  1. Welcome to the club Neil. First of all, put a post up in the intro section of the forum and tell us a bit about yourself and your car. (pics of the car are always nice) Then....go to the top right of the page (search bar) and type 'Exhaust' or 'wheel spacers' and you'll get LOTS of results to help answer your questions. If your still stuck once you've had a read, then ask away.
  2. Yeah that hose is a bit of a pig eh? Lucky I've got little hands, so once I figured out it was best pushed down from the top it wasn't much bother. Oh right, handing my maps out to any Tom, Dick and Harry now are they? I'll have to have words That's a great way round it though and makes sense seeing as you're running the same S/C, MAF and Injectors I am. I'm hoping to fit something in the way of a CAI this week if the parts get here and it stops ****ing raining for more that 5 mins!! I'll stick some picks up when done. I'll have to do my own thread one day. Cheers for the heads up on the CAI pipe sizes saved me going out in the rain and measuring up.
  3. The spacers will get rid of the CEL for 90% of the time but you might get the occasional one. The Uprev will get rid if it 100% ( as long as you tell them to) Out of interest I see on your other thread that you have the Invidia G200, do you have the mid pipe resonators or just straight from the Cats to the back box? I was under the impression that the newer G200's didn't have mid pipe resonators because people were moaning of them being too quiet. I have an older system from 2005 and it has the resonators in the mid-pipe, which actually suits me, as the Vortech increases the volume nicely at WOT.
  4. The other night when you said you'd had a bad night I was gonna say I bet it was routing the return fuel hose! I wish I had now! I found it much easier pushing it down the through the gap from inside the car. I suppose I could have told you that first. Its a good feeling when you turn the key and all is well eh? (just don't tell keyser as I'm not sure he's experienced that feeling yet) What FP you running? 52 psi ? Keep up the good work. I got a delivery of a new K&N RX-4140 air filter and breather filter today, just waiting for the pipework now then will make up my CAI. Fitted the Oil Catch Can yeasterday and works well. For your info the above K&N RX-4140 Filter has the 90mm fitting, can fit straight on the end of the Vortech and sticks through the intake hole or can be used on a CAI and will fit between the rad and crash bar without any probs.
  5. Really?! I would have thought with your exhaust setup you would be a lot more louder then this. Have you measured it yet? My set up is nowhwere near. Measured on the day held at just over 4k and was only 90 db. That's why I like my set up. Nice and quiet cruising about but comes alive under load !
  6. I'm thinking you might need to use the search function. LOTS of threads about Uprev. Also talk to the traders on here regarding other options. General rule of thumb for tuning on any car is choose your tuner first then ask them for advice on what system to use for best results. I used Abbey Motorsport and Uprev for my supercharged Zed and would highly recommend them. There are others that people regularly use on here - Horsham Developments, RS tuning, etc... What Zed do you have? DE, HR? etc What Turbo kit have you fitted? What supporting mods do you have? All of this info would help. Also, pop into the introductions part of the forum, say hello and tell us a bit about yourself and your car.
  7. This is how I do it I always go up on all four wooden blocks as it gives you more room for the jack and more room to move the jack handle up and down when its right under the car.
  8. The best way to get on the front jacking point is from the side just behind the front wheel. If you drive up on some wood or bricks its easier.

Why do you see that as a problem? Too many hidden niggles still waiting to come out. I'd take a punt at 3 years old, but not at 6. Fair point. Didn't worry me though, mine was 6 years old with only 12k on it when I got it...was like a new car.

  11. The trick is not to break it. I had a few seized nipples the other week. I found heat was the only option. Get your self a small butane/propane blow torch heat the nipple till it cherry red and slowly work it back and forth. you may need to give it a few heat cycles. Just take your time and they will come out eventually. And use plenty of penetrating fluid.
  12. Can't quite make out what is happening in the video...but your right in what your saying. The Bypass valve in a supercharger system should be open any time that the charge air isn't required ie when idling, cruising, any time your not accelerating really. As you said, if it remains closed when off the throttle, then the excess air that the engine can't physically ingest is forced back through the charger and out the air filter which causes the fluttering sound due to the charger trying to stall.
  13. Good news. Tell us more! What went wrong?
