  1. +1 on moving the rake of the seat forward, I had it fully reclined on the rear bulkhead bit and it constantly squeaked, moved it forward a few mm and the squeak has gone.

    Hydro Dipping

it tends to referred to as water transfer printing, make sure you add a clear coat over the coated part and it will last for ages, the clear coat also really sets of the carbon or wood grain look. This technique is used on a mass of products on the market place. Produces pretty good results hey!
  3. I can confirm that putting a stubby on the roadster completely cains the FM reception. A noticeable difference in performance, espically on certain frequencies whilst on the move. Suppose it will be fine if you like main radio stations with a strong signal etc, but I mainly listen to Absolute and I the radio kept trying to auto seek with stubby on. Sat Nav was fine though, but that may just be luck. Back on with the broom stick handle.
  4. I am guessing that they open from the inside just not the outside, like you say great until you have a big one and someone needs to remove the driver or passenger from vehicle if unconscious.
  5. Shall have a look, bear in mind most newish BMWs have satellite radio as standard, so would worry about fm reception over here, shall look into it. Cheers for the pointers chaps.
  6. bugger will have to buy another stubby
  7. Any one tried replacing the broom stick handle fitted for a stubby. Its a bit well ugly imo. I am guessing the sat-nav is taken car by the blob at the bottom and the aerial mast is only for AM/FM?
  8. Great colour and great pair of cars.
  9. Any ideas or anything close colour wise for 19inch Rays. Oh non Black edition.

  11. Cheers screamer, that convinced me that this is the exhaust for me. More bloody money...Groan. Hopefulley coupled up with the pop chargers I should be in motoring nivarna. Oh and be able to hear something with the roof down over 20mph. What were nissan thinking on the oem exhaust, both UK DE and HR models were just right. Decided against keeping the eibach spacers as I found the car tramlined pretty badly and lost some of the balance and composure when getting a lick on. This wasnt so noticable on the 350, it must be the larger tyres and rims.
  12. Welcome, glad you like the Zed, also glad it's stayed on the forum!

  17. Silly question, but has any one put 25mm on the fronts and 20mm on the rear as I am guessing the stud issue wont be problem on the rear alloys. Will this look nasty or worst still make a mess of the balance of the car?
  18. Hi chaps it was my 313. Which has now been part ex'd on a 370z roadster. It was for sale for ages on PH and Auto trader. All I had was tires kickers calling me wasting my time, trying to knock me down so I part ex'd it. Its now at a main dealer.I got pretty much same px price as advertised price with out the hassle of test drives and tire kickers. Yes it is in A1 condition and very, very well looked after, no expense was spared on the car as you can tell from the spec, If any one wants the contact details for the dealer pm me. I am sure they would do a good deal as they find it hard to shift Zed cars in current market place. As the ad said you wont find a better spec'd 313 for the money. It was priced fairly imo and was priced to sell. I didn't lose much on it over the last 18 months and it provided me with more joy than any other car I have owned, I just fancied a change as it was my 2nd 350z and the 370z are now at sensible money. A very tough act for the 370 to follow!
  19. was waiting for that....Will get some pics up soon:)
  20. Well today I bought my 3rd Zed! Big thanks to Will for giving me the pointers to look for on a roadster, I have bought a tidy car for good money with none of the niggles mentioned on the forum. Went for a 10 plate with all the bits on and in black rose, which looks fab in the sun. Its only done 5k so pretty much brand new. Needs two wheels refurbing but other than that perfect order. I had a proper test drive with the roof up and down on varying road surfaces at different speeds. Overall was really impressed with the 370z, no speed difference between 313 imo, the interior quality is a massive improvement over 313, overall everything else it did better than the 313, bar noise. The rear visibility is as expected, terrible and boot is a joke, but should be good enough for the cross Europe drives! The lady will just have to take less stuff. The dealer gave me a good trade in price for my 313 which sweetened the deal. The sales chap was really helpful and a car fanatic so made it painless experience, the dealer mgr complimented me on the care taken for my 313, this was reflected in the px price, only £500 less than what it was priced on PH and Autotrader. Result. Overall another very good experience with a Nissan main dealer, even though they were not a high performance dealer! They seem to care more about customer service and welcome dealing with the sporty models. My only niggles are that its pretty quite aurally compared to both previous 350's. Easily sorted with a exhaust, hmmm Nismo or Fast Intentions decisions, decisions. I shall get the Eibach spacers (if they fit) on and Cosworth filters next weekend along with sorting the alloys. Shall get some pics up of the Zed evolution when I get them off the camera.
