  7. shame the silly bars are part of the bumper a nice mesh would give the Z a real racey look , had the full lockwood set up on my focus and loved it .
  8. man your in for some fun , fwd to RWD with 300bhp and buckets or torque :0
  9. if your feeling brave ....http://www.autohow.tv/ looks pretty simple and i may give it a go once i get my hfc (long off )
  10. your thinking of the roots type blowers you tend to see on the yank tanks , hes got the centrifugal type. basically the compresser half of a turbo and a drive mech to get it spining
  11. my Z leds are from the states and they just swapped out using the bulb holder as an adaptor fitment is pretty good too so i would hope these would be the same, go for em im sure youl be pleased even it it takes a little fiedling to get them working .
  12. well youve got the car to pull off the BGW/FOBW , photoshopping time me thinks.
  13. top work , how the heck did the shop get those arches like that !
  14. anyone else feel it before the light flashes ?? im sure ive had mine start to sqirm on me and either ive caught it or the esp has kicked but no light
  15. old one is a 2 minute job to remove just pop the cover and unscrew. as for mine see my build thread for how i did it. the sub is an 8" hertz energy. took a weekened to build including messing out doing other stuff etc but these kind of things are one day job if you need them to be not to hard to do. viewtopic.php?f=27&t=28201
  16. wish there was a way to electrify them , lets see how many we loose then ! came back to my car(not the Z) in teco car park once to find a fricking trolley laying agsint it AND the car next door leaving a little ding both ! so bascilly some **** just let the trolly go flying across the car park and took off . thing that hacks me off the most is its always non car people that do , totaly no respect !
  17. evil so evil but hye they get what they deserve !
  18. aftermarket naturally. persoanlly id skip the ipod nless you already have one and just use a sub stick . it will be alot cheaper , smaller and you dont have to mess about itunes . i have an old laptop drive that sits in the bay you on a single under the the head unit but you easily run an extension to else where but bare inmind not all units will be able power an extended cable.
  19. why not bin ye olde cd chnager for ipod/usb ?
  20. yeah manged leads and abck via a detour to doncaster to pick up some stuff and over 400 before the light came on just cruised up and cruised back down. second car with cruise and liek you will never go back ! saves the cramped legs etc
  21. ok first off you need a HU with 3 sets of pre out(front/rear and sub) so if you go double din this limits you to the higher end stuff (all alpines ) . like me you want BT and usb/ipod this means either top of the line units or get the add in modules , bets value unit ive seen is the jvc 820 . if its as good as theyre other avx range then it should be pretty good (ive got a single din avx33 ) as for loosing the blose sub then there not need to but there no reason to keep its just dead weight . most peep keep the stock amp and speakers and just add a second amp/sub whihc i belive you already have. the amp will hide under the glove comaprtment easy or behind where the sub was no problem. new sub either needs the old sun mount taking out (dismantle basicly the whole interior) and a box will fit there if its made right(see guide somewhere in here) or do as me and most others do and make a custom one for the boot. any decnt ice install can do it all it just comes down to £££ id get one thats done a Z before as the the dash is all hooked in and as soon as i mentioned the Z to my local shop the guy ah the one wiht tricky folding dash thingy ! did do it myself with a second pair of hands to help put all back in .
  22. if your not using both dins hows about below your HU ?
  23. There could be a genuine mine's lip up for sale soon dibs !
