    LS2???

V8's have been put in a few US zeds now. no one as yet has done this in the UK but it has been mentioned by the odd newbie here and there. the issue you have is that the car just isnt as useable afterwards, mainly because alot of the cars electrical system is butchered to get the thing in (locking/security etc). If you spend enough money im sure a top notch autoelectrician could rebuild the locking and whatever else stopped working due to the swap but not many people have the money lying around that they would rather spend on this when they could walk into a showroom and buy a GTR instead...
  2. phew, got worried you'd already put the new engine in and it went pop. i should pay attention

  7. so its just sitting in the seat that makes it work how bizzare but does sound like a harness fault. you could take the seat out, etc but depends on how much ball ache you want.

  10. oh thats an odd one hmm well the windows are known to have problems but it seems to much of a coincidence to be the seat at the same time. what about the battery? does it all work when the engines running but not when its switched off? i bet its obvious
  11. first class man!!! i know how much of a technotard you are so this is great work!!! looks great!
  12. yes could be a loom fault, i assume when your outside the car the door is open? could be a fault in the wiring or connector going to the door and when you have it open it works? try sitting in the car awith the door open to get it working or the opposite, close the door and lean in through the window and try it. this will tell you if its in the door harness possibly. the other possibility is a wire is trapped possibly under the seat? so when you sit down it crushes it shorting it? have a look under there and check other possible faults are water ingress which can cause all sorts of funky problems as it shorts out connectors. i wouldnt have thought the windows and seats are on the same part of the loom tbh, they even come up from different harness runs into the BCM.

  16. i wouldnt pay someone to do my decorating i'll be paying someone to wipe my arse soon depends on how good you want the finish, i decided in my last bathroom i wanted the walls to be perfectly smooth and white so i spent 14 hours sanding and filling the plaster then used paint pads to get it perfect! turned out amazingly well Its honestly not hard to get an ok finish but takes a bit of practice to get it really nice oh and take the masking tape off before it dries!
