  1. Yea, got a blade silver one although I cant remember another Z behind me. I have seen one coming the other way a few times though!
  2. Once I get a price for the surrounds, I'll post it on here. Ordering will consist of a deposit that will partially cover the cost of parts then it will take about 1 month to get the parts and build it. I can fit or you can do it your self. There's only 2 wires to splice and 2 to connect so is really easy. I can fit if you're able to get to Chesterfield and can also do the bose hack if you need it too as this will make the sounds quality a million times better. Cookie
  3. Yea, I'm pretty sure Nurrish uses the genuine surround too.
  4. Yea, defo if you have a satnav surround already and plan to ditch the bird view. Held it out side a few days ago and looks good, but now its in the car we'll see. Should be OK though as it's a glass screen, not that nasty silvery plastic that cheap satnavs have.
  5. Still waiting for a price of the plastic surrounds, but I think they'll be £100-£120 for those alone, maybe more. It'll probably be about £440-450, but no promises. There's a power button, a back button, a home button and a menu button.
  6. All done at last and it's looking good if I do say so my self. It's working flawlessly and I've learned a few things from building my own prototype one for future builds. Going to leave it on my car for a week or so to see what it does then I may bulk order some parts if there's enough interest, although I still need to speak to R35lee for some of them. Thinking of going to Wales too, so should be able to let people have a play. Here are a few pictures of the finished item, although as mine is a face lift car with a pre facelift cubby (yes it was a pain to fit) I had to make the panel that the buttons sit on from scratch. The ones I'll get from Lee for your cars are the genuine nissan panels and will fit and look perfect. Next is to work on a system that turns it on on starting and turns off on killing the engine.
  7. I want to go, but the girlfriend doesn't. Don't want a be loner! If I do though, I live in Barlborough.
  8. OBD over bluetooth and it's all contained within the cubby, so no wires off to a pc or the likes of. If you want to come over and see if it works on JDM, I don't mind, just park it next to mine and it should transmit to the screen in my car.
  9. Not entirely sure as I still have parts to buy, but should be in the low £400's.
  10. Managed to get it built and in the car to see if everything works well and it works just as expected. Couple of little hickups, but nothing major and the soldering is probably the most detailed I've ever done which took a few hours. The OBD2 stuff works well too. The car wasn't running, but the ignition was on. Some of the images have lines across them and has really shown the pixels, but this is just my crappy iPhone camera making it look crap. It looks awesome to the eye. The house wifi also wouldn't reach the end of the drive so internet related programs don't work like the web browser and facebook. So what do you think so far? Email
  11. To work with a Bose headunit, you'll need to have done the bose hack. There's a recent guide in the guides section or if you're not feeling up to it, I can do it for much good price special offer just for you.
  12. Been 'playing for the last 6 hours and still plenty to do! Should have it fitted by tonight then a few things like buttons and powering on options to sort.
  13. Right a few pictures but I apologise for the poor quality images. Video playback, the image looks blurred, but to watch looks good Web radio, I've been listening to the vocal trace station at DI.fm for about 1 hour now, sounds good with no interruptions over my wifi dongle. I've also tested the OBD2 port/ software and can report it works well, although I refrained from sitting on the drive revving the Z to see the gauges moving! More to follow when I build it properly tomorrow.
  14. OMG!!! Got the parts today and had a quick fettle. This is going to be so awesome and the screen quality is brilliant, it's fast and is very responsive to the touch. Far better than most I've seen in direct sunlight too. Going to do some more prototyping tonight and I'll get some pics up soon.
  15. Just found out that the parts were only dispatched on the 19th, that's almost 1 month from ordering!

    HKS Supercharger

If you break the kit, I'll have the fuel return.
  17. If you undo the 2 screws that hold the port, you can shift it where ever you want. I'm probably going to include some little 90 degree brackets with my kit that will keep it out of the way and stop knees smashing it off!
  18. I've been looking into this for a while now. iPhones have very restrictive bluetooth that is only designed for audio systems. There are ways around it, but you need to jailbreak your phone (I'd do this anyway!) and be running version 3.x.x. Then you need to download either iBluetooth or iBluenova. iOs 4 doesn't allow this software to work though. Androids have no problems. I'm using the same system for my in car nav thingy, see the linky below for more pics and stuff although I'm still waiting on parts to arrive.

    New Gear knob

he has them at £120 I think.
  20. I'll do it tomorrow if you want, I've already had mine off so isn't too much hassle.
  21. Cheers andy. Le Z man raises a good point, anyone one that trades on the forum should help you out long after you've bought from them, me included.
  22. I'm doing motor repairs. I take your old one and give you a refurbished one with brand new brushes in it. Nissan want £300 for a new one, I'll do it for £100. Nuff said
  23. OOooooo, look at that. Looks familiar.....
  24. Thanks peeps, but I think I'm really going to struggle finding the cash. Bad news is that this equals not pilots license and some boring dead end desk job, + side is that I get to keep the Z and supercharge the tits out of it!
