i have come to the conclusion it is a gimmick, watched monsters v aliens , then cloudy with chance of meatballs and and Avatar they were ok watched a couple of matches on sky 3d rugby and football, again just ok novelty soon wore off. Main reason I bought it was for black ops but it was so laggy i gave up after a fee games, so all and all IMHO it is a gimmick, tho I must say the 200hz does make a big difference to sport, my last telly was a 50hz Toshiba.

I was in lanzarote 6 months ago and a litre of unleaded was 80p ! Considering mainland Europe is 700 odd miles away and the Spanish economy is in a worse state than the uk WTF is going on here ? Time for a popular revolution i think

now I've got your attention ! Finally got the "baby" back on the road after being confined to the garage for the past 9 days, i headed into the big smoke for a long waited curry, damned snow, I,m having curry withdrawal symptoms. Anyway after about 4 miles I noticed a horrible smell (smelt like damp smelly feet) emanating from the front o f the zed(heater) I stopped and checked out the engine bay in case there was a hose burst or leaking, but all seemed fine. Anyone have any idea what this smell might be ? It seemed to have disappeared on my return trip, but maybe i had just got used to it ?

I've heard that winter driving in a zed can be a rather "interesting" experience, so being at heart a cautious, not to mention miserable sod( don't want to spend 000's of £'s after putting my pride and joy sideways down an icy road) I've decided to invest in some winter tyres. I know it's never good to mix tyres,but do I really need to put winter tyres an all corners or is it ok just toput them on the driven wheels ? presently I've Falken 452's all round

I was thinking about buying the rota td's in gunmetal or matt black, any chance you could post some pictures ? A friend has them on his impreza sti but as they have a red trim I thought they looked a bit "Chav" I'd like to see them on a zed.

I wanna do something similar but can't find a link for an install how to for a 2008 GT with satnav, I have found some for cars with no sat nav, anyone help ? Also how does the satnav interface with the new head unit ?

My warranty runs out mid january next year and I was seriously thinking of buying the 2 year extended warranty for 539 quid. But after reading some of the horror stories in this forum I'm having second thoughts. I've only had to use a Nissan dealer once, to get my 2nd key reprogrammed, and they managed some how to lose the radio code, and had to strip out the radio to get it back in action again. I was there for 3 hours !! I wasn't filled with confidence (Charles Hurst Nissan in Belfast) My concern is that If I am unfortunate to try and get something repaired under the extende warranty, will they try and wriggle out of dong it ? Any NI members had any deaalings with Northern Ireland Nissan dealerships ?

We were in Munich last December, the Christmas markets were excellent. Went to the main one in Marienplatz, and also to the smaller( and a lot less expensive) one in Haidhausen, beside our hotel. Munich is a small city, easily navigated on foot. The brauhausen (?) were excellent, the Hofbrauhaus is a bit of a tourist trap, but must be seen, it holds 5000 people ! But to be honest I much preferred the Augustiner am platzl brauhaus, small with exceptional beer and great food. We stayed in the Munich city Hilton, really good, plus the s-bahn station is directly below the hotel. And for a small supplement, you can upgrade to the executive floor, where there is a free bar, with free finger food/snacks as well ! yeah all in all I'd thorughly recommend Munich, hope to be back this year.

I have re-checked the fitting and all is as it should be. I also the clunking noise occasionally but mostly its as I described it like the pads clacking off the calipers. I assume they are genuine as I bought them from cougar store on this forum. I've done some more searching and it seems a few people have had the same problem. I'm reluctant to fork out another £150 ish for a set of ferodos as the EBC's are brand new. I guess I'm gonna have to live with the noise, it's just where brakes are concerned I like to be cautious.

yeah gonna be 18"s 19's would be nice but the tyres are so expensive. Its a bit of a nightmare when you mix sizes front and rear, both on wheels and tyres as its hard to get suppliers who have what I'm looking for in mixed sizes.Gonna go for Falken 452's again, been running on them for 6 months and I can't fault them.
