Amazing game, with a proper steering wheel & pedal set up it's next level. Seems unplayable with joypad. Maybe I need to play with the settings. I did briefly but it didn't inprove much. As far as I've seen it's a pretty hardcore sim so not something you could jump into arcade style. Perserve and I'm sure it will come together

Got to agree, very good pad and teamed with goldeneye was superb as every function felt naturally placed... rumble pack or not
-
That's good to know..... does it bounce ok when frustrated? Actually it's been a while since I've checked for a software update for the pad. Will check that next time I'm online but an elite controller maybe on the cards.... it's a normal controller as far as the OH is concerned......
-
You know I was looking at them last night.... I'm struggling to justify it but that said it's only the cost of 2.5 standard controllers so you can see I've started to justify it
-
I think I'm on level 7 and support class 2. Definitely agree about trying to stick to one class however I do tend to mix it up if I join a team who are all support for example I'll try and be a medic or assault for example. I think my day one controller is starting to fail RB button doesn't always respond so may have to order a new one

I know Fodder is on Xbox1. I am indeed. Play most nights but only for half an hour or so, if I'm online and playing I can have a game. Gamer tag 'holmsey fodder' I think my gamer tag says how rubbish I am Campaign is rather short but I'd still suggest you play it as it gives you a feeling for controls and tweak the settings.

Me too, I think most people will feel a number of these symptoms at some point in their lives and it's so easy for them to drag you in further but the health care system doesn't have the resources to recognise and treat. Some people are better at coping than others and I think TT seems to be recognising it is something out of his control and is finding ways to help such as this article and reaching out to people here. TT I hope that's a fair summary of your current situation and I'm hoping things are starting to come together for you. Please don't forget though the vast majority on here aren't professionals but are giving support and advice on their own experiences.

@marzman I played that for a while too.....you may want to delete it Found it very frustrating but still went back

Best wishes to Caroline for a speedy recovery Pete and also make sure you take care of yourself too!

I expect an update within 10 hours of play to say you've finished the campaign I enjoyed the campaign too just a little short but then BF campaigns generally are. Enjoy

I had one on pre order but couldn't justify the cost along with a limited game launch, also there are too many variables which will stop it being mainstream... eye conditions, headaches etc.

Stuff that looks like people.................

Sorry to revive an old awesome thread but Sunday brunch are asking for similar photos today. The Yorkshire pudding one was awesome! -
Just had a look for that, not the best picture but you can see what they've done nicely. Yeah some friends have been, I've not had chance as it's a bit out of the way for me but it looks impressive.

I'm on Xbox for BF1. I could never get on with console FPS myself, played MOHAA on PC back in the day and was quite good but in more recent years I've switched to console as it's easier to jump into a game when short on time. I also think "kids" are just much quicker than my generation and get it from the off whereas gaming was in its infancy when I was growing up and the gamer would spend more time either loading the game or actually to get it to work with differeing h/w drivers etc. Actually the latter but I found more interesting than gaming itself for a few years... I'm weird like that and it's shows in my job as I love it when something breaks

Ive not been myself but Caernarfon castle are doing a display similar to the Tower of London a couple of years back.

Not tried the pigeon mode yet but did try TDM last night, great for a quick game but you really need to think about your load outs as I went in with my normal one and a spanner to fix vehicles along with a mortar doesn't really lend itself to these game types Again a few bugs and WTF moments but nothing that spoilt the fun. Woken up this morning to no broadband so no quick blast and as Saturday nights are the one night I'm not allowed to game then it's going to have to wait until tomorrow. Oh and ranking up seems to take an age however I think that's more down to me not using the classes correctly and going all Rambo at times. I also recommend the companion app, much better for customising the load outs.

@GM I think I'm only rank 4 overall and am mainly support. I've typically been playing the capture the flag type game. A stand out moment was on a map which I think was a French town with a train track running through, I found an armoured car which I jumped in, drove around until I found my mate and told him to jump in.... we were chasing down infantry and those he couldn't shoot I was running over. If we encountered armour I'd race in the opposite direction and repair down alleyways etc. So much fun, we both couldn't stop laughing and I apparently got killing machine accolade. Really needs to be played in party to get the most out of it.

