  1. unless your going to be modding i'd stick with the luk dual mass fly. The lightened one will chatter alot at low revs
  2. I'm sure the full bottom section of the dash comes out easily as ame had mines off the last time I was down. You know the drill
  3. Ah well, nice to dream haha You look good at the track day stuff anyway mate Your right with that one though... Despite being an underpowered weedy thing, my car write cheques with its looks that usually can't cash... but.. as you said...the driver, a lot of people don't know, so you end up overtaking, or people moving over... me knowing full well they've got more grunt. Prefer the interior trim and look of the 06> models, so after one of those. Can't wait though, when its a nice night I'll get it down the Forth roads to moffat. RECOMMENDED scenery driving road! Just be careful of the bends! Right i'm off, you can give us a message on this Neil if you feel like being pestered with questions one day lol. Cheers for the vid! And for the Clio person (as we've deviated away from the topic i think) GET A ZED, YOU'LL LIKE IT. I've only driven 3... and fell for it immediatly. haha See ya soon mate
  4. lol we do banks mostly, im dedicated to one contract though but all in all its a pretty good job. We're probably one of the largest family owned engineering firms in britain
  5. Those seats look remarkably uncomfortable lol
  6. ahhh you probs know my company then as trend do loads of repair work for us I do alot of energy surveying and bms stuff but not technically a controls engineer but I know a fair bit about it through picking it up at college and on sites. Brilliant job you have! unless you need to change lux/temp sensors mounted up walls etc in the pissing rain lol
  7. lol its all down to the driver, a good driver in the 355 would have killed me no doubt. Just buy one and have fun mate, thats all that matters. Everytime I drive mine, even next to porsches etc I still feel proud of my car and have a gigantic smile on my face. The days I used to get to use mines for work was the most happiest days at work i've ever had lol
  8. you arent a trend engineer are you lol? ive just been doing loads of surveys and quotes to install all our clients with new trend systems i was on 15 starting at 18ish, 19k@2nd year, 23k@3rd year, 24k fourth year, baring in mind these were all basics
  9. its the top 3 from each round matey, theres a 300zx, me and a skyline r33 so far i think Get your car in for the next round mate
  10. This is me against a standard 350z i think Airfield days make it look very slow due to the width of the track being about 30metres or something
  11. lol was in the paper a couple of weeks back and about 5 threads came up about it lol
  12. you can also see the dust that was causing me to lose traction on the hairpin
  13. cool mate, well i'll nip up by, hartills closer than wishaw, should have her back first week in april watch this one from 7.06ish The evo is running big power, i hold him off for about 2 secs lol
  14. Wait till you see how fast the m3 comes by me when i start chasing down the evo lol This is one of my first trackdays at knockhill and i'm very aware of the run offs being short and dangerous so I'm not pushing on too hard. Coming out the hair pin behind the fezza my traction control was going mental as I hadnt turned it off, so it took me a while to get out that zone where the cars holding back.
  15. its running 305.5 in that vid i have a vid with a standard zed and me and i'm really alot quicker, i'll dig it out for you. When i get her back from the garage i'll nip up by and take you a spin mate, your only 5 mins up the road I will be running over 400 when i get her back
  16. lol that is a fast clio lol, the 205 has an mi-16 turbo in it also lol the same day i managed to pass a f355 on the straight lol... That clio is always at the track up there and the guy knows how to drive it well. You will be surprised at what you can take over easily and then very surprised at what you struggle to get by lol. Knockhill is a very small track as its originally a motorbike track. On a much more open circuit i reckon the zed would do much better. The clio is perfect for the track and due to being so light it shifts through the corners. Tbh i was the same i was choking to get by him, i thought i had him and then the gt3 appeared and I had to move to give way lol. What surprised me more was I always caught him in the corners which i thought would be when the clio would be at its best. All cars are different, the key is to always have fun
  17. lol 2-3 days is more than enough. Electrical is usually a day a week for 3 years then a year on site. I did 8 week blocks in college for my course as there was so much to learn You will enjoy it i reckon and you get to drive places you normally wouldnt see
