I would be very surprised if the super chip gave you that much power increase!! People struggle to get that kind of power with a lot of mods and full tune. The stock airbox with a performance filter is probably the best for performance, after market ones are for noise. I plenum spacer lifts the top of the plenum to allow the front 2 cylinders to breath easier and get more air. You get a slight power increase and some mid range torque. Again with all mods you will need a re-map from Abbey or RSTuning to get anything out of them really. You can actually see losses from mods if not tuned.

Standard JDM is a lot quieter than a UK exhuast.

If the car is an import then it should be a fairlady. Some insurance companies don't know the difference and a few times I have had trouble with my 53 import. You just need to make sure the give the insurance company all the right details and they should be able to sort you out. I had a little trouble with Chris Knott as it only went back to 2004 so they have put it down as 2004 and then put a note on saying that its a 2003 (53 plate) import.

I think this whole thing has turned into something a lot bigger than it ever needed to be. I didn't know the rule was first bump or dibs got the sale but the first offer of the asking price or which ever the seller decides to pick. Again as with the lifters I will happily pass these onto you for the price originally offered and I will just go to official traders for the sake of saving a couple of quid.

Think you will find I was the first to Bump on the carbon bits. I had already PM'd him about the carbo bits, your 'bump' actually says I will have them if you haven't heard from me. I just didn't post on the actual thread before you.

Yeah that sounds a good set-up. Similar to mine but I have a slightly more stretched 275 rear. Will be replacing with a 285 rear though when I need new tyres. Definitely agree with having a 30 profile all round though.

The previous owner was running 25mm spacers on the rears so I would imagine so. I am just about to fit some 20mm spacers all round as I have an offset of 35 on the rear. Shouldn't be a problem, unless you are lowered or planning on lowering.

I am running a 245/30 front and 275/30 rear. Although I think the rears could do with being at least 285 on the rear for 10" wide rim. The previous owner was running 275 no problem though and preferred the stretched look. Think my front is 9" wide as well. Sure more tyre knowledge people could confirm sizes though.

Can you not remove the tail pipes from the OEM and fit them on to the Scorpion? Not sure Jim,,,, if you find out let me know.... the scorpion tails do not quite stick out far enough for my liking... Dave I decent garage/exhuast place could swap you the tail pipes if you prefer the OEM ones.

The sound is pretty similar. The looks are different though. The K2 looks more OEM and the Scorpion is slash cut look. I have the K2 and FakeIndian has the Scorpion. His is probably slightly louder than mine but not much in it. Some people have been having issues with K2 fitments recently though.

It seems to be running a little slow today. Had to close the browser a couple of times today, and it seems to take ages to get back onto the site. I do have a laptop powered by coal though!!!!!
