  1. As I said, just weighing things up...but I do like a Zed!
  2. Sell one charged zed ..... Buy another . Stuff the posh cars !! Just weighing up the options.
  3. Good to see you're already taking good care of her mate! Love the new rear plate!
  4. How much is an Uprev remap? Where can I get this done?? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk In your area - Abbey Motorsport or Horsham Developments. Contact them for prices.
  5. Pretty sure that's the one I've got. About £15 from ebay and been working for 5 years in my '54 UK GT with torque.
  6. So you can get an hks defender for the limiter and a throttle controller for the throttle response. Or get an Uprev remap that does both, as well as a proper tune.
  7. Doc is correct, it is a slightly delayed throttle response. Not reduced power.
  8. SOLD and delivered to its new owner. :byebye: :byebye: It's a sad day in my house. I think I may regret it some time soon, but onwards and upwards ! Nice to meet you Daryll (mylo) a nice genuine guy. Look after her for me.
  9. Ah mate, so gutted for you. Really sorry to see this on such a sorted zed! Glad your Ok as that's the main thing, doesn't take the sting out of it though. Considering you rolled it it looks better than I'd have thought!
  10. Hi mate, That does seem a tad high, although obviously post codes, my no claims, clean licence and the fact I garage it will make difference. I think what your being told about experience with powerful RWD will make a difference come renewal time. I know I get asked what my experience is, but I've had powerful rwd for about 15 years or so. Get a year under your belt and it should drop significantly. Have you tried all that I suggested? Also , if you haven't tried already, try putting your missus on as a named driver.
  11. Thanks for all the comments and suggestions guys. The owners' experience of servicing costs is interesting too. The maser GT is at the top of my list atm, and after speaking to someone that's had a couple of each, he suggested the maser was a much better buy. I have yet to drive an Aston (or GTR) but have taken out a 4.2 granturismo this week. It was a very nice experience . Looks fantastic in the flesh, the interior is a lovely place to be, you can tell it's an expensive car. It drove and handled much better than I expected from a car of its size and weight and the auto box was a pleasant surprise. The manual options on the slush box, ie the paddles and stick worked very well. Not blink of an eye quick, but quicker than I can change a manual. The noise.....omg, such a lovely tone when down in the lower revs and a howling growl when nearer the red line! A little quieter than I would have liked in the cabin but it is a gt car after all. With the windows down though.......wow. The 4.2 was actually quicker than I expected after reading some reviews, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was definitely a bit slower than my zed (but that has 40 hp more and weighs 300kg less) but it certainly wasn't a slouch and the noise and sense of occasion pretty much made up for it. That said , I don't know how long it would satisfy me for .......hmm......so maybe I should be looking at the 4.7s . They are over 40k though and that is a hell of a lot of money for a car. And there are a lot of good cars out there in that price range! There has been some good shouts for other options and I have been a tvr fan forever , I like the T350 but I don't love it. I've been tempted many times by a cerbera, and I love the Tuscan , but something keeps stopping me. Now a sagaris...that would be nice. Wish I had the money a few years ago when they were 30k !
  12. Check out the trader section, most will sell the exedy clutch kit for around the 300 quid mark. If your fairly low mileage you might get away with out changing your flywheel.
  13. Any of the traders on here will sell you a suitable service pack. Or Opie oils. Personally I use Fuchs Titan Race Pro S 5-40w. With either a genuine Nissan filter or a K&N which has a handy nut on the end making it easier to remove.
  14. If you want some 'personal time' with it, it'll only cost you 11.5k
  15. Thanks again for the comments guys First post edited with pic of all original purchase paperwork, brochures, owners hand book, manuals, service book 3 original keys and folder full of receipts.
  16. Steve has hit the nail on the head here. Genuine bloke and a stunning example. I've had the pleasure of being in company with Sam a couple of times at Wales and I tell you now, the first person to see will buy. This is priced perfectly because as Sam says, thousands has been spent on this machine. A sad day Sam but the journey must go on..... All the best for the sale and in a way I'm glad she's not being stripped. This would be one of only a few Zeds which are supercharged that I'd go and buy, as it is. GLWTS Wow, thanks for all the kind words everyone.