So I completed BF1 campaign relatively quickly for me, it may be short but it is brilliant. Had a few goes on MP and as with all BF games it's important to work as a team (no surprises) but it's utter mayhem and I haven't laughed so much in a game for quite some time. I'm rubbish at games so maybe I don't take it that seriously which may help but friends were saying the same. There are bugs in there and I've hit lag a few times but the main downside to me is the MP rounds take soooo long, most games I've had have been around 30 minutes per round (mainly capture the flag or whatever the mode is called) which in itself isn't bad it's just some times I only have 30 minutes to grab a game so I need to plan a quick blast a bit better

You don't hear much about Chernobyl but you dont see many people vacationing there! Sent from my SM-G925F using Tapatalk Actually I do know of at least one person who has visited Pripyat as a tourist on an organised tour. I know this isn't chernobyl however those photos aren't Fukushima either That car does look too clean to have been stood 5 years however we don't know how recent it was taken... unless I missed it

Dude apologies if I've come across harsh, that's not been my intention but rather not to be indirect. Mental health is a huge issue in this country and I bet the vast majority of the population has suffered to some degree or other even if they won't admit it but the problem seems to be that the NHS isn't geared up to deal with something that can't be seen/x rayed. No disrespect to any NHS worker with that comment. No one wants to see you taken for a ride, if you're happy with your current circle of friends then that's fine but I still think you should widen it as the support doesn't SEEM to be there from your posts. The group you're meeting with sounds like a good start, spice also sounds like it will give you an opportunity to meet new people as well as new challenges to keep you busy.
-
TBH they don't sound such good mates. I'm with 370nut, you need a new circle of friends who have similar interests and aren't interested in what you. Annprovide in their moment of need. Sounds like your old friends see you as a fall back option when things aren't going well for them. Join a group who have a similar interest to you be it photography, walking, art or whatever you find you are at ease talking about and if you aren't sure try some anyway as you never know. I took up couch to 5k in the summer with my local running club, I'm 20st over 6ft tall and the only male in my group.... great way to meet people who just want to get fitter and enjoy some company. You also need as others have said professional help, stop being taken for a ride and put your foot down. See a counsellor and a solicitor as soon as you can. NHS is fantastic in an emergency but really not geared up for mental health issues.

Why do you care? You have no idea if it's standard or being driven on the edge or if it's in fact stolen. Forget what others are doing on the public highway and get yourself from A to B in the most comfortable/safest way possible even if it's via C D E F and G way points. The zed isn't point and squirt, it's a grand tourer and will keep going all day long. Enjoy it for what it is not what others think it is.

I think this is actually the third thread. Cancun at Christmas Benidorm at Christmas This one. Obviously Christmas is a difficult time for many as well as yourself. and it sounds like although folks can't commit to a holiday away they can commit to meeting up etc which is awesome. I went through a bad patch quite a few years ago, I thought at the time I was in a bad place and couldn't see a way out of it. Anyway over the Christmas period I did exactly what Dan suggested, I went for an awesome drive through north wales on relatively quiet roads but if you're planning on doing this don't forget to plan your route based on fuel and fill up Christmas Eve as you may find it difficult to find stations open. It is after all just a different day matey. All this fuss for a couple of days of most people being places they would rather not be stuffing themselves silly with food they wouldn't normally eat and worrying about paying for it all. Enjoy your blast in the car, nice price of steak and a beer in the evening.

Yeah I've been playing campaign myself, just a mate sent me an invite tonight so thought I'd give it a blast.

Just finished playing two games of capture the flag (my first foray into 'p on BF1) and its utter bedlam...... fantastic fun but the WTF!! On my first game I got "killing machine" as i found an armoured car and just ran between checkpoints running enemy over while my mate was in the machine gun.... absolutely nuts but great fun
