  1. It's all sorted now and was a fuse. Thanks guys.
  2. A ground loop isolator. As the Nurrish Sat Nav to Bose tape hack only uses a 3.5 jack. how would you go about fitting that to the little box wiht phonos? Break the L and R channels leaving the Ground line intact or break them all and just connect the L and R channel? Cookie
  3. No, I don't want the system as it comes with a pump, Tuning box and fuel pressure regulator all of which I don't need. The tuner option has only the Blower, IC, IC piping mounting plate and all the belts bolts and other little bits.
  4. Chance it in a bundle box and it's about £200 postage, duty and VAT! FI really isn't looking too bad. I already have an uprated clutch and flywheel, money aside for the remap as I was going to do that anyway and got a mate who's got a Bosch 255ltr/hr fuel pump for free. Just some decent injectors to get and it's a go. Might look into a fuel rail while I'm at it though.

  6. I would prefer to have a SC setup, but if it turns out to be a lot more, i'm not going to discount a turbo. Either way, it'll have more oomph than a NA setup. Might look into a bundle box to get all the crap back too.
  7. Thanks, all useful stuff. it's a Vortech v Turbotechnics show down and comes down to what I find the additional kit for. Stuf that could wait until the following month...will! Vortech SC from the states £2300... but finding out what you'll pay in duty is harder than installing the kit its self! And you pay VAT on top of duty!!! WTF, I can't wait to emigrate out of here.
  8. Good thread, lots of top gen. Still can't find a kit contents list for the Vortech and I'm fairly sure i'm not been a spacker.
  9. It's all serious stuff. i've already got money aside for mapping as i was going to take it to RS anyway if I leave it NA, probably go down the abbey route if I FI'd it though. Installation is going to be done by me and a mate. We've fully built a G40 supercharged engine from scratch, when a piston melted, so I'd like to think we could do it need to do some more digging on what comes with what though. Wish there was a good place for second hand bits and bobs too. Ebays crap these days.
  10. Just what does the Vortech kit come with the Z store is a little vague and the Vortech site isn't much better. Still intrigued by this turbo technics kit as it has the injectors, intercooler and it mentions a Turbonetics Full ECU Re-Flash.
  11. As long as it pops up the following month after I've been paid I'm not too fussed.
  12. Check this out... http://www.express-enterprise.co.uk/nis ... -5616.html From a quick look, surly all thats needed are some bigger rails and high flow pump or have I missed something? The moreI think about it, the more a turbo or SC makes sense. However, the Z store £5500 for a vortech doesn't make sense as you still need to buy LOADS of extra bits like injectors and stuff. Anyone know of any good places to look for second hand as well. Ebay is crap! Cookie
  13. It's just the standard bose unit and the one that come out. found out later, the lights in the dash don't work nor the 3 dials in the centre. As all these lights and radio should come on when the ignition is turned on, thought it could be a dodgy relay, but can't actually find it. Checked the battery bay and the fuses by the foot well. Where is it?
  14. Just faffing with the head unit on the car and there's no power to the head unit. Checked the head unit in another car and it's fine. Checked the fuses and they seem ok. Checked the power lines with a meter and it has no power even when the engines running. Any ideas? Thought there might be an inline fuse somewhere. If it maters, it's a jap import. Thanks, Cookie
  15. If anyone wants a hand and lives near Chesterfield, I'd be happy to help if you don't like the idea of soldering stuff.
  16. Just done mine, it's the easiest thing ever, but watch out for the tracks lifting on the PCB. A blob of araldite on top should keep it sweet. Also burnt my finger and it smelt of ribs! Nice.
  17. The y sect is a 3" anyway and the rest is 2.5". I know you should always go into larger openings, but 2.5 is still bigger than stock and sounds rude.
  18. Sounds good. I was wondering just how much weight must have been lopped off as well. The old back box is huge! Not quite sure what i'm going to do with it mind.
  19. Was going to have this one But got this instead
  20. Done Went for the 2.5" pipes to keep it a little more bearable on the long drives, but can always go back and swap to 3" if I want it a little more rude. Still thinking about the sports cat too.
  21. Decided to go down the custom route and it's booked in tomorrow at Exhausts UK. I can decide the sound, volume, shape, size and loads of other stuff, so will get a pic on and maybe a sound clip when done. £580 fitted which looks a good price to me as the Blue Flame I like is about that, but this has a 25 year warranty. Winner. Right, alloys next... Cookie
  22. Does this centre panel fit in the face lift car?
  23. ARRRRGGGGHHH They're all sexual. As it stands, Gun metal 19" Rota GTR and the Blue Flame are on my want list. Thanks peeps.
  24. Been having a look on the East mids page, but everything seems to have dried up, probably because it's Xmas! Will keep a look out though.
