I can personally recommend the Paintshield/M3 type clear film protection, i had 370Z done when i bought it new and there is not a single stone chip to the front, as you say not cheap but it does work.
I have had the Evo R lip hanging around in my garage for around a year now because i wasn't sure it was the one i really wanted to fit ( i had my heart set on the Ings +1 ) but as the growler is now lowered and i live in surrey which is full of speed humps i don't think the Ings would last long as it hangs just under the front bumper as can be seen by example in this picture.
i have loosely fitted the Evo R lip to gauge opinion, ( it is only held by a couple of screws so no comments about gaps etc. ) So likee or no likee ?
Believe me an oil cooler is an absolute essential if FI, a Greddy or similar big sump will help as well ( they are finned ) cos it will get hot when you give it some beans ! i also fitted a Z speed ventilated sump shield and fabricated louvres to fit in the underwing splashsheilds all to keep temps down ( tbf mostly at the track ).
Abbey did the GTM Supercharger on my 370 a couple of years ago and i have nothing but praise for the good installation and service considering it was the first 370 they had done.
I am too much of a coward to crack the headlights open so these sit tucked away between the outer edge of the light unit and bodywork but you have to look hard to see them.
Decided to fit some DRL's to the Growler today, I fitted them using a DRL auto switch so only come on when sensing a rise in current with ignition switched on and engine running.
