Cant find these codes; P0146, P0147, P0166 and P0167? so are you sure they are the correct codes? Are you running de-cats or HFC's? If so I would just turn the rear lambda's off that will stop any rear O2 codes being flagged up also turn off P0420/0430 catalyst efficiency codes ( these always throw CELS when the cats are removed or sometimes when HFC's are fitted) The P1283 code would need looking into thou , maybe have a look to see if the a difference bank to bank on the front O2 lambda voltages.

presume you mean his code; By abbeymotorsport at 2012-07-26 This is normal when the lambda are starting to deteriorate or fail.

You can turn off the any CEL using the Uprev software; By abbeymotorsport at 2012-07-24 This is a pretty rare code to see as Jez said before , normally means the car is starting to see a AFR that it shouldn't be seeing. By abbeymotorsport at 2012-07-24 This is the code you normally see when you fit De-cats or HFC's to a Zed, this is what people fit O2 spacers to to try and cure this CEL problem, spacers just keep the rear O2 sensors out of the exhaust gas so trying to stop the O2 sensor sniffing the exhaust gas. By abbeymotorsport at 2012-07-24 You do see this occasionally if the tune isnt spot on , i.e the front O2 sensor measures a AFR that is different to the AFR ratio in the AFR layout map like below; By abbeymotorsport at 2012-07-24 hope this helps.

You could of only masked the problem, as Jez said it isn't the normal cat efficency CEL you get when you remove the CATS. Really needs the short term fuel trimming checked, it could be a front lambda detoriating or failing. I would not be happy with thinking that the O2 spacers have cured the problem.

car loom doesn't connect up to HR engine loom , you need to make a bridging loom. Front composite panel different. doesnt matter on a N/A conversion but does when you fit either S\C or Turbo conversion. Fuel pipe's dont fit, modification needed Radiator/header tank doesn't fit. ECU needs the NATS turning off. -

Full engine strip to fit con-rods and pistons I am afraid. HR motor is a far better motor to tune good for 500+bhp stock -

The DE kit you can use a Vortech kit which is a lot cheaper than the GTM HR kit , but if you require HFC,s full exhaust system and the full SC kit your looking at over 9K easily I am afraid. -
I tuned a built 350Z Rev Up a few weeks a go , chap drove over from Denmark for Abbey to tune his car, rods/pistons/Cosworth cylinder heads/cams, headers , Cosworth Plenum, basically had the Cosworth kit fitted, after extensive tuning it had gain around 30bhp over a stock Rev Up car, all the torque/power over 4500 rpm. I think for the same money but using a S/C you would of gain around 100bhp over a stock car and not had to work the car so hard. NA tuning for big bhp is expensive

Totally different kit on a HR car to your DE car and the motor in a HR is far stronger , the DE motor we don't like to tune it over 360/400 hub bhp due to the weak con rods fitted. But with a DE motor budget around 7K+ for a drive in any out , have a search around the forum there will be some dyno plots of Stock DE motors fitted with SC tuned by us @ Abbey -

Fitted and tuned another SC kit on a HR 350Z last week, stock motor, stock headers, Berks HFC,s, Milltek Y pipe exhaust system. still running stock clutch; before and after dyno runs ( car only had stock CATS and Y pipe but had been Uprev tuned before we saw the car) By abbeymotorsport at 2012-07-23 By abbeymotorsport at 2012-07-23 By abbeymotorsport at 2012-07-23 -
£402-00 inc vat. Before and after dyno plots.

throttle maps or valet maps no, any maps the require tuning i.e 95 octane maps yes we charge extra.
-
we use the multi map function to give you 5 different throttle response maps.

DE motor and Mrev2 I feel is a waste of cash. They only seem to work on the Rev Up motor helps to feel the hole in the torque curve that the Rev Up has from stock. Kinetix plenum is a waste of time/money they crack and split especially on a F/I motor. Cosworth plenum work well on S/C cars thou but you wont see a good gain unless you run a little more boost.

313 car can have mult-imaps and the cruise control will work like normal; Hold down the toggle switch ( accelerate/slow switch) right hand of steering wheel , while holding this down press the cancel switch say 3 times , if the car has been Uprev'ed the SET light the cruise will flash 3 times, When you Uprev a late car you can have 5 different maps.
-
what model 350Z do you have? maybe it has multi maps? easy to tell if it has been Uprev'ed then

Rorty exhaust note on cold start for about 15 secs
Mark@Abbey m/s replied to doctor austin's topic in 370z Technical
its all to do with the variable lift/variable cam timing and cold start map. Once the car has been running a short time and warmed up it revert sback to the normal running map. -

Yep, another car had a charger fitted last week , 440bhp @ the hubs running race cats. -

I am still working on the hot/cold start cranking hesitation, most cars seem sorted now but Olly your car is a little different as it is N/A not F/I like all the other larger injectors car we have tuned. -
looks to me you just drive the car properly; The rear camber is adjustable the front isn't I am afraid , the tracking can make the tyre's wear funny thou.
-
Darren, does the damaged cat look like it has run hotter than the other side? also what side failed? I have seen this happen after the cats have been knocked about causes the catalyst brick to become dislodged then it cant radiate the heat properly. if you need a map tweak just send me a email. pretty busy at the moment thou.
-
Personally I don't think the % loss works , it has been debated so many times. Look just at the gains before and after dyno work. I doubt a 370Z will gain 40bhp from exhaust work and a remap thou , the most gain we have ever seen is Hub 30bhp from a 370Z N/A car with a full decat + system ,+ Motordyne plenum mod + remap.

Sure it was Abbey not AEM? I would not use a Haltech , would advise to use a Syvecs stand alone before a Haltech ECU. To tune the car with Uprev at a minimum your also need a Uprev Air Flow meter to go with the Uprev License and remap. This will cost including dyno time £1042.00 inc vat. I would prefer to tune the car with a fuel return system , to keep the base fuel pressure constant , running a F/I car with out a fuel return system your lowering the base fuel pressure as the boost climbs , this can cause the injector spray pattern to deteriorate, running a fuel return system allow the fuel preesure to ris ein relation to boost pressure so keeping the base fuel pressure consistent. But I have tuned car without a fuel return systems fitted. Running the remapped stock ECU give you full diagnostics, limp home, if you have cruise fitted this will still work and you can have multi maps ( I tend to just have different throttle response's. I can add a unleaded map but I also tend to set these up with lower rev limit and speed limit's to ensure the car isnt driven hard on unleaded fuel and the engine could be damaged. Any more questions ask away.
