  1. With gt4 wheels I think. Very clean!
  2. I'd love them but I really want dish wheels. GLWTS
  3. That's crazy prices. Thankfully I have Braehead Infiniti relatively close and they do a wonderful job. So I won't see past them.
  4. Looks great. The car is sitting really nice in my eyes!
  5. Congrats mate on the scooby. Can't wait to see it.
  6. I think the tramlining etc must be a bmw thing. My z3 done it which was running stock suspension wheels and non run flats, also a friends 3 series done it. We'd laugh about the feeling you got if you touch a painted white line. Kris what about an mx5? Still fun to drive however not much power but useable fun no doubt. I'll get you the hairclippers though
  7. Yep took me two OBD scanners to work. I went for the large block with orange and purple sticker version from amazon. Also for software if you have an android phone or tablet get yourself torquepro. Works a treat when a EML comes on.
  8. I'd say for piece of mind always get it done right even if it means spending a little more
  9. Don't think you get a 3.0 turbo z4? even the Z4m is a 3.2 na. The one I am looking at has a the 3.0si engine which replaced the original 3.0i engine. Done a quick search online and couldn't really find any common faults with them. Only thing people said was that the rear springs are prone to snapping. Cheap fix compared with a Zed banana arm Yeah Kris i'm pretty sure believe it or not the new shape z4 has the same engine from the e90 335i. a twin turbo z4... now theres something for some good fun and quick tuning.
  10. Ohh the A5 is for the off.. I didn't see that coming mate. Z4s are good all round. Off the top of my head though are you getting one of the 3.0s with the vanos or turbo style engine? If the vanos seals go it can be a reasonably expensive job. Don't even think of approaching a dealer for that work. Other than that they are fairly reasonable to run from what I know with experience around bmw zed cars.
  11. Looks very nice, some black mesh in the gaps and it will be spot on!
  12. I've heard a few people having had a similar service to this done e.g. terraclean etc Some have said how they've experienced issues afterwords from basically the dirt/grime etc actually filling up areas on worn parts being removed. Heard good mpg improements on disels though.
  13. Sounds like a great improvement If you dont mind us asking, was it costly?
  14. Not for me buddy but if you're happy with them that's all that matters
  15. Loosely translated, i know the gtr is so much quicker than my r8 i have to find a way to justify buying the slower car, lets be honest, if you can afford £35-£40k worth of car a few hundred quid on servicing is immaterial. I know I will probably take some abuse for this... I'd rather a v8 R8 than a GTR I know the GTR is hugely faster but I think the r8 has soo much more in terms of style that I'd be willing to sacrifice the speed.
  16. Topic is beginning to open up a bit now. It's fair to say that sourcing most, if not all, parts ourselves is going to be the best option certainly with a zeds. In regards to servicing costs though even at infiniti (where my z is going next month) my service is just over £100. I can't believe the amount of oil needed for that 911 I'd love to upgrade to something with a bit more badge However for bhp/running costs I still haven't seen something equal to or better than a supercharged zed.
  17. What model of 911 did you have ekona? It's good to hear other peoples experiences with other cars working out well.
  18. My point is, the guy in video is giving prices...but these prices could be direct dealer prices, OEM prices etc. As I say, Zed maintenance is expensive if you used OEM replacement parts. To say the running cost is expensive, you'd need to know where the data is coming from first. Yeah I agree and I am positive that he did use an Audi for his references. I would think though that if I was in a position to own an R8 I would probably try to maintain an Audi history for the car likewise porsche etc. My point was more at considering what the zed is capable of whilst retaining reasonably low, not dirt cheap but reasonably low costs.
