  1. Thats a relief, as i have one on its way, so it should have no problem with the 350GT i hope pm Zmanalex he'll be able to give you the full low down on it. i know very little about it other than it isn't cheap They are for a OBD-11 reader/reset + wideband + datalogger, especially at the price i have just picked up the twin model for Thanks i will drop him a PM
  2. Thats a relief, as i have one on its way, so it should have no problem with the 350GT i hope
  3. Anyone use this on there 350Z? and does it read the OBD-2 data OK?
  4. It all depends on how its put through the SVA/IVA test my fresh import will only cost me £200 odd a year.
  5. +1 at least 6 to 8 hours work... Still loling at 1.5h !!! Yeah! but you have to remember that he's American so it stands to reason that if there BHP is 1.5 X UK BHP, so the time scale works on a similar basis in reverse I think the header route will be my best option as i have found some at a blinding price, just hope they fit
  6. I have read varying reports on how long it takes to do the job, one of the US guys reckons he did one side in an hour and the other in 30 mins, can't be any worse than removing the turbos from a supra or S13, and i have done that in 3 hours. However its not a job i relish.
  7. I notice that some people run a catch tank, does this bypass the std evap system? or do you need to remove the whole system, and does this cause any cel lights as from what i can see, there is a pressure sensor in the system.
  8. I will be using the Innovate LM-2 twin channel unit, i have used the LM-1 for a few years now, and they work very well, but sold the LM-1 with my old car. They have user configurable narrowband simulated analog outputs, also wideband, so you can virtually tailor the output to suit or even tweak the signal going to the ECU, but you really need the two sensors as its the only way to see what the other three cylinders are doing But like i said i have no idea just what the outputs of the std two sets of sensors are putting out?
  9. Thanks! I want to keep either the std cats (preferable, cheaper) however is it that much more of a job to change the headers? The other options are if there is enough void before the cats material, try and weld them there, or failing that replace one set of lambdas with the widebands and send a signal to the ECU, done this before, but as i don't know if the lambdas are true widebands, simulated or just plain std lambdas, But even if i remove and replace, i think i would have to leave the lambda heater circuits connected, unless i could find out the resistance? anyone know?
  10. I need to weld in a couple of bungs for a wideband, which has to go before the cats, so just wondering which would be the best option, and aftermarket pair of headers, or fit a pair of high flow cats, Also which do you think will be the quietest option with an aftermarket twin exhaust?
  11. I have been considering the LM-2, i have used the LM-1 for some years, very good piece of kit if you do your own tuning, the LM-2 is not only a wideband controller and OBD11 code reader it will also data log. Question for those who have this, did you go for the twin channel, as to be accurate it would need the two sensors fitted before the cats/or in the decats.
  12. can anyone tell me the diameter of these? external.
  13. Gave 9K,but you can get autos cheaper, and yes you would have no problem with a child seat.
  14. Apparently the prices are going back up quite rapidly in Japan, i looked at getting something more modded and couldn't find anything foe less than 13K, so I'm hoping with Infinity in the UK the 350GT will appreciate, as they are a lot of car for the money. 350Z performance (nearly) handling, but with four seats and a boot, and they are not much heavier.
  15. OK secured my new car today, 04 350GT fresh import, 50K auction grade 4.5 new wheels and exhaust followed by suspension ready to go on one its all tested and registered Excuse the bonnet left unclosed doh!
  16. If you know somebody who has, or works on a flowjet or laser cutter, then you may be able to get a limited quantity made up, IF you can find the material, sheet alloy would prove expensive, however there are thermal plastics/resin that would be suitable, the spacer/washers could be made the same. but i would thing the best most cost effective way would be to mould from thermal plastic/resin but it wouldn't be cheap that way, i see no reason why silicone gasket should not be used. Personally if i was going to spend £150 or more just to increase the effectiveness of a badly designed plenum, i would look into spending the extra and buy a purpose built plenum and do it properly
  17. Nice to see a set on a 350Z, they look great, just in the process of buying a set for my 350GT when it gets here
  18. Try here, http://g35driver.com/forums/ and here, http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/foru ... .php?f=220 There are few importers that actually get them, and there are some to be found on autotrader, colour wise, silver and red seem to be more common, with black and white being harder to find, same goes for manual box, and finding a combination of MT with Brembos, and leather is dam near impossible.
  19. No won't change my mind now, i prefer it, was never happy with the 350Z rear, front looks great, but the G35 has it all
  20. Looks a little tired in places, but not bad, best hit me with a PM and let me know what your asking for the interior, may as well give me a price on the suspension as well
  21. All a matter of personal taste i guess.
  22. Thanks! ill keep that in mind, won't get it for another two weeks yet, but has it got a leather interior?
  23. After driving both there is very little difference other than a slightly smother ride quality (Japanese suspension) but that will soon be changed i love the understated classy looks, and the sacrifice for two extra seats and a boot is very little, and there are some subtle aero bits available for them too.
  24. And going for it big brother the Skyline 350GT, mainly because of the extra space, and the more sophisticated looks. So whats 1/2 sec and a few inches and Lbs among friends, under the skin its still a 350Z so i will still lurk around here
