As far as I can tell pinking sounds like light ratteling from the engine when it is being laboured. Ie low speed and low gear then put ur foot down

Wow, what a fantastic day for a cruise around the country roads with the roof down and a fab lady in thr passanger seat, dont know who she was tho. Anyways, nice slow drive going up a shallow incline, noticed that when i put my foot down i could hear the engine "pinking"? Yes..i have had it on all the time..wonder if that's why it has run out of gas? You might find that you have a leak on the gas system It could take an age to locate and work out expensive, There should be a light blue thumb screw somewhere in the engine bay, this would be about the size of a 5p coin, thats where the system is "re-gassed" from, hopefully the seals around that screw are perished and thats where the gas has escaped from. One thing tho, did you have the temp set to 18 degs??? lol

Failing that, why not deliver if he is close by? Just keep all receipts that post office give you, cos if paypal question that you have sent a package, you can prove it. Also paypal can only issue a refund to the person claiming against you IF and only IF there are funds in your paypal account....... My suggestion, empty your paypal account and remove ALL your bank/card details. I had some eastern european hack my paypal and run a debt on my card for 2.5K even before paypal questioned unusual activity!!! Thats security for you. Luckly the card issuer repaid my losses.

They just felt very responsive with little pressure applied on the pedal. You know what its like, you hit the pedal and get fired through the windscreen type effect.

Dont think i can answer that question, only had her for 2 months although it has FNSH! if that counts for anything No doubt there is a special brake fluid i will need to use?

Quick question chaps/ettes. I happend to drive my wifes beetle yesterday and i found her brakes were hell of a lot better than my brembos on me zed. I have standard pads with plenty of meat left on them and the disks are quite unworn. Only done 15k. So my question is are the brakes like this usually, Spongey? Or do i need to change something to improve the sharpness of them?

Have you done a search on these for reviews? I was looking at the same thing some time ago but the reviews dont boost confidence! Bad sound quality, bad resolution on the screen etc. Just ended doing the ipod mod on standard bose H/U. does for me.

Not having my zed for long, but having shed loads of cars in my time, i would be very sus of a car with that many owners. If you could contact them all it wouldnt be so bad. With this type of car you will never know if its been ragged round a track! Do some leg work bud and you will get a decent car. Took me 5 months to find one.

Thanks to all your help in solving my creaking car. viewtopic.php?f=9&t=35991 I have since been busy trying to locate and sort it out. All your suggestions were undertaken with no avail. I jacked the car up and lubed the drop links and all the suspension mounts etc.... no avail. Lubed all rubber door seals. Nagh... Getting really annoyed now. Anyway cut a long story short, it turned out the be the small rubber door buffer pad....... put some silicon spray in it and hey presto creaking gone.
