  1. Sorry had a little read and apparently it can read and reset codes, but only displays six parameters at a time, it will data log the six as well, but for 15 mins, it does have some clever little features as well, that will do 0-60 times, power calculator, but IMO they are not that accurate.
  2. Tricky, Does this tool allow you to read live error codes while you're driving the vehicle? And does it definately work with all JDM 350z's? Which package deal did you get? I haven't actually checked to see if it displays codes while driving, but as its a live process i can't see why not, as for it working with the 350Z you should be able to check on the Blazt site, but i see no reason why not as its designed to work with all OBD11 Nissans. i bought mine from a UK ebay seller who is the official Blazt UK retailer, and it also works out cheaper from him as i checked with the NZ guys on shipping etc, but i think he has no cables left at the moment, as all i could find was this,http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BlaZt-ECU-Cable-4-Nissan-Micra-Primera-Almera-200SX-/290434190999?cmd=ViewItem&pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item439f3a0e97 You can always send him a message and ask when he will have more.
  3. I presume its the Infometer, they can display quite a few parameters, but the number you can display at once is limited, they are quite expensive considering that it won't display codes or reset them.
  4. I actually ended up going for this http://www.blazt.biz/ it basically reads all the OBD11 DATA, plus it can read and reset faults, and run diagnostics, it can permanently advance the timing by 2 degrees, and does data logging as well, The only draw back is that you need a laptop to do it all, however i guess it stops you having too many gauges to look at
  5. While i wholeheartedly agree with that statement Steve, as i tuned my Supra on the road, and it made what felt like pretty good power and torque, around 500bhp and 480ftlb, the guy who bought it from me had it re tuned by a fairly well known tuner on the dyno and made around another 20BHP and 25ftlb of torque, which surprised me.
  6. Ahh right! i see, yes getting the in between bits sorted is always time consuming, i still want to go the Osiris tuner route, but i have spent too much just lately, so its on hold for now.
  7. I was also wondering at the rich AFRs in the lower RPM range, surely it should perform better with leaner AFRs on part throttle and off the power band, rich would make it feel on the stodgy side so to speak, and make for lousy fuel consumption and little else?
  8. You seem to ask for the most obscure information But yes, the cable & sensors are untouched. All you are removing is the wheel & replacing it with a hub & a new wheel Thanks, its just that i like to know the details also the cheap boss i bought needed the removal of the spiral cable etc, so i wanted to know if spending the extra cash was worth it Have you heard of the splash boss?
  9. Thanks Ian, it was more specific info I'm after, do they allow you to keep the spiral cable and the steering sensor, or does this have to be eliminated? and if so how is the horn and indicator handled? I have found this,http://www.jdmperformance.co.uk/item_detail.php?prodID=52893 not heard of Splash, but it looks identical to the Works Bell boss, and its available in the UK.
  10. Anyone? bought a cheap boss but it will take too much to mod everything in order to work properly, so i want to find a boss that will fit and retain the some functionality.
  11. To those who have fitted one, which boss adaptor did you use? and was it a good fit. IE did you need to adapt anything in order to get things like the horn working, indicators cancelling etc, pics would be welcome
  12. Top or bottom? Sorry should have said, top! 33 Is that splines of dia Alex?
  13. Top or bottom? Sorry should have said, top!
  14. Would anyone happen to know this, and number of splines if pos?
  15. Very interesting, still thinking about going this route myself, not decided yet. Are you running a wideband setup?
  16. Is it me or are you still using the top spring rubber buffer under that coil adjuster? thought you should remove them, i did with my BC coilovers.
  17. P0350 Ignition Coil Primary/Secondary Circuit Malfunction Anyone ever had this? been looking in the manual but can't find any reference to the circuit to check.
  18. I would say unless you have some very enclosed heat shielding with a decent cold air feed you will probably loose power due to just drawing in more hot air than with a std filter, had a short intake like K&N on my 350GT, i now have an extended intake with the filter down in the front bumper air intake, which helps intake temps. One reason cone filters can loose you power is down to the intake design inside, look for one with a radioused (trumpet like) intake, surprising how much difference this can make.
  19. Waste of money, they are laughably called engine dampers, but in reality they are just rubber buffer, and a pretty hard one at that, they transmit more engine vibration to wherever they are bolted to. I have only ever seen one genuine damper IE hydraulic, and that was fitted to an early BMW.
  20. I was under the impression that despite covering the protocols listed, it needs to be JOBD-2 compliant? that only seems to list the EOBD-2 and OBD-2, or is it just a case of if it covers all the protocols it should work?
  21. Another bump, my Innovate LM-2 will not read the JDM ECU of my 350GT which should be exactly the same OBD-2 variant as the 350Z.
  22. Anyone recommend one that actually works on the JDM model, and not cost loads? did a search but couldn't find anything conclusive.
  23. Glad to see so many cat lovers on a forum, i keep Siamese cats and mine can't even get out of the garden let alone sleep on anyones car, i am also inclined to think they would need to have some pretty serious claws to scratch well cured lacquer. Anyway Citronella Oil will discourage them, other than that a water pistol will, but if you get a clever one it will come back just to **** you off Oh! and i will also be at the front of the voluntary manslaughter Que should anyone feel violently inclined toward one
  24. Any update on that code reader yet?
