  1. Kit arrived real quick from Brain looks a quality piece of kit. I plan to fit at the weekend. Will let you all know how I get on. Right time to make a call on the ERZ's HFC's...
  2. Just ordered my complete kit from Brian, let you know how I get on fitting to the roadster (any tips??), very reasonable $300 inc shipping to New Jersey house.
  3. One for the detailers this. Which is better in terms of overall finish and protection rather than application? Poorboy's Liquid Blue Nattys Wax or normal paste natty wax? I haven't tried the liquid and was thinking of having a go with it.
  4. WLMG Slough have just replaced mine, many thanks to the Service Manager for sorting this out so quickly and confirming the recall which Nissan GB apparently weren't aware of at the time of speaking. Nissan GB customer support on the other hand failed miserably to address my initial inquiry and concerns of the steering lock seizing up on random cold mornings during the winter. They basically denied all knowledge of a issue and tried to charge me £130 for a initial inspection which I would be liable for cost should a fault not be found. Basically the fault was hard to reproduce and happened randomly hence my reluctance to drop car in to dealer. Nissan GB will be getting a nice compliant letter from me in due course when I have calmed down. WTF is the point of buying a sports car from a main dealer with extended warranty cover if the warranty doesn't even cover the basic operation / function of mechanical components such as a steering lock solenoid, come on Nissan GB you really need to be better than this to retain your core performance car customers! I never had any of this fuss with used porsches or BMW extended warranty / recall issues, needless to say, as and when I replace the 370z for a used GTR it sure as hell wont be coming from a Nissan main dealer.I shall buy it privately and shall source my own warranty cover. Right now, rant over and back to the modifications before summer really kicks in . HFS's next on the shopping list.
  5. Any one know if CNT / ERZ have a uk importer? Seems pretty popular state side. The HFC from them is $300! Thats a fair wack less than a Berks HFC for pretty much the same piece of kit.
  6. Ok that doesn't sound bad at all , hardly any hiss, a fair bit throatier than normal Invidia CBE. Defo need to meet up have a pint and hear it under load. Will a road trip could be on the cards on a dry warm day? Initial impressions are I will probably be parting with some cash soon. When I get a chance I shall do a similar recording with just the Invidia CBE on mine. Did you record on a dslr or a phone?
  7. Thanks for that Will now i am really considering HFC's. Just need to remember how much more cabin noise the roadster has over the coupe. Also been eyeing up EZR's but would probably go berks as more common in the UK. I think a joint black rosé road trip might be on the cards.
  8. looks like a ex dams 4100 6r4. Mates dad used to build these monsters in late 80s, he used to be known as mr 6r4, cant be that too many left, a few road versions were built too!! Proper road rockets.
  9. Good stuff just don't want the thing going awol when I am in the darkest depths of Europe in a few months. Mines a late 10 plate so maybe ok but has the same DNA as Wills370z so just want to be sure:)
  10. Will the forum admin post the chassis numbers up as a sticky once advised?
  11. yeah that's my worry too much of the wrong type of noise, I don't want to look like a tool at traffic lights and wake the dead when I go for my 6am Sunday drives. The Invidia is actually pretty mellow deep tone even at revs, a nice sound which doesn't sound ott, I don't want to ruin this.
  12. Hmmmm, Does it hiss when backing off the throttle or on idle? Bear in mind it will probably be even louder in my roadster. Will, go on do it!
  13. Ok so not sure if the Invidia and Berks HFC's are for me. I need a listen in the flesh, does anyone run this combo near Windsor area that would fancy meeting up for a listen? I am really happy with my Invidia but just feel needs a bit more aggression. I am slightly concerned about the rasp and hiss with HFC's.But the power gains with the uprev look ok and I would need to fit HFC's before doing the uprev. Ahh decisions...Also wish it would bloody warm up so I can sort the rear camera mod, the thing is a pig to park
  14. I was in the salt covered 370 roadster on way back to Windsor.
  15. Htc have come along along way from first handsets. Just finished a project with them and they have got some good ideas in the pipeline. I Still sometimes use my Nokia 6310i for comedy value with the Dom jolly ring time, to be fair it still lasts longer than my iphone and gets more attention than any smart phone.
  16. No regrets as a de and hr owner, the 370 did need a couple of tweaks from oem. Whatever you decide you will still have fun in a Zed.
  17. I am shocked that the designers would pen something so terrible. Look at the rear end.. For the love of god. Come on Lambo, never mind 1 off bespoke commission cars how about a new middleweight V10 super car to replace the now very old Gallardo!!
  18. ok after much deliberations and research I have decided not to do this. The costs soon start to mount to do it properly even if parts sourced and shipped tax free from the states. The car would need a new strengthened clutch assembly, extra oil cooler and probably a transmission cooler. Brakes would need attention too..Then there is the insurance, my premium will triple. Decided to enjoy the car as it. Maybe just a uprev when the warranty is up to complement the Hks filters and Invidia system.
  19. Think they maybe made by Akebono then Nissan label slapped.
  20. Personally I would forget the miles on the car and take it! The main reason I bought my Zed was to enjoy open top motoring in Europe. You will be in easy reach of some cracking roads, which will be near you up in the hills of Monaco. I plan on putting at least 3000 miles on my 370z this year in Europe. My old ginger 55k miler 350z did three tours of the alps and never once missed a beat. Put the wedge towards fuel and a few hotels. If you take a shed of a car I can guarantee you will be driving along thinking god wouldn't this road would be awesome in my 350z. The Zed is the perfect pan Europe hack. It will be some of the best 2000 miles you put on the Zed.
  21. Was bought outright but came with balance of mfg warrenty and Nissan cared 4 extended warranty. Shall ring nissan Uk and check.
  22. Anyone know if the cared 4 warranty includes pan European breakdown recovery on the 370z? Got some Europe road trips plan in coming months:)
  23. I fitted these some time ago to my 370z and they were a bit looser than oem but not enough to allow anything through into intake pipes. personally I can't feel any difference in them compared to oem Nissan items.
  24. as my dads saying goes "don't be gentle it's a rental!"
