  1. Ooopps sorry. Let that be a lesson to you, never ever drink and rant
  2. Don't I know it, was in Bodmin last month and a litre of unleaded was £1.27 in Asda. Then I brought the hire car back to Exeter airport and I was once again mugged, albeit by a very fit, French smiling assassin on the europcar desk for 10 litres of unleaded at £1.92 plus vat per litre, I'm getting the feeling the b*stards are out to get me
  3. Just got the zed p3 service done for a good price, headed to town feeling good. I walked into the post office with paperwork in hand and I was mugged in broad daylight by a smiling assassin ! B*stard got away with £460 of my hard earned money, I ended up with a 3x3 piece of paper and the privilege of paying £137.9 for unleaded for 12 months. B*stard chancellor, b*stard government, it's made me seriously think of trading the zed in fir an oil burner.
  4. ive been looking round for an everyday drive mainly to keep the mileage down on the zed. I,ve seen a cracking little ST Fiesta for a really good price, only problem it's had an insurance claim, category D. What does this mean in real terms ? The ad says it had slight panel damage which has been repaired professionally, but being a sceptic I'm always suspicious.. I'd appreciate any views or opinions regarding cat D . Cheers
  5. Seeing as it's valentines day, I'm going to take my baby somewhere expensive, then we will get hot and steamy later! That's right I'm off to the petrol station then the car wash!
  6. Excuse my ignorance but what's the difference between kuro and ebisu ?
  7. If anyone is interested in this zavvi.com are doing this for £17.95
  8. +1 on the seatbelt bracket. Mine does this all the time, I just have to click it back in position and the squeak goes away.
  9. I'm bored so I had to find out http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shocking_Blue
  10. Just did the sums, that was almost 31 years ago. Jeez I'm old
  11. I agree about the misconception that Fleetwood Mac were soft rock, I was dragged, not quite kicking and screaming to see them at Wembley arena in 1980, tusk tour I think. One of the best gigs I'd ever been to.
  12. Nothing like a bit of Queens of the stone age, or Kyuss to liven things up, heres the best of both
  13. Wilko Lee Brilleaux sadly missed. Pure class !!
  14. Spot on, and you will also get Z neck its that last final look over your shoulder when you leave your baby on its own. Welcome LMAO @ Z neck, have had mine since May last year and I still look back and admire everytime I park her
  15. thats what im looking at getting, how did you find it? How did I find it as in what I thought of it ?, or how did I source it ? I found it a nice drive, as I said the remap made all the difference, very fast, gave my boss a scare one morning, when he passed me in porsche 911, I was right up his ass for a good 1/4 mile. Engine was noisy and threw a bit of black smoke out, but very economical. The stereo was pants even worse than the Bose. I bought it 09 reg with 5k on clock for £10300 at a local car supermarket and traded it in a year later with 17k on clock against an 08 zed and got £10300 ! free mototring for a year
  16. for future reference and to save my poor old arms, can anyone recommend which polishing/buffing pads to use with my Kestrel DA ? I dont want to mess my paint up with something too abrasive.
  17. yeah same thought crossed my mind, about the gym I mean. I did clay bar and polished with my new orbital polishing gizmo, so the finish wasn't too bad, I coulda spent longer buffing polish etc but I'm old and I didnt want the baby to be too obscene
  18. Had a couple of days off last week, so after a sudden rush of blood to the head I decided to wash the baby I then remembered I had bought some poorboys blackhole and some glaze cant remember the name at the moment. So 4 hours later after wash, chammy, polish, glaze and 2 coats of supernatural the baby looked awesome. Then she who must be obeyed came home and said it was obscenely shiny And I was insane to have spent 4 hours doing it !!! Luckily my arms were like jelly (I did it all by hand ) You sometimes wonder what goes on inside their little minds Anyway after going out for a nice long drive in the shiny obscenity, I did come round to her way of thinking as it was covered in a fine coat of salt, sore arms and 4 hours of toil all for naught
  19. My car before my zed was a 1.9cdti sri Astra, I bought it as my job then was an 80 mile round trip. I had it remapped to around 200bhp. It was a nice car, fast, torquey and giving me 61 mpg on my trip to work. But as soon as I got a job nearer to home it was history Then came the zed, nuff said
  20. Excellent RT, thats exactly the info I needed, all I gotta do is order and pay for it all Thanks again
  21. never thought of looking in owners manual , didnt think it would quote gearbox and diff capacities tho. I'll check it out when I get off work.
  22. Cheers, any ideas on gearbox and diff capacities? I've been told 1.5L for diff and 3L for pre-2007 models, but is the post 2007 also 3L for gearbox ?
  23. I'm about to buy oil for my P3 service MY2007 GT 350Z, can anyone tell me how much engine, gearbox and diff oil I need ? Also some recommendations as to brand etc would be appreciated. Also plugs , seems denso iridiums are highly thought of, but which ones do I need ? Thanx
  24. Thanks Alex, I've emailed the Indy to get a cost for P3 if I supply oil and plugs. I know mine have only 33k on them but for 99.95 delivered I think I'd get them done during the p3. I'll probably be getting back to you shortly if the service price is right. I was just thinking maybe the Nissan garage quote didn't include plugs whereas the Indy is including them in the £350 quoted.
  25. It's January 08 with 33k miles, I always thought plugs should be changed every 12k but maybe that was only applicable to the inferior vehicles (Fords) I used to drive before seen the light
