  1. I used a Large block of wood aswell to help spread load when doing brakes last weekend. Then popped axle stands onto a bracing section rather than lower sills. You may need to drive on to bricks and wood to do this method unless you have a low entry jack.
  2. Ah, I am on St Leonard's road. Moving out of Windsor? Matbe One less Zed amongst the sea of range rovers and porsches. They are bloody everywhere. Did you have two Zeds at one point?
  3. lol that will be me mate! Spotted you same place last week too! On foot this time, the Zed only comes out a the weekend. I work over the road. Not many Zeds in Windsor these days.
  4. Around 6 I was in company car not zed. Sounded sweet as it pulled away from the lights.
  5. I plan to fit my new bda stoppers next weekend. Just had one quick question, I am in need of some advice from those who have done this already? When I go to check the run out on the discs, the discs will need to be bolted to the hub in a few places to stop them dropping off and to keep a accurate dti reading. Do the oem wheel nuts have enough thread depth to secure the disc without the wheel in place, basically take up the width of the rim. I seem to remember them been pretty shallow in blind depth? If not what thread size are the studs? I will go and buy some of flat type nuts for the job. Ta
  6. Big thanks to Alex. Went dba's front and rear with Brembo pads f+r. They certainly look & feel well engineered & manufactured . Even by Oz standards Hopefully will get them on the Zed next weekend and look forward to giving them a work out down the Windsor relief road (bedding in road). Money well spent! Cheers.
  7. I had them out the calipers twice to check they won't dragging / stones etc on the disc and used copper grease, not loads tbh. Checked run out etc. Think it must be luck of the draw. Maybe they just needed more of a beasting during bed in. Shall drop zmanalex a pm see what he can do.
  8. Its that time again new discs and pads..... When I had my last 350z GT(DE) I replaced Brembo with EBC discs oem spec with yellow stuff pads. I did three track days and all the discs needed replacing..Sore subject. Needless to say I dont want to go do this route again. I have now covered 27k in the 350z (GT)HR. The discs have lips all round and the pads are starting to get low again. I havent taken this Zed on the track and dont plan on either. I would like to keep the oem look, so ideally no grooves, dimples or holes. I have had these types of discs on previous performance cars and personally dont think they make much difference for road driving. I have seen possible replacment discs for front and rear. They are made by Stoptech. Has anybody had any experience of this make? Can anyone suggest any other OEM alternatives? I plan to mate them to red stuff pads / Brembo pads all round as these worked well last time on the old Zed with oem brembo disks. IMO think the yellow stuff were to abrasive on the disc. Might have been bad combo? I also dont want low speed braking squeals like I used to get on the Ferrodos DS (but by heak were these the best tried so far). Open to suggestions.... I have a medium budget as I also need two new rear RE50A's..
  9. I will take these of your hands. Will send pm when back home. Ta
  10. I spotted it too on Osbourne road. Was on foot though.
  11. typical just as I buy a set...I agree best mod on 313 who cares if 1-5 bhp down! It makes the engine sing when u want it too! a steal!
  12. Thanks for this great guide. Took a little longer than planned. Couldn't get the eject mech trick to work, got fed up trying, so stripped a tape down and used this to fool it. I put sound deadening material in the tape enclosure, so I don't get any wurring noise from the motor/s. Used a nylon cable tie and two sticky mounts on underside of cubby hole to add strain relief to the cable. Tracks were cut so unsure if they make any difference. Sounds great. Best money spent on the Zed to date. Wish I did this now on my old 350....

    AVON ZZ5

My mate tried to get a set of these for his Zed, they only can supply the rear tyres atm for oem 18inch rims in the ZZ5 rubber. Think evo may have made a mistake. He ended up with ZZ3's. Which to be fair feel pretty good.
  14. I had this happen loads on my 54 plate zed. Its a pain hey! I found it was normally down the the seatbelt guide on where it fixed to the A frame. I managed to unravel by fiddling around with the hanger.
  15. mods please remove this sale complete
  16. Provisionally sold to [Chris]. If sale falls through i will get in contact with other pm's in order of received.
  17. Cargo net for 350z. Just purchased another 350z and it already has one in the boot. A very useful bit of kit to keep the shopping in place. £20 inc p&p within UK http://img545.imageshack.us/i/dsc00481a.jpg/ Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  18. google doesn't show too much, they look well made and sort of oem. usual blab about filtration quality etc. I imagine if the are good enough for dragsters should be fine on a zed.
  19. See link R2C Performance Powerflow Performance Kit - 07-08 Nissan 350z http://www.r2cperformance.com/2007-2008 ... ntake.aspx Seen them for $250. I was gonna have one shipped to my dads place in NY and grab it next time i was out there... Do i assume they are rubbish at that price? Looked on the site they seem to do filters for a good range of cars?
