  1. I'm not aiming to do FI on the cheap, but I will save on what I can, which will mean I have more for the bits that really count. Just because somthings cheap, it doesn't mean it's crap, it just usually is Didn't know if this was one of those parts that a generic one is actually quite good. Those Mocals don't look too bad either and you only get the bits you actually need. They've got some massive ones too! Uber cool, literally. Cookie
  2. Anyone got one of these generic Ebay oil coolers? How is it as far as oil cooling and quality can go? Is it worth spending mega £ and getting a branded on as these don't look too bad and there's loads of different ones too. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190382864407&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_1329wt_941 Cookie
  3. Going to get the spacer, but thanks for the offer. More oil and sensor holes, two birds, one stone. Where did you get your radiator?
  4. I've had two bikes inside it before although I did remove the wheels, forks, bars, pedals and seat post to do it, not exactly ride ready! If you get rid of the spare wheel, you can get two bike wheels in there too.
  5. By oil block adaptor for sale, do you mean the sump spacer that has the threads for gauges or the oil filter spacer thingy? I need to start collection all the little random parts second hand if I can then it's just the big outlay for the tuner kit. Cookie
  6. I've taken headers off my old van before. I'm never taking them off again...off any car! Where's the best place to fit an oil temp sensor? Are the adaptor kits that fit between the block and the filter any good? http://www.z1auto.com/prodmore.asp?mode ... rodid=4217 Can't believe I forgot the fuel return. The radiator might have to wait for a month or two, I'm going to be skint It's al coming from state side though, so it won't be as much as over here.
  7. Right, the money is waiting and I'm just finalising the parts I want/need. As there's quite an excessive amount of parts needed for FI, am I missing anything blindingly obvious? -Vortech V-3 Tuner kit -DeatschWerks Fuel Injectors - 600cc -An oil cooler of some description, I don't know which one though? Cooler oil cant be bad surely, will help the viscosity. -Oil pan spacer -Although the V3 has an inbuilt reservoir, wouldn't a little more oil help keep it cooler? -Denso iridium 1 step colder spark plugs - My originals were due to be swapped last service anyway -Bosch 255ltr/hr fuel pump - Blagged from a friend -Throttle Body Spacer - So I don't have to hack holes in the OEM throttle body -Abby tuning - I had money aside for that anyway. -Plenum spacer - already got -Free flow exhaust - already got -Decat pipes - Looking at options - A boost pressure gauge - I want one that will look OEM and fit in the centre pod. Just getting rid of the ammeter I've already got nice wide tires to get the power down, the clutch will be replaced when it gets destroyed although there's a Exedy clutch and Fidenza fly in already. Brakes and suss will be somewhere down the line too. I'm not wanting silly power and replacing the stock internals really isn't on the agenda, so it has to be reliable. Thats why I want to keep it as cool as possible. Is there anything that could be safely removed or items I have missed. Thanks, Cookie
  8. Are there any differences on the exterior of an 06 296bhp engine to the 03-05 276bhp engine? I ask as I'm wondering if an 03-05 super charger kit would fit on an 06 engine. Thanks, Paul
  9. I used a really wide wood chisel to get under without wrecking it. Theres a row of orange clips around the edge which are frigile, so go easy on them and some metal ones along the back which you can rag out. Took mine off to get to that silly random weight.

    Hahahaha

My 350z is notorious for flaming people for noob questions, but I sniggered a little when I came across this post. http://my350z.com/forum/2003-2009-nissan-350z/469040-is-the-350z-6-speed-hard-to-drive-4.html I mean really, can you imagine learning to drive a manual Z for the first time
  11. On a long journey on motorways at about 80i sh, I get about 32-34mpg....Until I thrash it for a bit. I use Tesco 99 and only go round with 1/4 tank. You have to fill more, but it is a lot more responsive and gets better mpg. Try it, you might be surprised. Cookie
  12. I've got my Z on axel stands at the moment with the front left wheel off. Hope no pikeys nick my arch liner or brake calliper. Might go and lob the wheel on to be sure.
  13. Done it, but its now sat with only 3 wheels on the drive It's quite a tight fit don there though. I didn't know it had 2 tanks for the washers, but the tank I removed had a pump in it, surly that's fairly crucial to pumping stuff! How do I stop the fluids just leaking out of the old connecters too? Just blank them off or use a bit of tube to connect them up? Thanks, Paul
  14. So V-2 or V-3? They're both the same price, but the later won't need a deep sump for more oil as it's all contained within, or is there more to it than that? Cookie
  15. I've had my Nismo CAI kit for a while now, but took it off due to the fact you have no washer bottle and front left wheel arch liner. Does anyone know of a way that that it can be fitted without losing the ability to wash your car window and not having all the wheel crap flick into the filter? I love the sound, but can't justify not having the above items. Might be selling it soon though as the vortech goes in Thanks ya'll, Cookie
  16. Do you think a 95Ron + 104Ron mix would work well? 104Ron being Avgas aviation fuel, which I might have easy access too
  17. An Ipod touch is the right size to push it into the play position. Don't need to bother with a tape or removing the spring.
  18. Yea, they come on a clear back, but my 'I' was a little wonky on it, so had to be manually adjusted. You didn't think I individually peeled each one off did you? I you had to do that they would have gone in the bin!
  19. I thought that too, but each letter is an individual part so you can move them. i used a scalpel for mine, when i bodged putting them on.
  20. Got a pair myself and they look really good once on. A very subtle look and better than those carbon sticker pad things that usually look gash and don't fit! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWAX:IT
  21. Usually use it for lovingly polishing my Breitling watch. If I remember rightly, I think it's about £600 a meter and its only about 12" wide. Costly stuff, but all good when its free.
  22. Got mine state side from B2 autodesigns on here. Quite cheap if I remember well/
  23. I've got a kit used to polish scratches out of aircraft canopies that goes up to 8000. If you can find something similar then go for that.
  24. Probably be the fastest drive out...ever! Probably make my Z's willy go all small when some one rocks up with a TT 700hp setup though
  25. Found out today that the turbotechnics one is no longer made/done, so that makes the decision easy. Just waiting for some emails and should be ordering soon. Just bought some 19" Rota GTR's as well. It's going to be a pricey month...
