  1. I really fancy changing my standard Rays for satin black, where can they be bought , I'm in Northern Ireland so I'd prefer to buy locally, though I think this may not be possible. Has anyone here had their standard Rays painted/powder coated and If so what are your thoughts ? Cheers
  2. oh yeah it was 8:10 am heading Belfast bound.
  3. Spotted a sunset zed coupe on wilmar road Lisburn today Monday 7th, was kinda shocked as its the first I've seen here since I bought mine 2 weeks ago.
  4. You cant put a price on fun. For the first time in my life I'm paying more for road tax than insurance £435 tax and £275 insurance full comp and protected NCP, @*!# I'm old, but my new zed is giving me a something to get outta bed in the morning for Oh yeah and £50 per week for petrol, and then I gotta change the tyres, jeez what have I got in to ????
  5. It's black, kuro ? But after a few days of rain and probably a good dose of Icelandic volcanic ash its a bit "grotty" to say the least. Gonna wash and wax this weekend, then go and get the front liberally splattered in dead flys I must say after a week of owning this car I'm seriously impressed, gotta get the tyres sorted tho and then I can concentrate on getting getting a proper feel of this car. One thing that isn't blowing me away is the Bose sound system, its pretty average to say the least, but at the moment the sound of the V6 from 3k to 7k is music to my ears !!
  6. Got my 350Z last Tuesday, got Bridgestones RE040's on front and some mickey mouse tyres I've never heard of on rears Autogrip F106 225 45 18. Car seems fine on dry roads, but as I've said in previous posts, on wet roads I have had a few scares, with the car seeming to "crab" across the road on corners. I've looked at tyre reviews and I can get a reasonably good on Avon ZZ3's on Blackcircles. I think its imperative to get rid of the no names on rear, and get 245's as well on rear. Anyone have any opinions on the Avons ? I've just spent a lot of money buying my zed, so I want to try and keep the expenditure on tyres to a reasonable level, without compromising on performance/safety, oh yeah and enjoyment. The car is awesome, but I dont feel confident driving with the tyre combo I have at the moment. Cheers
  7. Anyone using Avon ZZ3's ? I can get a good deal on these tyres on Blackcircles. I live in Northern Ireland so I need good wet grip as my current potenzas are not good.
  8. Hi, Got my 350Z Tuesday, had a run out in it Tuesday evening and it was fantastic.Took it out today and it was wet, quite a lot of surface water. The traction control light flashed on quite a few times normally when accelerating (quite gently) out of a corner. Funny thing it seemed to be the front wheels struggling, not the rears as I would have thought.I.ve been driving fast Fords for years and the last rear wheel drive car I owned was 25 years ago, so it seems unusual that the front wheels seem to be an issue. The fronts are bridgestone potenzas not new but still plenty of tread, the rears are new no name, maybe this is the problem ? Any comments, suggestions would be most welcome. It's a fantastic car, but I don't feel I can push it too hard as it has seemed way to "twitchy" so far accelerating in the wet conditions, I was expecting it to be more forgiving.
  9. Hi, Had my 350z 4 days and I've put £50 of petrol thru it considering I've been working to 7:30 each night and I work 4 miles from home I reckon I'm getting 18mpg. As for tax dunno where u get £17.08 per month from , it cost me £435 to tax it for a year that equates to £36.25 per month, but its such a buzz driving this car, I'm still kinda in awe of it, so much power and the roads have been very wet here this week (Northern Ireland) my traction control light has flashed on many times, it really is a handful, but in a great way.
  10. Hi All, Finally got a 350Z GT 08, I had a test drive last week and that was it, I had to have it. Did a 50 mile trip round B roads mostly, around the Ulster grand prix circuit (Dundrod) what a buzz !! Been working rest of week but come this weekend I'm gonna use a *lot* of super unleaded ! Its an amazing car. Anyway its good to be on board
