**Pointless thread alert** I slipped a disk in my back yesterday and spent the day in a&e in absolute agony...bad times! However, tramadol hydrochloride and diclofenac sodium are absolutely awesome - Everything is fuzzy! The list of side effects are pretty scary...I may end up as a cross dressing nympho with horns!

I cannot watch the video in the office so can't hear exactly what you are after until I get home but... There was something around a few years ago called a Vortex system - it was a box that you introduced into the system for claimed performance through exhaust gas channeling...my gut feel is that it was just for noise and had a very jet engine sound. Cartainly not my cup of tea but a suggestion none the less! There used to be a local exhaust fitter that could tune a system depending on what you were after - I think he is dead now (exhausted through age as opposed to an exhaust based accident) but don't under estimate what you can achieve with some pipe tuning...may make it a bit more trial and error than you would like - but exhaust tips, valves, pipe diameters and box internals can all make a difference.

I wouldn't have said that there is anything there that is terminal - it all looks to be surface corrosion. Happy to be proven wrong if you can put a finger through it...? I would take a wire brush or flap wheel to it and then give it a few coats of hammerite or similar after some rust proofer. Then top it off with some gravitex for good measure

Im not far off 30 and met my current other half online...more by accident than anything. I got out of a 3 year relationship, gave the online thing a look out of morbid curiosity and here I am four months later. There is allot to be said for online as it fits around work without the need to loiter in bars on the off chance that someone eligible walks in but there are a fair share of weirdos out there. One guy from the office picked up a lady admirer half his age. She was very normal on the surface but dig a little deeper and there were drugs, unemployment, bankrupcy and unresolved mentalness!!

MOT and full oil change - engine, box and diff. Not really mods but the box with the moly grease has made a world of difference!

Cheers Neil, I've got all the genuine gear from Alex Research says the box is 2.9l. Just diff to confirm now

Going to do my oil services today while the car is on the ramps for the MOT but can anyone confirm how much oil for the engine, gearbox and diff? I did have a pm from Alex but is gone in my inbox clear out. From memory, engine was 4.9l, box was 2.8l and diff was 1.9? Cheers Chris

Had this with my car. The seller transferred the plate onto their new car - but owing to the lead time, I drove with his plate on for a week or so. The seller sends the info off to the DVLA who action the transfer and then he will be issued with all new paperwork (V5, MOT etc.) that he will need to pass to you. You then need to get new plates made up and remove the private plates. You may well get the original plate that was on the zed prior to the private plate (I did) - but there is no guarantee. Note that you shouldn't drive on the wrong plates - which can cause you a day or so delay depending on where you source your new plates from. You could make all of this the sellers problem and swerve the cost of new plates and the effort of running around for it - that was my lesson learnt. You are the buyer - call the shots!

In truth....my solution only works where removing the old ones and they are knackered. Then a moderate tap in with a piece of wood to spread the load and avoid damaging the new joint

Assuming its a similar design to Honda and the like, I tend to use a suitable drift (or scrap socket) and an effing big hammer...not quite as delicate as that press - but suitably effective
