any new updates for us ? -
Welcome mate. Irfans zed is a fine example of a zed if your looking for one
-
It won't. I'm planning some N/A mods in the near future and expect almost nothing in terms of dyno gains. What it will do though (according to the guys who've done it) is make the car feel much better to drive. DB yeah, it becomes more responsive and much smoother torque etc. Increase torque at lower end etc. Nothing that major that makes you go, "wow it feels so different!" i'm afraid

the best advice i can give is to sell the zed and buy something with a turbo then. You can spend thousands on the the car, I reckon 1k to even reach around factory quoted figures i'm afraid mate. I spent mega bucks and made hardly anything. If I could go back now I would save my cash up and go for a tt set up once I had enough. Works out alot better hp/£ ratio I want an NA car and am aware of the pitfalls of NA versus FI. Don't get me wrong. If 1k gets me even 20-30 BHP I'd be very happy with those returns. What I don't want to do though is spend 300 quid on induction to gain say 3bhp! you wont gain 20-30bhp, I've spent a few k and made 305.5 at the fly, the car standard should have had 297. Someone on here done 350ish on an n/a car and cost megabucks. Probs more than to turbo. What year of zed do you have. Search the dyno results thread for an idea. Most 276bhp cars rarely make 300bhp with uprev(around 400quid), HFC's (350ish-400), exhaust (upto 1k+), CAI (250+). Theres is plenty of reading on the dyno thread for it

theres sometimes a couple of genuine ones kicking about. Most were factory fit or optional extra when buying. Some were aftermarket also. A genuine one now, are as rare as rocking horse poo, and will cost well in excess of 1k from what i've seen. P15UL T distributed shine replica kits and they are fantastic Stew has one from the states, its an aerosync front end, made of somekind of flexible plastic, it is by far better quality than the nismo as it wont shatter from hitting things with it like fiberglass does.

As alex said, are you certain that tcs isn't kicking in. Clean the throttle body first before reset. Careful not to move the butterfly valve though. I don't know how the autobox's work with regards to the clutches etc but I know jays auto goes like stink from low revs all the way through on semi mode.

Too true!

I really hope I get to meet you one day kid. "a brilliant man finds a way not to fight a war" Sometimes you have to fight a battle to stop the war

The plenum spacer along with a remap can sort out alot of bogging issues. Take your air intake off and clean the throttle body also. Sometimes when you floor it, the car will kickdown causing it to change gear and rev higher. This sometimes takes a bit of time to sort out depending on how good the gearbox is. Clean the throttle body with whitespirit or the like and do an ecu reset and see how it changes. There are guides on here for both

Horsham developments have a very good name and are highly recognised as very good engineers. For the money, I would say the plenum spacer is the most cost effective power gain along with decats and remap.

Also the problem with the allowances of people speeding before a fine can be issued. In scotland its something like 10% and 2mph. Thats means in an 80 zone people can do 90mph before getting charged for speeding.

245/45/18 Driving style my a%^e! Its not that i need the tcs, id just like to think thats its working incase im ever in a emergency situation. You simply cant predict when you may need to make a evasive manouver to avoid an accident, those systems are put there to save lives and im not happy sticking my missus behind the wheel of a car that i know those systems aren't effectively working. Put it this way i bet jenson button wears a seatbelt, doesnt matter how good of a driver you are accidents happen and systems are put in place to help the driver and passenger come away unharmed. look mate, look at the amount of posts every replying member has. Most of us have lots of experience with driving these cars on track and on roads. If your going to use poor language I suggest you go elsewhere. You have now made yourself the forum tosser of the day... Well done. Go pay nissan a few hundred quid to sort out your problem. for you Oh dear! No need to throw the toys out the pram pal but your combined knowlage of a few thousand posts on a internet forum has been absolutely utterly useless upto yet. The biggest ignorence is thinking you know more than you actually do. The amount of posts you have is of no relavence or interest to me whatsover, so either you know why the TCS isnt working or you dont, it doesnt take a genius to figure out that if you knew what was wrong you would just say. I dont know what is wrong hence why i asked for help, not wanting to be patronised by a bunch of internet ken blocks about my driving style. Seems ive come to the wrong place eh? precision engineer eh? not very precise are we now ? 1st thing is i'm not your "pal" nor will I ever be. 2nd thing is there are many factors which affect tcs. 3rd thing is if you are driving to suit the road conditions the tcs will never kick in. The reason you went sideways is because you drove wrongly and pushed the car outwith its grip threshold. As an engineer you should be able to work this out.

it hasnt stopped working, the car has to slip first to realise it is slipping. If it isnt slipping then why would it cut in. What tyres have you got for a starting point?

2jz ftw .. they cost an arm and a leg for a goodun though

abbey dyno's from the hubs, if a de made 335 at the hubs i will cut my goolies of and hang them from tower bridge. Can you please post dyno graph. Cheers

WOoaah who stole the shaggers balls ? Nah in all honesty I do agree with Chris, I met my missus when we were at school, we have a massive age gap of about 2 months and been together for many years and still have a brilliant laugh. Her sister is 19 and her boyfriend is 25 and they have a brilliant relationship. Age doesn't matter in reality my gran and grandad had a 20 year age gap and were married until they both died . As long as both people are happy, at the end of the day, that's all that matters imho.
