finally decided to pull my finger out and fit all the mods i had accumulated over the last couple of months friday: after work i decided to fit my lowering springs, all went on easy with no hastle so decided to carry on and fitted mt new y-pipe (thanks paul) and whilst i was at it put my top speed resonated decats on too, made a huge differance and love the chage in noise its made, feels like a new car to drive now love it. saturday: I decided my car needed a major clean inside and out, so spent a couple of hours cleaning her thoroughly, then thought what else could i do... so i tinted the reverse and fog lamp covers so the cars symetrical, also spend a good couple of hours getting all the winter gunk off my exhaust so its shiney again... then moved slowly on the the interior, fitted my new HKS plastic gear knob, and the had a play with some carbon vynal i bought from cfoster, wrapped the plastics near the rear window, then as i used it sparingly had enought to cover the passenger side door handle then wrapped the ally bits on the steering wheel. all in all a very productive day for a change

heya, i really wanna get my car mapped next month at abbey but i want to make the most of it, so i have everything i want except a plenum spacer, but can quite bring myself to spend the £200ish for one from envy, does nyone have one left over from selling there car or that they arnt going to fit? i need the complete whole kit, many thanks

the standard mud gaurds dont have 350z written on them, only buy genuine ones as anything else is just cack, that have holes on them and are very easy to fit, i bought mine second hard but paid £50 for them and another £50ish to have them painted, i think they look awsome and a far better alternative to skirts especially if your cars low best bet is to write something in the wanted section and see what turns up

dam that expensive, does nobody at all do replacements? and also i dont think you can powdercoat plastic mate?

i had some work done on my opld s14a buy a company called sjs designs, highlt recommended, i want the bottom of my bumper dont it that carbon vynal, ive done the little black covers near the fron windows and the stuff is proper easy to use so im gonna give it a go first, but the price you got is really good

ive got a greddy lip its been slightly modified at both ends so it doesnt go up the bumper so far as it didnt look right, heres some pics for ya

yeah and the old saying goes "ignorance is no excuse" if you had a crash it could void you insurance, which will leave you with about £10k out of pocket for your car, plus damages to the other car and anything else you mite have hit, they you would be done for defrauding an insurance company and i doubt you would ever get insured again lol, which is fine if you like biking everywhere...mite be a bit extreme tho on a good note tho, lol, my bro got stopped by the police for a veichle check and got home and panicked, he foned his insurance company and told them about his mods , full exhaust including manifold and sports cat, pipercross carbon air box, lowered 40mm, loads of lil bits, (its on his 1.4 mg zr, chavvy i know but hes 18, it looks ok actually) and his insurance went up £50, personally im amazed how cheap it was, dunno if it would be the same on a more powerful car tho? and what about factory up-grade exhausts or factory nismo kits? my exhaust is a fubijusbo legalis R which was a factory upgrade from japan, do i have to tell them about it? I have told them i have differant wheels tho...

theres a company called overrevs which will come to you or anywhere you want, and tint them for you, they do an awsome job, pretty much anything you want, i had all my windows in my GT4 done for £160, i got them to tint them at my work in the workshop as theres less dust than my drive way lol, they will also do group tint discounts, gonna get mine done very soon just gotta decide what to get tho, dunno if i want the back done really dark (limo) and have the roof painted black too? but yeah nowadays your not legally aloud to tint the windows infront of the a-pillars anymore than factory standard

my mate at work has got a 2007 mazda 3 mps (285hp FWD...) and his road tax has gone up to £501.00 so he went back to mazda and traded it in for a brand spanking new ... ... ... mazda 2, 1.4l (fiesta in disguise) couldnt beleive it, from one extreme to the other... kinda glad of having an import so not being affected too much, just have to spend my savings on some UK gauges now lol, hate guessing my dte in kms...

i had my badge smoothed but the filler has sunk slightly.... so need re-doning, does look really nice tho, love that front lip

mines done i a black swade material looks awsome IMO, you need to get the front sun visors re-trimmed too and paint the roof plastic tho

bit lower and some spacers and that thing is perfect. i think its turned out really well especially if its your first full wrap

Those pescky pikes have been at it again round here, weve just had 7 iveco daily mini-busses come in today, the cats have been stolen, i thought that had all died out but it seems to be back again, dunno what the scrap value of them is atm but we have to buy new ones from the manufacturer at £729.00+VAT, and all the cat pipes have 2 sensors in them which are about £97 each and then 6 rubber hangers, "luckily" they took the time to seperate the silencers from the cat pipe so we dont have to buy them too... any way so that times 7 fitted for the customer is gonna be a bill of about £8000... and as im a council mechanic the customer will more than be half the schools in the local area, guessing that while the schools have been closed with the mini-busses parked up they took advantage, im no expert but i thought schools were hard up against it with their budgets anyway... some people just have no morals...

agreed personally i dont like the look of the roasters, they look ok with the roof down but for 95% of the time with the roof up it looks wrong, if i were to get a convertable id look at s2000s or an m3 coupe

my cars an early import so doesnt have all the airbags, but ive had my headlining retrimmed in a black swadey material, makes the interior 100% better imo, dont think its propper swade as that would be majorly expensive, cost £40 for them to do it, all i had to do was take it out then put it back, ive gotta get the sun visors retrimmed too tho and a couple of bits like the light surround repainted black...

tarty with the bolts lol but gotta say does look awsome, by far one of the best iv seen, love the front bumper with the carbon and fold away plate really trick

if youve got all the gaskets and rubbers ect an exhuat specialist shouldnt charge much more than £50 for a straight foward fit, well my local place did anyway

craigs plates are literally just down the road form me, but hes got another shop to in scotland aswell, hes a very sound guy and his plates are always top notch, highly recommended by me
