Sounds like a plan. Perhaps worth plugging in the D1 again and seeing if unhooking the battery helped? If the problem returns instantly, it may indeed be the D1?

Odd behavior indeed, which settings you been riding around with? Have you been gunning it in an SP mode quite a bit? I thought the D1 just exaggerated your throttle position, and vice-versa in Eco mode?

Hmm, a combo of World of Warcraft, Forza 3, Football Manager 2010, Need for Speed: Shift, and a few other odds and sods, even get drawn into the odd Chess Titans game that's thrown in with Windows 7. I do every so often dip back into the old CD's, next one will have to be a revist of the Battle Isle series.

My desk is generally a grave yard of technology, but in no particular order I've got some Dell tower I inherited from a developer, a Samsung netbook for work outside the office (so nice having such a light comp to carry around, last laptop weighed 4x as much lol), a pile of ChipPC Thin Clients, soon to be some IGEL's, some busted PDA's & Blackberrys to try and resurrect, couple of old Dell Optiplex's to also try and resurrect for a cybercafe, and a pile of cables that would horrify anyone with OCD.

Good stuff, my 04 just passed flawlessly on Monday too - just got the car back, had the OEM 6 spoke wheels refurbed and re-coloured black too, all ready for the new year mods (when I can afford them, haha).

Yep, had same problem - you certainly have a few options, the weld on mine has held up fine and probably will for years if I was to leave it - but leaning toward a Scorpion in the new year.

NFS shift is a great game on the PC with a wheel, much more involved experience, feels a lot better. Forza has more depth though, more options, and some cracking tracks - if you can, get both - with a wheel!

Strange thing, insurance. Before buying, I was getting quotes of 600-650 as 28 with 4 yr NCB. Bought car, updated current policy and now have the renewal through at 944. So, started looking again. Now the cheapest quote I can find is 1250! I'm kind of lost for words about the price doubling... I spoke to one of the companies that posts here, and the best they could do was 2100 due to the time spent driving this kind of car so far - fair enough I suppose, but they quoted me just shy of 1k on a Monaro I had looked at 6 months ago, how can there be this mind boggling difference?
