  1. Jesus, if it came to that I'd have to flog the Ginger cow!
  2. So are the Zed's tappets adjustable? (if it is them that has grown the rattle)
  3. Hi guys, I'm after a couple of things please : Engine underside tray : this seems to be a three piece affair, and I think I only really need the drivers side part. Nevertheless, if anyone has a good complete unit with all the fasteners (some bugger has used cable ties) then I'm happy to cough up for the lot. Current one split a bit and hanging too low Bluetooth adaptor : Yes that old chesnut. In full working order please! I'm on holiday shortly for a week, so please PM or leave a note, and I'll check when I can. Cheers!
  4. Hi guys, Had a bit of a search around, but many threads seem to point to a possible ticky fuel pressure regulator (I think) rather than a mechanical ticking from the tappets, which I seem to have. I took the Z to Nissan for a service (just to keep the book stamped up) and after a couple of weeks, I had the oil changed again to Motul 5W30 fully synth, as I didn't believe Nissan would have put anything "good" in there. So fast forward a month, and now she rattles well for less than a second or so when starting in the morning, then I can hear a fairly good tappet rattle. Would an engine oil additive be any help? (Molyslip / Wynns / Slick 50 etc.) I have used them in different engines that were less complex than this one, and has helped with the noise. I know they are looked upon as a bit "snake oil", but has definitely helped in the past. Should I change the oil to something a bit thicker? Note that even when the engine is fully warmed up, she still ticks a long merrily. Z is a 53 plate UK spec with 60k on the clock, and a full Nissan SH. All help / guidance / abuse greatly received!
  5. I definitely fancy a stab at this, keep me updated
  6. Check some threads on Pistonheads about it - they have a member who helped build it, and knows all about what the cameras are doing and when
  7. I had two FTO's, loved them both This was back when they were expensive, and not chump change like they are now, and chavved to hell and back Would still like an original GPvR as a track plaything one day I suppose.
  8. Great delivery and price on my discs and pads - many thanks to all at CS
  9. I'm on board about the E-type. Do not know what everyone sees in it tbh, bubble roof, silly long nose, ugly butt. Probably requires a but there you go! Oh, and whilst I'm getting a beasting - Aston Martin's (modern ones that is) - JC touched on it last night, but I really do think they ALL look the same. Can't tell one from another - someone isn't trying hard enough in body-in-white!
  10. Zed is for days when its nice and I fancy a fun drive into work. Otherwise its the campervan being driven in. I dont want to treat my baby as a daily beater, thats not why I bought her
  11. Watch your leg Stew - he has that look in his eyes again!
  12. Can fit a couple of dogs in no worries tho - not trying to fit bodies in...yet!
  13. Not tried a Q7 as yet, but the wife wants one after her X-trail. I don't think they do any huge-horsepower engines in them, but from what I've seen - capabale on and off the tarmac.
  14. Cayenne is a nice drive - turbo is a good giggle, but don't expect any performance on wet grass. The RR's are good machines - we have a couple in our shooting syndicate. Can be fragile on the electrics side of things, and one of them cracked a water pump at 22k miles.
  15. hehe yes I saw the reply chap - no problemo
  16. YHM thro eBay ref. the bluetooth adaptor
  17. Nice to meet you Stew - never got to properly thank your Mrs. for the lovely cakes - I hope we can return the favour somewhen!
  18. oh aye - I got 32.3mpg on the way up, then 31.1mpg on the way back, as I had air-con on. Quite happy with that!
  19. Great fun guys, many thanks for all the effort put in. Great drive out route too - never thought my Zed could be a mountain goat See you all again soon! (Bramble's Dad)
  20. Ooh, just noticed my name on that list Rothers - best remove it now chap, as I won't be that early come Friday.
  21. Bramble is coming to LakeZ in my 350 He does like to play a lot - just doesn't like bigger dogs growling at him. Then again, who does?!
