    It's not about how the paint sticks, but how the look may differ as the engine cover is naturally dimpled. So how does it look vs one which has been sanded smooth. I feel no one can answer this for me, so I'll just have to take a shot at it tomorrow. Hopefully it turns out ok.

    Using the VHT paints. Got a cleaner/de greaser, then a primer, then paint to,lowed by lacquer. Should that be OK? There stuff I would have thought would be adequate.
