  1. I have just read Ekona's reveiw of the boxter s. In it he mentions the boxter s weighs in at 1450kgs. I dont have any 350z weights to hand apart from what I can find on the net, so lets go for a 2004 gt @ 1463kgs taken from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nissan_350Z It seems the Z my be heavy but not too bad in comparison to some of its competition when the price of the boxter s is taken into account.
  2. Having the clutch fluid bled is your first port of call. Do this before messing with pedal set up.
  3. PM received. Replied and parts ready to go
  4. thats interesting as its sold on here by some as the best option for the most gains, 2HP is well within normal dyno variations, would take that with a pinch of salt tbh. Even 2 pulls of the same car back to back will likely give a difference of 2HP between them One 350z goes for a remap and has its "before" runs conducted. A cosworth filter is then fitted and on average it's 2bhp down (and never shows any gains). The cosworth is then removed and the standard filter put back in. The bhp is now back to the original average and is remapped with the original filter still in place. Thats the kind of testing we need rather than "feels more responsive, livelier etc etc"
  5. The 350z is equiped with the worst oil dip stick ever. In back to back dyno tests, a cosworth panel filter gives 2bhp less than the standard nissan paper filter.
  6. Hi I have a set of Super Pro compression arm/ Banana arm bushes for sale. I bought these from Horsham Developments on the forum for £150. I was going to fit them to my car but found that the bushes already fitted were nearly new. These Super Pro bushes are new and unused, they are complete with original packaging and fitting instruction. I am after £120 with royal mail special delivery. Pickup also fine (Sunderland).
  7. Which fuse is it? Does it disable the abs?
  8. Thanks for sharing the outcome. I do like a nice cheap and easy fix!
  9. All the weights listed are curb weights i belive. This includes a full tank of fuel. The Z has quite a large fuel tank at 80L. I would think most of the Z's competitors have tanks in the region of 50L to 60L tanks. You also get a space saver wheel with the Z. I think a compressor and a can of tyre weld is the norm now. The extra fuel and tyre could make 40kgs difference
  10. You mean the thing that brakes both front wheels if it thinks you have downbshifted too far?? HOW DO YOU TURN IT OFF, TELL ME MAN, ITS NEARLY KILLED ME A COUPLE OF TIMES!!! PM'ed
  11. When pushing on, the traction control does kick in early. Even with the TCS turned off, the stability control is still active and can kick in. I have found this to happen on trackdays. The stability control can be turned off though.
  12. Looks like you have a tricky design there! Any more pics with the tubing/pipe fitted?
  13. I painted my standard 18's in a dark grey colour. They look OK but standard colour rays are better imo. viewtopic.php?f=60&t=42385

German autobahns- smooth, long and fast. The 350z feels great at high speed. No modifications required.

I have driven my 350z at over 140mph on road and it felt fine. No wings, standard suspension, standard geo. Depends on the road.
  17. press the clutch pedal when the car is idling and making the noise to see if affects the sound (or stops it) I reckon its a fly wheel/ clutch related noise.
  18. I have found my adjustable BC coilovers can work well on road and track. A good kit at a reasonable price.
  19. Nice to see another Z on track. Too much Detailing and not enough driving from many a Z owner
  20. I got the coilovers fitted and setup. I have lowered the car around 20mm front and back to give what I think is a good compromise for day to day use and a bit of track work. I have used the car on track now and have to say I really do like the coilovers! I have experiemented with damper settings and have found 15 clicks all round for road use and 25 clicks all round for track use to be the best. Recommended viewtopic.php?f=36&t=49329&p=719493#p719493
  21. Cheers More info on the ducts here: viewtopic.php?f=59&t=40898
  22. Hi all I recently did a trackday at Croft. It was one of there quiet days where all cars have to under 88db. No problem for a standard Z, mine measured only 75db. The car was great all day. The yellow stuff pads and DIY cooling ducts did the job and the new BC coilovers were great.
