  1. Looking at getting some new alloys for the light silver Z and can't really decide on which colour I prefer. The silver ones do look good, but I'm strangely drawn to the gun metal and matt black ones. What do you say? haven't managed to find any good photos either. The other choice is the exhaust. The japspeed K1 looks quite sound and the blue flame sounds nice or I could have one made by Exhausts UK, but it would cost a bit more. Has anyone had any dealings with these? I'm always open to ideas too. I would ideally like one that doesn't sound over powering, just a nice 'tuned' sound will do me fine. I ideally would like a Nismo, but wouldn't we all! Does anyone have anything to say on the motordyne lower collector mrev thingy mabobber, as i've already got the spacer. Thanks, ya'll Cookie
  2. PM'd. I have coin waiting. Thanks, Paul.
  3. Took mine to an empty car park to 'play'! 5th gear donuts are where it's at.
  4. Having also heard the nismo, I agree it sounds sweet and i would like one too, but it is mega priced. What other brands have a similar sound and tone? Cookbot
  5. From stand still, it's quite quiet. It's only when you go from say 2nd to 5th or when you're just cruising, getting about the place. When you boot it, it's fine. Feels like it has more kick too, but as the roads are greasy you need to watch it as it fish tails in 3rd
  6. Just got my beast back after it had been in for a new exedy clutch and fidenza flywheel. On driving out from the garage i noticed it didn't go into 5 and 6th as easily as i would have liked, so back i went. Back on the ramp and with 15 mins it was sorted. My other gripe is that at low revs, but only when applying the throttle there is quite a bad vibration, in al gears. Now I know as it's a lightweight single mass there may be chatter, but i thought this was only really evident at idle not at about 1500-2000rpm. Does anyone else suffer from this or know why it's occurring? Thanks, Cookie
  7. Is the Tesco 99 stuff any better or worse than Shell or Bp as it's only(only!!!) £1.14? Cookbot
  8. I left the oem gasket in, so i might try it without. I did fit the lower gasket too, so will have a look there aswell. I didn't tighten all the bolts up too much as I don't have a head for my torque wrench, so I'm hoping that may sort it. Thanks guys, Cookbot
  9. Got a ISO copper thermal one from B2 Auto designs for £200 posted, all fees included. bargain. Just fitted it and it's now making a hissing sound . It also makes a woo-cee sound when you blip it and sounds like there's air bleeding out when I turn it off. Going to remove it tomorrow and have a look at the gaskets, but I’m sure I fitted it well(well it was dark by the time I'd finished! I oiled the lower one nicely and fitted all the other bits ok I think. I'm wondering if it has anything to do with the hoses, there is only 1 to connect to the plenum, 3 to the throttle body and 1 one the air intake pipe right. I have notched when driving the engine braking is not like it used to be, but there's a little more midrange. Does any one have an idea where it may be leaking from? Did it make anyone else’s throttle response sound any different? Cheers, Cookbot
  10. Been scouring the mighty bay and can't believe how much crap is on there and the ridiculous claims they have. Find it quite funny really. Might have to get this. Who needs £6k for a real turbo! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Turbo-Supercharger-Nissan-350Z-Almera-Tino-Coupe-GT-GTS_W0QQitemZ160360299062QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item255637fa36&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 or this. Turbo power from it just "being" there. When I next go flying at work i might just turn the jet engine off and allow the air flow to turn it for me! Must have been burning 6 tonnes of fuel every flight for the laugh. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-Supercharger-Turbo-for-NERVANA-350Z-300-ZX_W0QQitemZ300344979552QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item45edf4b060&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 And bling pullys that add 20 bhp, shouldn't have bothered with a plenum spacer then. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NISSAN-350Z-ENGIN ... 286.c0.m14 Bleat over...End of broadcast...
  11. Got my P3 done for £130 excluding the spark plugs! It's not what you know, but who. Winner
  12. Nismo get my vote any day!
  13. Taken the plunge too. Looks like my car colour theme is going to be blue Cookbot
  14. Found this whilst on the ebay scavinge and I'm wondering if anyone has had any issues with them? Don't look too bad to me, but I'm wondering why it specifies the 276 engine. Thought the 296 was the the same, just fettled with a little more. Any alternatives? The £220 one on the z store doesn't really do it for me! Could always buy some wire and crimps, but I don't think I can be arsed! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360152561406&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT Coobot
  15. if its for the 2003-2006, it has been discontinued I might be able to locate one however, as I think I know of a friend that has a bunch It would be for an 06 model, so if you can source a new one, I have cash waiting. Much appreciated if you can get one. Thanks, Cookbot.
  16. Hmm, I do like the Injen ones. Decisions Decisions. Thanks guys. Cookbot
  17. I have looked all over for one but just can't find one in stock anywhere. Does anyone know where one of these mystical items can be found? They seem as rare as rocking horse poop! I've already called Envy Performance which is the only web supplier I can find and they've been waiting over 2 month. Thanks ya'all, Cookbot.
  18. Thanks peeps, I'm going to have to find a good place close to Sheffield that'll look at it. Not too keen on official dealers, they usually (always) take the ****. Is it possible to inspect certain parts like the slave cyl or clutch fulcrum ball pin? Cookbot
  19. I've had my 350 for about 2 months now. After wanting one for about 3 years, I decided to splash the cash and get an 06 GT. I've been loving it ever since; however, after pulling out in quite a hasty fashion, the clutch pedal stayed all the way down and took a few secs of "pumping" to get it to return. It then proceeded to stink of that rank burned clutch smell; the bite now feels quite close to the top and is no longer as heavy to press. There's also a sort of squeaking sound like an un oiled door when you push it down, but it's only audible when the engine is off. I haven’t driven another 350, but are the clutches normally this heavy and like an on/off switch when changing gear or do I just need to get used to it? Is my clutch much shagged and going to cost me mega pounds to be repaired? My knowledge of petrol engines and more so 350’s is quite limited, so will help as many of you as possible but it could take some time to get used to things. I’m planning on joining a few of you at the Clumber meet or maybe around Lincolnshire some time, but it will depend on work and other life crap! Cheers in advance for the advice. Cookbot