  17. Cheers mate. They are awesome! Buy the car, and you can have them!
  18. SOLD With a heavy heart I put up for sale my 442bhp Vortech Supercharged Zed. It’s a UK GT 54 plate Gunmetal Grey with all the standard GT features such as full leather, cruise control, heated seats, climate control etc. Registered in December 2004 with only 40,000 genuine miles currently on the clock. I am only the second owner of this car and have had it for 5 years and covered 28k very enjoyable miles. The previous owner who bought it new, also a forum member, only having covered 12k miles in in his 5 year ownership. I can pretty much guarantee that it has exclusively been run on Super Unleaded since the day it left the factory as it was the previous owner that highlighted this very important fact to me when I went to view it. He also showed me petrol receipts to prove it. I can 100% guarantee that during my time with it, it has been run on nothing else. It has been garaged every night since I’ve owned it, apart from when staying away from the home. The previous owner said he did the same, and didn’t even get it out in the rain! Which I could tell was true as it was spotless underneath when I bought it. I do drive it in the rain, so its not quite so spotless underneath now, but is certainly pretty clean for its age under there as my MOT tester comments on every year. Due to the above, the bodywork is excellent for its age. It is washed weekly and polished/waxed monthly. However, as expected for a car of its age, it does have a few minor age/mileage related marks. There is some stone chipping to the front of the car, a few scuffs on the lower part of the front lip and a tiny dent in the passenger door due to my old next door neighbour opening their door onto mine. This is me just being honest and you have to look hard and close to see them. None of these detract from how good this car looks in the flesh and how many positive comments I get on its condition. There are absolutely no signs of rust or corrosion anywhere on the bodywork. It had full Service history when I purchased the car, a mix of Nissan and specialist, independent garages and in my ownership I have carried out all servicing tasks myself using only the best parts, oils, filters and lubricants with receipts to prove. The car has wanted for nothing , and as a competent enthusiast I would argue that I’ve done as good if not a better job at maintaining it than the majority of Nissan main dealers due to it being my passion and being in my interest. A Supercharged 350z is a joy to drive. It’s how it should have come from the factory. It retains the smooth linear power delivery the car was designed to have, only higher up the power/torque scale. This means that although this is a powerful and fast car, it is in no way scary or unpredictable but is still very exciting to drive. It is just as easy to drive slowly and smoothly as a standard one. The intake and exhaust setup in my opinion is spot on. It is not loud when driving normally and there is absolutely no drone in the cabin at any speed or revs. However, when you open up taps it sounds like thunder and has been known to spit flames on overrun! Mine was Uprev tuned at Abbey Motorsport and is running 402bhp @ rear hubs and 336 lbft Torque. That is approximately 442bhp at the flywheel which make a perfect road/occasional track car that can hold its own against most other things on the road at a fraction of the cost. Throughout my ownership I have been adding modifications to slowly increase the power but retain factory reliability. This has been a success and the car has NEVER let me down. I have had two faults over the years – a faulty fuel injector and a boost leak. Neither of which were ‘breakdowns’ and I was able to find and fix the issues while still remaining mobile. This car has never burned any oil or even required topping up between oil changes. Oil pressure is spot on and a compression test has shown a very healthy engine with good even results. This is a very reliable car, and other than a recommendation for increased frequency of oil changes to keep the supercharger tip top, it requires no special attention over a standard 350z. The interior is in very good condition. The black leather seats are showing minimal wear and the plastics very few scratches. There is some ‘ring’ wear on the top of the gear stick. There are a few additions over standard that are listed below but the interior still retains its OEM feel and comfort. The wheels are OZ Superleggera III Forged 3-piece rims 19x10 ET25 rear, 19x 9 ET20 front. These are a top quality, race spec wheel that retail at over £1000 EACH wheel without tyres! I’ve had them custom powder coated with Black rear, Black Chrome spokes and centres and Shadow Chrome dish/lip and polished bolts. Genuine OZ centre caps and chrome muteki tuner nuts really set them off. They look amazing and are in tip top condition. Tyres are currently the best on the market - Michelin Pilot Super Sport. Front 245/35/19, Rear 275/35/19 nearly new, all tyres have 6mm + I could talk about this car all day, its history, its modifications, its performance and its looks but you’ll probably get bored and I’ll end up changing my mind about selling it! It has had thousands upon thousands spent on it! It goes, stops and handles like a dream. Below is a summary of its modifications above standard equipment on a UK GT. I have almost every part to return this back to a standard car (other than removing the body kit) if the new owner so desires, and a suitable price adjustment can be negotiated. I would prefer to sell the car as is, as it would be a shame to ‘part it out’ even though I’d probably get more for it in parts. Anyone wanting any more information please feel free to PM me and I'll be happy to answer your questions. This car has been in fast car magazine and Japanese performance mag as well as the 350z-uk calendar for 5 years running! It has been recently serviced and will come with 12 months MOT. Private plate not included. The price I'm asking is £11,499 ono I feel that due to the low mileage, condition, known history, and quality of aftermarket parts, it's worth every penny. If I get the asking price the new owner can have every spare part i have, nearly all parts needed to return to standard including a set of OEM wheels and tyres in immaculate condition, and a full OEM exhaust system both of which only have 2.5k miles on them. OEM suspension, Kinetix High flow Cats, original rear lights and many other parts all boxed up and ready to go. Alternatively, if you feel you would rather have the car on standard wheels, or on OEM supension or OEM exhaust etc, let me know what your thinking and we can maybe come to an arrangement. Thanks for looking.
